Mystery Cozy

This time, it has to be forever

Emily Jordan has been in and out of Salem Pearce's life for years. As an archaeologist, her work often took her far away—even when he asked her to stay. She called it bad timing. He called it running away. Now she's back and asking for one last chance.

But Salem is a single father with more than himself to think about. If he gives Emily another shot and she takes off again, it'll hurt his daughters, too. He can't take that risk. But deep down, he needs Emily. He always has. Maybe this time she'll stay….

Re: Always Emily

I have a friend that I consider the sister of my heart. I can always talk to her and know that she'll always have my best interests at heart. Even though we now live in different states, it seems like no time has passed when we talk.

Marcelyn, how wonderful that you have such a close friend! It sounds like a truly
special relationship. We're fortunate these days that communication is so easy
now when friends or family move away!

When I was growing up, I had my big Sister to go to, because
she had already been through the things I was going through
with my Parents, and gave me advice on how to deal with
different issues. Now that I'm older, I have a best
Girlfriend who is actually closer to me than my own Sister,
who I can bounce things off of, and she's helped me with
problems from time to time, or is there just to have a nice
chat. She's actually brought parts of my personality out -
good things, that I didn't know existed, and for that alone,
I don't know how I could ever repay her!! Your book sounds
like the perfect read to usher in Spring with!! I love the
concept of the story line!!

The book sounds fascinating. I have to admit to being very lucky to have a great mom that is my go to person when I need to talk about anything.

Your book sounds wonderful. I was lucky to have had a great Mom, and have a great sister, and had a great brother, too. Both my Mom and brother have already gone - way too early - but I still have that sister. I consider myself blessed. Thanks for this chance to win.

Hi, Peggy. It sounds like you've been twice-blessed in sisterhood and in
friendship!

Pam, your mom sounds wonderful. I hope you had a great Mother's Day!
(
Mary Sullivan 12:04pm May 14, 2014)

Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom and your brother. My mom died four
years ago and there aren't many days that go by in which I don't think of her. I'm
so happy you have a great sister!
(
Mary Sullivan 12:05pm May 14, 2014)

Yes though that person didn't enter my life until I was an adult.

I've had numerous good friends to whom I have turned through the decades. When I was 19, I lived with a woman who taught me to cook with love (and not necessarily measurements of ingredients); her shoulder was always available. When I got married, I had a few BFFs who were there for me. When my mom died, my mother-in-law stepped in to help me (but not to replace my mom, but instead to enhance our relationship). When I had kids, I reconnected with two high-school chums, and we visit each other every year at each of our homes a few hours apart. My big sis lives 2000+ miles away, but she would be here if I needed her, no questions asked (as I would be for her). I am blessed.

I have a very good friend Vickie that would always be/has been
a good sounding board for me. We have been like two peas in a
pod at times and then there are times when we fight like
sisters. However, she has been there thru some very tough
times and always kept me sane.
(
Tina Ullrich 2:26pm May 14, 2014)

Larena, it doesn't matter at what age they appear, these special people matter,
don't they?

L Lam, wonderful that your special person is your mom!
(
Mary Sullivan 4:14pm May 14, 2014)

Elaine, you are indeed blessed.
(
Mary Sullivan 4:14pm May 14, 2014)

Tina, I like the description of the two of you like two peas in a pod :-)

I have always been blessed with wonderful people in my life. I like to think I am a good listener as well as someone that needs a friend to listen to me.

No one comes to mind but I've always had a good family support system.

My step-father was always there for me. Thank goodness, if it hadn't been for him I don't know what I would have done!
(

A friend just married a man with kids. We all went to school together, with
her a year behind us, and they actually never met until just a few years
back. I always thought they'd be good together. Now she gets to help
coparent his 2 children.
(
Michelle Schafer 5:06pm May 15, 2014)

I had an older woman that I could go to with anything. She was single and never had kids and loved life. I learned so much about living from her!
