Mystery Cozy

Nora Charles doesn’t believe in fate, even if she is a crime reporter who shares a name with a character from The Thin Man. In fact, she’s moving back to Cruz, California, to have a quieter life. But after finding an online magazine eager for material, and a stray cat named Nick with a talent for detection, Nora’s not just reporting crimes again. She’s uncovering them…

Back in her hometown, Nora reconnects with old friends and makes some new ones, like Nick, the charming feline who seems determined to be her cat. But not everything about Cruz is friendly. Writing for a local online magazine, Nora investigates the curious death of socialite Lola Grainger. Though it was deemed an accident, Nora suspects foul play. And it seems that her cat does too.

Apparently, Nick used to belong to a P.I. who disappeared while investigating Lola Grainger’s death. The coincidence is spooky, but not as spooky as the clues Nick spells out for her with Scrabble letters—clues that lead her down an increasingly dangerous path. Whether fate put her on this case or not, solving it will take all of Nora’s wits, and maybe a few of Nick’s nine lives.

Re: Meow If It's Murder

My type of read. I love to watch Murder She Wrote, the Nick
and Nora movies (and of course Asta) and authors like Joanne
Fluke who writes about Hannah in Minnesota. My friend helped
Monica with her book And Then You Dye. I look forward to
reading your books.

Your book sounds like just the ticket to cozy up to once the
snow starts flying up here (no pun intended)!! Whenever I
can find a story that's just a little different from
everything else, to switch things up a little bit from what
I've been reading, it's a welcomed relief!! I'll be putting
your book on my TBR list for sure!! Being an owner of 2
cats, how could I resist?? The cover of your book was very
well done, too!! Whomever did the artwork for your cover is
to be commended!! Congratulations on your book!! It should
do very well, due to the fact that there are a lot of
readers out there that are familiar with Nick and Nora
Charles, as well as Jessica Fletcher. They had a big
following, and you should as well.

I had a cat once just like that. She had hurt one foot. I miss her but she died of old age. I have lots of cats but none that color anymore. Got 15 outside, 3 inside and a dog outside.

After reading this posting, it made me want to read your
book all the more!! I was a big Natalie Wood fan as well,
and her death still bothers me to this day. I'm looking

hold special meaning to me, after knowing a little bit more
about the background. Wishing you all the best in the New
