Re: Falling for the P.I. (9:09pm August 18, 2015):

I like books with kids if they fit the storyline, because kids bring so much depth and humor to a story.

Re: At Ease (9:07pm August 18, 2015):

My least favorite word is horrific. It was used so often on 9/11 that no matter where it's now used it brings me back to that sad day.

Re: Island Dreams (9:03pm August 18, 2015):

I love Mackinac Island in northern Michigan. No gas powered vehicles and great fudge!

Re: Penalty Play (8:44pm August 13, 2015):

I want to connect to the characters' emotions and get caught up in their journey to their HEA.

Re: Courtship of the Cake (8:59pm June 23, 2015):

I love a classic carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

Re: The Spring Bride (8:54pm June 23, 2015):

I love reading romance for the character's journey towards their HEA.

Re: At the Spy's Pleasure (1:23am May 27, 2015):

I like second chance stories. It's interesting to see how the character's have changed in their time apart...and how they're still the same.

Re: A Family for the Bull Rider (1:18am May 27, 2015):

I don't have a favorite, but I'll be looking out for Harve now!

Re: Heart of a Bull Rider (1:14am May 27, 2015):

I've never been to a live rodeo. I've only caught bull riding on TV, so I don't have one favorite rider. But I'll be watching out for Reese now!

Re: Against the Tide (1:09am May 27, 2015):

I'd love to travel Route 66. I think that would be fun and educational.

Re: Passionately Yours (1:06am May 27, 2015):

So far I only have Olivia's story, so I have to pick her. ;)

Re: Wedding Bells in Christmas (12:57pm May 27, 2015):

I love the "Old, New, Borrowed, Blue" wedding tradition.

Re: The Mystery Writers of America Cookbook (9:41pm March 31, 2015):

Apple pie, any cake and all the ice cream disappears. LOL

Re: Heartbreak Cove (12:11pm March 10, 2015):

I loved the blurb and the excerpt! I'm really looking forward to reading this book.

Re: At Wolf Ranch (10:03pm February 25, 2015):

I love that they are strong, protective and honorable.

Re: Forever in My Heart (10:58pm February 24, 2015):

I love former military men as heroes. This book sounds really good!

Re: Meet Me At The Beach (10:51pm February 24, 2015):

Well, I met my hubby at work on the midnight shift on a locked Psych unit. Usually there were only three of us working each night so we had to get along and work well together. We've been married for almost 24 years so I think we're doing okay. LOL

Re: Claimed by the Sheikh (7:21pm February 19, 2015):

Congrats on your book, Rachael! It sounds really good!

Re: Once a Wallflower, At Last His Love (8:28pm February 11, 2015):

I'm looking forward to reading this story, Christi!

I'm almost finished reading NO MATTER WHAT by Erin Nicholas and I adore the hero, Adam Steele. He's a single father of a teenage daughter who recently lost the lower half of one leg due to cancer. He sounds like you described yourself...he'll do anything for her. :-)

Re: More Than A Duke (8:34pm January 15, 2015):

They have to be smart, loyal and able to stand up for their beliefs. They can be flawed, both emotionally and/or physically, but they have to be capable of loving someone else more than themselves.

Re: Hard to Come By (9:42pm November 26, 2014):

Donna Alward wrote HER LONE COWBOY with a former military man who had lost his right arm.

RaeAnne Thayne wrote DANCING IN THE MOONLIGHT that had a heroine who was former military and had lost a leg.

These were both good books, but I plan to start reading Marz tonight and I can't wait! I love your Hard Ink series, Laura!

Re: Play Me Wild (9:28pm November 26, 2014):

I read every day. I plan to start HARD TO COME BY by Laura Kaye tonight. I love her Hard Ink series.

Re: Two Week Seduction (12:11pm November 6, 2014):

I love the changing color of the leaves and the crisp smell in the air.

Re: A Rake By Any Other Name (12:08pm November 6, 2014):

My favorite rake is whichever one I'm reading at the time. There are too many great ones to choose just one. LOL

Re: Lady Elinor's Wicked Adventures (12:05pm November 6, 2014):

I love reading cookbooks! I'm lucky that my MIL does also and I'm giving her a reprinted historical cookbook for her December birthday this year.

I wish I knew what Devil's Tears were. My first thought was tiny tomatoes, but I can't recall when people stopped thinking that tomatoes were poisonous.

Re: What To Do With A Bad Boy (6:45pm November 4, 2014):

Jill Shalvis - Lucky Harbor and Animal Magnetism series
Susan Mallery - Fool's Gold series
Laura Kaye - Hard Ink series

Re: Bridging Two Hearts (10:04pm October 3, 2014):

I loved reading your post, Michelle! What a journey. I had to laugh at the first question you were always asked: Where did you get my number? LOL And now to be stalked...er...'followed' on twitter. :D

Re: Her Best Shot (9:57pm October 3, 2014):

I have to go with Daniel. I also love a good sense of humor. :D

Re: Reforming the Rock Star (12:12pm September 30, 2014):

I'd love to reinvent myself. LOL But at my age I don't think it would change anything. My hubby has stuck around for 23+ years with the me he has. ;)

But I loved your story, Christine. :)

Re: Always a Rogue, Forever Her Love (12:29pm September 19, 2014):

I have a rather zany sense of humor which I love to use on unsuspecting friends. LOL

Re: Ain't She Sweet? (11:55pm August 15, 2014):

Wow, what a great post, Sarah! I don't know how I missed this book, but I'm going to get a copy ASAP. I think we all can relate to Sugar Beth.

Re: Across the Line (10:40pm August 15, 2014):

Hi Kate! I watched a couple of the prank videos. LOL

I've already read both of your books and loved the tie prank on Fishy! Poor thing. :D

Re: Accidentally Married on Purpose (12:57pm July 19, 2014):

I never had a crush on a movie star or a poster on the wall. I started reading romance as a preteen and focused on the characters.

Re: The Longest Night (11:47pm July 16, 2014):

I love snowbound stories and this one sounds great!

Re: In Bed with the Competition (4:30pm July 10, 2014):

I always learn something new when I read historical romances.

I like the sound of this book/series and I really love the covers!

Re: Playing the Game (7:39pm June 10, 2014):

I like how Jay is the go-between for the other two more dominant characters. He sounds fun.

Re: Their Unexpected Love (7:24pm June 7, 2014):

Susan Mallery's latest Fool's Gold book, BEFORE WE KISS, was really good and had many funny moments. You don't need to have read any of the other books in this series to fall right into this one either.

Re: Meet the Earl at Midnight (10:59pm May 22, 2014):

During our first year of marriage my hubby decided to attend a six month lineman school (learning how to climb power poles) about 300 miles north of where we lived. While he was up north I continued to work full time and every other weekend we'd meet halfway between us for about 36 hours. It wasn't easy or fun for me, but I knew it was something he really wanted to do.

Re: To Charm a Naughty Countess (10:45pm May 22, 2014):

"You own my heart."

I can't wait to read this book, Theresa!

Re: Always Emily (12:48pm May 14, 2014):

I have a friend that I consider the sister of my heart. I can always talk to her and know that she'll always have my best interests at heart. Even though we now live in different states, it seems like no time has passed when we talk.

Re: Risky Game (12:43pm May 14, 2014):

I really like sports romance. Some of the series I like are:
Love and Football - Julie Brannagh
Portland Storm - Catherine Gayle (hockey)
Men of the Show - Rhonda Shaw (baseball)
In the Zone - Kate Willoughby (hockey)
Fighting for Love - Gina Maxwell (MMA)

Re: Wild Ways (12:31pm May 14, 2014):

You're a new author to me, but I like the sounds of these books.

I recently read my first MC book and I was surprised how much I liked it. I think it's all the alpha males and their bond as 'brothers' that I like.

Re: Searching for Perfect (8:49pm April 30, 2014):

I love seeing characters pop up in other books in a series! Some of my favorites are:
Lucky Harbor by Jill Shalvis
Fool's Gold by Susan Mallery
Hard Ink by Laura Kaye
Thunder Point by Robyn Carr

Re: A Beautiful Distraction (12:56pm April 30, 2014):

This is a new author to me, but I love the sound of this book! I'm a sucker for a wounded warrior.

Re: Out of Control (12:52pm April 30, 2014):

If the setting works for the story than it works for me. I'm open to explore with the characters since I haven't traveled that much myself.

Re: A Broken Kind Of Beautiful (9:18pm April 25, 2014):

People with a genuinely good heart are beautiful. Those that go out of their way to help others with no thought of themselves.

Re: East of Ecstasy (7:45pm April 24, 2014):

Hi Laura. I'm looking forward to reading this series.

I love series because I connect with book characters and don't want their stories to end. It's almost like they're friends and I want to catch up with them as their life changes after their own book has ended.

Re: A Shot of Red (9:53pm April 23, 2014):

I've been to a cheese factory but would love to go again since I love cheese. LOL I'd also like to try glass blowing. I've only seen it done on TV and it looks like a lot of work, but fun.

Re: Wild About Her Wingman (9:46pm April 23, 2014):

Hi Robin! I loved Troy and Erin - since WILD ABOUT HER WINGMAN already met my eReader!

Cake and ice cream, cheese and crackers, chips and dip, chicken and dumplings, bagels and cream cheese, a cat and a piece of string. :)

Re: Rustler's Heart (5:17pm April 22, 2014):

'Salt of the earth' to me is someone good, honest and loyal.

Re: The Ace (6:06pm April 12, 2014):

A grand slam homer with bases loaded.

Re: A Promise In Pieces (9:09pm April 4, 2014):

Your story was touching. I'm glad you nurtured that girl inside with the big voice. Congrats on your debut book!

Re: The Red-Hot Chili Cook-Off (9:16pm April 3, 2014):

The book sounds great, Carolyn, and I love Jalapeno Poppers.
I like this better than canned sauce because you have control of the salt content.
Enchilada Sauce
1/4 cup vegetable or canola oil
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 Tablespoons chili powder
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/4 teaspoon salt
Heat oil in a large skillet to medium heat. Whisk in flour and chili powder. Reduce heat to medium and continue to whisk until lightly browned. Gradually whisk in tomato sauce, chicken broth, cumin, garlic powder, onion salt and salt. Stir until smooth, and continue simmering over medium heat about 10 minutes, or until slightly thickened.

Serve immediately, or keep in a covered bowl in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Makes 2.5 cups.

Re: How to Handle a Cowboy (9:10pm April 3, 2014):

I love series and/or connected stories and cowboys are an added bonus. I like seeing what previous characters are doing because in a good book they almost feel like friends and I'm invested in their lives. I like starting with the first book in a series, but also think each book should stand alone so the reader doesn't feel lost if they don't start with book #1.

Re: Dash of Peril (6:56pm April 2, 2014):

I'm so impressed that you're a pantster, Lori. That must make the writing process so exciting. LOL I can't wait to read this story and I love the cover.

Re: The Winter Bride (6:51pm April 2, 2014):

I like beta heroes, because I believe even they have a bit of alpha hidden in them when it comes to someone they love. I can't wait to read this book, Anne. The cover is gorgeous, too.
~Marcy

Re: Mad About You (7:10pm April 1, 2014):

I love friends to lovers stories. I recently read NO STRINGS ATTACHED by Nicolette Day and really enjoyed it.

I met my hubby at work and though we were friendly, we were more co-workers than friends at first.

Re: Dyed and Gone (7:05pm March 29, 2014):

Lots of interesting uses. I've used them to pit cherries. My grandmother had a fruit farm and taught me that trick.

Re: Moonlight on My Mind (6:05pm March 28, 2014):

I really enjoyed this discussion...and actually hearing Jennifer's voice. I love her books and can't wait to read Moonlight On My Mind. I'm also excited to hear she's got another book coming about an accidental wallflower! Yea!

Re: Silence Of The Wolf (5:37pm March 20, 2014):

I want Guthrie under my Christmas tree. LOL Cold weather is always better with someone warm to snuggle with.

Re: Kissing with Fangs (5:32pm March 20, 2014):

I haven't read your books before, but I loved the excerpt and would love to read more.

Re: Turned (7:00pm March 19, 2014):

I would love to read more. The blurb and teaser are intriguing.

I haven't seen that movie, but I love the picture you posted above. And I love the sound of your new book!

Re: The Rancher's Second Chance (7:14pm March 12, 2014):

I love cowboy heroes because their muscles come from hard work and they're loyal and honorable. The jeans and chaps don't hurt either. ;)

Re: Some Like It Wild (12:23pm March 12, 2014):

Sounds like a great book. Thanks for the chance to win a copy.

Re: Mustang Sassy (3:31am March 5, 2014):

I don't have a special song, but I do love the new one called "Happy"...or maybe it's "Because I'm Happy." It's very upbeat and catchy. :)

'Beautiful' is someone with a big heart and who takes into account how others feel.

Re: Safe in the Tycoon's Arms (3:17am March 5, 2014):

Re: The Chance (7:33pm February 27, 2014):

I can't wait to read THE CHANCE. I loved the previous books in this series!

Re: Must Love Dukes (7:31pm February 27, 2014):

It has to be when I encountered a not very well-liked boss sitting at the next table at a restaurant. And he didn't have a clue he wasn't well-liked. *sigh*

Re: Hot Rock (9:56pm February 25, 2014):

I think it's because they sing to us and their lyrics touch us in some way. It's very appealing to feel that someone understands us.

Re: The Temptation of Laura (9:51pm February 25, 2014):

I've never been to Bath but I love reading about it. This story sounds so interesting and unlike other books I've read.

Re: The Trouble With Honor (9:49pm February 25, 2014):

I love this excerpt. Honor is one smart cookie. George Easton better stop underestimating her. LOL

Re: Between the Sheets (12:04pm February 25, 2014):

Congrats on the new book! I checked into it and it sounds fabulous!

Re: Bound to be Dirty (10:06pm February 22, 2014):

I haven't read 50 Shades, but have read other books in this category. You're a new-to-me author, Susan, and this book/series sounds like a fun and interesting concept. I'm going to check out the other books in this series on your website.

Re: Full Measures (10:00pm February 22, 2014):

I have great respect for military people and their families. I'd love to read this book and will be putting it on my wish list.

Re: Mint Juleps and Justice (9:56pm February 22, 2014):

{{{Nancy}}} My thoughts are with you and your family.

In real life I prefer beta, but in books I'll take an alpha who reveals his beta bits only to me.

Re: The Cowboy's Mail Order Bride (6:31pm February 20, 2014):

I love mail order bride stories and I'm tickled to find out you were one, Carolyn. LOL I loved the excerpt and the book is already on my wish list.

Re: The Tycoon's Socialite Bride (6:10pm February 19, 2014):

I like more realistic romances, but romance books are to get away from the real world and escape in the fantasy of the story.

Re: Lord of the Sea (6:08pm February 19, 2014):

No hero is perfect, but they can learn from their flaws and become a better person in the end.

Re: Once In A Lifetime (5:40pm February 19, 2014):

Such a touching scene...sigh worthy. But then again, I adore Jill's writing!

Thanks for the giveaway. This book sounds perfect for me. I love medieval Knights.

Re: Much Ado About Jack (11:12pm February 13, 2014):

I think the Regency would have inspired Shakespeare to write a whole slew of new stories!

Re: What The Groom Wants (11:08pm February 13, 2014):

I was hoping it was B because that sounds like family fun. LOL But D works, too.

Re: Deep in My Heart (9:01pm February 12, 2014):

That was a great interview, Patricia. I loved that it was given as if by your characters. And I had to laugh when they thought a May/December romance meant the months of the year instead of one with people of diverse ages. LOL

Re: What The Groom Wants (9:06pm February 7, 2014):

Skype sex? In that version the internet provider is in control. LOL

Re: The MacGregor's Lady (9:00pm February 7, 2014):

I love a good Scottish burr, too, and I adore a kilted man. *sigh*

Do you plan more than three books for this series, Grace? If so, how many more.

Re: Breakaway Hearts (5:50pm February 5, 2014):

I love watching the Olympic Games. I love the figure skating, ski jumping and the bobsled racing. My favorite movie is Ice Castles. The song "Through The Eyes of Love" from that movie was sung at my wedding.

Re: A Perfect Distraction (5:46pm February 5, 2014):

I'll be lucky if my hubby evens remembers Valentine's Day. But he usually gets some candy for 50% off the next day. LOL My favorite flowers are daffodils and jonquils.

Sounds great. Thanks for the chance to win a copy.

Re: Love in the Library (10:14pm January 29, 2014):

I love your Brides of Bath series, Cheryl.

Re: Wishing On Buttercups (7:16pm January 24, 2014):

There are things in my family that I fear I'll be judged on if they were well known, even though I had nothing to do with it. I try to live for the present.

Re: Love Songs for the Road (5:16pm January 21, 2014):

Congrats on your first book! I used to work on a locked Psych unit and we never used our last names for safety. I'm careful what/where I post things because of that experience.

Re: More Than A Touch (8:43pm January 17, 2014):

It has to be the connection of the characters that makes me care for them. They become *real* to me and almost like family by the end of the book. That's why I like series. More time with the characters.

Re: Sadie's Secret (8:37pm January 17, 2014):

I never knew Pinkerton agents could be women. How fascinating! I always learn new things when I read historical books.

I really like the sound of this book. I like a stubborn and feisty heroine.

Re: The Groom's Gamble (3:10pm January 5, 2014):

I love this series and am really looking forward to reading this book. It'll be a good way to welcome in 2014!

Re: Needing Her (5:02pm December 24, 2013):

During HS when a friend was driving I would reach over and honk the horn when passing a cute guy. I'd duck down in the passenger seat and she'd be left looking at the guy as he looked to see who honked. LOL It worked many times.

Re: A Perfect Distraction (3:12pm December 23, 2013):

My list has many from your list. LOL

White Christmas
The Family Stone
The Holiday
While You Were Sleeping
It's a Wonderful Life

Re: Welcome Back To Apple Grove (3:39pm December 20, 2013):

That's Peanut BUTTER Blossoms (above), not bitter. LOL

Re: Welcome Back To Apple Grove (3:37pm December 20, 2013):

We always make Peanut Bitter Blossoms (your PB Kiss cookies) and Pecan Tassies - basically little pecan pies made in the mini muffin tins.

You're a new author to me, but I loved the excerpts from this book and I'll be sure to check into it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Hard As It Gets (4:07pm November 25, 2013):

I love Jill Shalvis's Animal Magnitism series because it's loaded with quirky animals.

Kristan Higgins' book, Just One of the Guys, also has a dog that just cracked me up. It was in heat and the hero put underwear on her before she escaped to run rampant down the main street of the town. LOL Many of her books contain animals.

Re: Behind the Shattered Glass (12:31pm October 17, 2013):

I love Fairy Tales and this sounds like an interesting adaptation.

Re: It Takes Two To Tangle (12:41pm September 13, 2013):

I was always called Marcy as a shortened version of my name, Marcelyn. But sometimes other kids would call me Moosey or Mousey. My online friends call me Marshy (shortened from Marshmallow, or Marshy-mallow because I'm so sweet. *gg*) and I use a flaming marshmallow as my FB picture. LOL My hubby will sometimes call me Snookums. :D

THE UGLY DUCHESS by Eloisa James.

I also love the beauty and the beast trope.

Re: Cowboy Seeks Bride (3:21pm August 23, 2013):

I don't like when series come to an end as I do feel like the characters are almost friends/family by then. I'm all for spin-off books with related characters though. I like the reality TV premise in this story, too.

Re: Rancher to the Rescue (4:22pm July 17, 2013):

Re: Merger to Marriage (4:13pm July 13, 2013):

I don't mind a tried and true set up since each author handles it differently.

While I love the chocolate factory episode, my favorite one if where Ricky is singing a requested song at Club Babaloo for someone who wants to tell her hubby they're having a baby. It still gets me when he finds Lucy in the audience and realizes that he's the one about to be a father.

I've never attended a reader's event, but the huge book signings held at the RWA conferences sound like so much fun!

Re: Summer at Mustang Ridge (6:55pm June 12, 2013):

My mother in law passed down the family's 'secret' recipe for white fruitcake. And it really is good! Totally different than the molasses based dark ones. It's fought over at my house.

Re: The Fireman's Homecoming (6:40pm June 12, 2013):

Obviously I love to read. LOL But I also enjoy counted cross stitch and quilting.

Re: Flirting with Disaster (5:13pm June 12, 2013):

A hero without flaws would not seem real to me. A fatal flaw would be if he were verbally or physically abusive to others. That would be really hard for me to overcome and give the guy a chance to win me over.

This book (and series) sounds like so much fun!

Re: Secrets of a Runaway Bride (5:25pm April 2, 2013):

I like Sarah MacLean's "Rule of Scoundrels" titles (A Rogue by Any Other Name & One Good Earl Deserves a Lover). They just make me smile.

Re: Once Tempted (5:47pm April 1, 2013):

My father was a teacher, so every summer he'd load up my mom, the tent and all five kids for a massive 'educational' road trip. Usually it included some conference for him to attend while we were left at the campground. HE got to go to Disneyland...none of us kids did. I also got the mumps during that California trip and had to be snuck into the rest stops on the way home. No fun for us at all.

Re: Identity Crisis (5:00pm March 28, 2013):

What a fascinating post. I never knew that many forgeries were in museums, and I was floored to hear that Picasso even signed 'good' forgeries.

Re: A Shot Of Sultry (4:57pm March 28, 2013):

My hubby isn't romantic, but once the night feedings were over with our two boys, he took over getting up at night if the boys ever called out. I was with them during the daytime and also worked in the evenings, so he gave me the gift of sleep.

Re: Sins of a Ruthless Rogue (3:58pm March 26, 2013):

That was an exciting introduction to Russia, Anna. LOL The book sounds great.

I like a little of both. I read to escape, but I have to be able to relate to the heroine.

Re: The Marriage Bargain (6:44pm March 6, 2013):
