The children's librarian at our local branch when I was a child. She would talk to each child, discover likes and dislikes, then pointed us to books we would enjoy, fostering a love of reading.

I've been a CSA member of a local organic farm for two years. Farmers markets are becoimg more plentiful in my area - love being able to purchase local vegetables, fruits, meats and other goodies. They raste so much better than the supermarket stuff.

In a bookstore,the cover may attract my attention, but it's the book blurb that is the selling point. Reissues are wonderful - I'm able to read books I missed the first time around and fill in the gaps in my collection of an author's book list.

My picture of the hero is formed from the author's description. The things that make a hero memorable to me are the way he deals with porblems/obstacles thrown in his way and how he treats the people/animals in his life.

The first romance books I read belonged to my older sister. I fell in love with the genre - so nice to know that things will work out and there's a HEA. I will admit that some of the covers used to make me cringe, but that never stopped me from buying the books!

Too many favorites to choose just one! My older sister and brother loved to read and introduced me to many romance, romantic suspense, mystery, western and science fiction writers. In high school, I fell in love with Shakespeare, Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.

I was filling in for the VP's secretary while she was out to lunch The VP was in a meeting and not to be disturbed with the exception of five people. A man poked his head in the door and wanted to know if the VP was available. When I informed him the VP was in a meeting and did not wish to be disturbed, the man asked me to let the VP know he had stopprd by. I asked for his name - he was the President ogf the organization1 How was I to know - I'd never seen his picture. I informed him that I would let the VP know he was here. The President said it wasn't necessary and to let the VP know after his meeting. Fortunately he was a nice man and was not offended by the fact that I did not know who he was. When I told my boss, she laughed.
