Working the graveyard shift at the sheriff's office is hard work. And Deputy Rain McCandless is busy keeping her dog- napping grandfather out of trouble all day. So when a sexy intruder claims to be an angel then warns her she's going to die, Rain starts to wonder if she's going off the deep end. Dillon Taylor isn't exactly an angel—he's a nephilim. He doesn't live by the same rules as angels or humans, but there is on rule he doesn't like to break: never get involved with mortals. But the old man's granddaughter is in danger and it couldn't hurt to change fate just this once...could it?

Looking after an aging relative is difficult. We just had grandma staying with
us for a few days. That is always an experience. Her short term memory is
basically gone. After a few time answering the same question I
occasionally start having more fun with the answers so I won't lose my
temper with her. She always has to be busy. Mom got her started knitting
again. If she doesn't think about it it goes well. When she starts
concentrating she starts to have trouble or when she sometimes comes to
the end of a row.

Hi Laura! Thanks for stopping by. That's so sad. It's really hard when a relative has dementia. Usually long term memory is better. You might try asking her about the past???
Hi Bonnie! Thanks so much for your wonderful comments!

Knowing my upbringing, I'd have a hard time believing that such a thing existed, so I'd have to have him prove that he existed. After that, then I suppose the Angelic thoughts would come. Your book sounds like the perfect start to the steamy Summer that we're having right now!! Not only do I love the cover, but I love the story line, and would love to read the book, and find out how the story ends. Congratulations on your book!!
(Peggy Roberson 10:54am June 27, 2013)
I think it would be difficult to have only angelic thoughts.

I have been having the same problem as Raine - family and life. My grandparents raised me - unfortunately I now live 1000 miles away and my grandmother has stage 4 cancer and my grandfather has alzheimers. I think if an angel appeared I would be asking for help and guidance, or even an extra set of hands to help out.

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your books in this series! I read, Where There's Smoke and am just finishing up reading, Where There's A Will. I was hooked after reading the first one...it was so good and a real page-turner! I definitely needed a cold shower afterwards, especially since no angel has appeared at my door! And, no, it would be hard to have angelic thoughts after what a good-looking nephilim does to you!!! Whew! Hope you keep writing these books (I don't want them to end)! You're my favorite author, for sure!
(Linda Luinstra 5:46pm June 27, 2013)

Wow, Congrats on 23 books and SMOKING HOT sounds like a
fantastic book to read and win too. Yes, I would love to
have an Angel/Nephilim come down to Earth and help me out
and make all my dreams come true. Yes, I would have angelic
thoughts and it would be great to know how and when you are
going to die too. Thank You so much. Cecilia CECE

Nephilim is a breed between angel and human. According to religious sources, they were the kind that God send the flood to destroy. Now if I had an Angel/Nephilim who save my life and really rock my world, it would be impure thoughts.

I notice angels getting into more stores, I think as long as they are interesting angels that is fine!
(Clare O'Beara 11:12am June 28, 2013)
We all need an angel in our lives, even if we find them in a book. Your books are so interesting and I can't wait to read this one

Totally angelic thoughts. *adjusts tarnished and slightly crooked halo*

An angel on my shoulder would be a cherub with arrows making
dreams a reality. Erotic Romances seem to be hot this year
(Alyson Widen 4:51pm June 30, 2013)
And this looks 'smokin' hot!'
