Caitlin Mulcahy loves her family. She really does. But sometimes they can drive her to her last shred of sanity—from her dad ("I'm not meddling, I just want what's best for you") to her eight–months–pregnant older sister to her younger sister, who will do just about anything to avoid real work. Cait just needs to get away, even if for only an hour. When she sees someone in need of help on the side of the road, of course she's going to pull over. She might even be able to fix his engine—after all, the Mulcahy family is a handy bunch. She's not expecting that former Marine Dr. Jack Gannon and a little black puppy named Jameson will be the ones who end up rescuing her...

Re: One Day in Apple Grove
I had the pleasure to read One Day in Apple Grove, it's a keeper for sure. Love this close knit town, strong heroine and you will get to laugh too! A MUST read! (Cathy Genna 1:30pm May 30, 2013)
I have not attended a Readers Event but it sounds like something I would enjoy. Thanks. (Dianne McVetty 2:51am June 13, 2013)
Hi Dianne! Depending on how you feel about crowds there are a number of reader events out there where readers have the chance to meet and chat with authors one-on-one. :) (C.H. Admirand 6:16am June 13, 2013)
I have not attended any but they look like fun. (Maureen Emmons 6:16am June 13, 2013)
I also have never attended a Readers Event. I did go to a James Patterson signing once but I think going to a Readers Event would be fun... (Bonnie Capuano 7:35am June 13, 2013)
I've never been but I would totally go if one of my favorite authors was in my area. (Jamie Fortney 9:18am June 13, 2013)
I have never attended a Readers Event but would love to since it would be unforgettable and fascinating. (Sharon Berger 9:53am June 13, 2013)
No, I haven't. They are usually too far for me to attend... But I would love to! (May Pau 10:09am June 13, 2013)
no i have never attended a Readers Event (Denise Smith 10:17am June 13, 2013)
Oh, your new Western Trilogy sounds wonderful, C.H. ~ can't wait and I agree~ write faster! ;) Can't wait to read your Apple Grove Series and I am going in search of your Irish Cowboy Westerns and adding them to my TBR List! I have been to various Author book signings and RT in Savannah ~ CRW and a few others~ I Love it all and never miss a chance to go when I can! It is absolutely amazing and the energy is magical! I will be looking for your new Historical Trilogy~I am interested in which cowboy loses the argument and why. You certainly have my attention and I am intrigued to say the least. :) Happy Reading and Writing~ Cheers~ Elizabeth MacGregor (Elizabeth MacGregor 11:19am June 13, 2013)
I have never gone to a reader's event before, but would love to go!! They are all quite a distance from me, and I can't afford it at the moment. I've spoken to a few Authors on line, and am in awe of the work you do. To be able to pick a particular event would be hard, because they all have their good points, as well as their bits of fun!! I would also enjoy making new friends out there, who enjoy the same livlihood as me, which is nice. As for your book, I love the cover, for starters!! It looks like a work of art!! Someone really outdid themselves to grace the cover of your manuscript!! That must mean that I'm going to REALLY enjoy your story!! I can't wait to kick back this Summer, and read your book, since this is a TBR listing, for sure!! Congratulations, and I'll be looking forward to more. (Peggy Roberson 11:30am June 13, 2013)
No I have never been to one...however it's not from lacking of trying. I made my hubby promise last year I could go to RomCon and wouldn't you know it...WE MOVED. One day thought I will so be there!!!! (Billie Gaskill 12:09pm June 13, 2013)
Lasy year was my first experience at a Readers Convention... was invited to a local one last Summer and it was amazing... to actually be around so many book lovers and face to face with authors... such a great experience. (Colleen Conklin 12:38pm June 13, 2013)
I've never had the opportunity to attend a Reader's Event, but I would love to. (Irene Menge 2:26pm June 13, 2013)
I've had the privilege of attending reading conferences years ago where we could meet and greet the authors. It was a real pleasure each time! (Marcia Berbeza 3:00pm June 13, 2013)
No, I've never attended a Reader's Event, but it would be nice to have the opportunity. (Anna Speed 3:33pm June 13, 2013)
Sorry I have not attended the event....not in my neck of the woods, but would love to. Keep writing these wonderful books..... (C Culp 4:37pm June 13, 2013)
Hi Everyone - catching up just got home from babysitting our grandson...FYI he is faster and lower to the ground than I am :)
Hey Maureen - Readers Events are fun. At first it is hard to switch gears and just be an author, because I'm so used to pitching in and stuffing registration bags, etc. :) (C.H. Admirand 5:10pm June 13, 2013)
Hey Bonnie - Hmmm...a James Patterson signing does sound like fun...but attending an event for Romance Readers is completely different. You should check out the RT Booklovers Convention on line to see pics and read about what goes on at a big event...then check out Lora Leigh's RAW (Reader Appreciation Weekend) for the size of event that is easy to handle if crowds are not your thing :) (C.H. Admirand 5:12pm June 13, 2013)
Hi Jamie - Exactly! LOVE being the fan girl for Nora Roberts, Julie Garwood and Sherrilyn Kenyon :) I have yet to meet Janet Evanovich, but she's on my list of faves to someday meet :) (C.H. Admirand 5:13pm June 13, 2013)
Hey Sharon - too true. The next event I'm attending is on June 29th in Long Island, NY--the Book Obsessed Chicks 2nd Annual BBQ. There will be 100 people attending and 20 of them Romance Authors :) It was a blast last year. I hope to remember to take pics this year :) (C.H. Admirand 5:14pm June 13, 2013)
Hi Denise - depending on where you are in the US, there are a number of different events that I can recommend. RT Booklovers Convention (2014 to be held in New Orleans), Lori Foster's RAGT (Reader Author Get Together) just happened last week in Ohio, Authors After Dark in Savannah Georgia in August, and Lora Leigh's RAW (Reader Appreciation Weekend) September in Maryland. (C.H. Admirand 5:16pm June 13, 2013)
Hi May - I almost missed your comment, sorry! Hmmm...where are you located? Maybe there is one coming up in 2014 that isn't that far from you :) (C.H. Admirand 5:17pm June 13, 2013)
Hi Elizabeth - thanks so much! I love writing historicals and westerns are a particular favorite of mine. At the moment, I'm almost ready to release the 3rd bk in the Irish Western Series, leaving just 1 book left to go over before re-releasing it. :) It has been such fun seeing my hardcover series in e-book and trade paperback format. :) RT is always amazing and I've been to CRW a few years back, unfortunately it usually happens right around RT and my promo dollars only stretch so far. :) Thanks for adding me to your TBR list :) (C.H. Admirand 5:20pm June 13, 2013)
Hi Peggy, I agree it is hard to pick just one event to start. I started with RT and once I started volunteering and got to know the fantastic crew behind the scenes, I've been helping ever since...and as a matter of fact, my hubby went with me to Columbus and has been going and working behind the scenes, too! LOL. Sourcebooks does a wonderful job with covers, don't they? But I do have to say that the real Jameson aka "Jamie" is much cuter than the puppy on the cover. :) (C.H. Admirand 5:22pm June 13, 2013)
I haven't, no, but I hope to one day! (Chelsea Brooks 5:27pm June 13, 2013)
Oh, BJ...I know what you mean, it is so hard sometimes. Maybe you'll get there next year :) (C.H. Admirand 5:29pm June 13, 2013)
Hey Colleen - we share the same name :) I'm so glad you had a chance to attend an event this year. It is lots of fun :) Romance Readers are such wonderful people:) (C.H. Admirand 5:30pm June 13, 2013)
Hey Irene - you never know, you might have the opportunity one day soon. I don't know why I didn't remember it before now, but Celebrate Romance in Pittsburgh was the first one I attended...I think it was 1997 or 1998...not sure of the date, but I still have the heart-shaped pin with CR on it :) (C.H. Admirand 5:32pm June 13, 2013)
Hi Marcia - I agree, it is great to meet readers and authors alike. It is always interesting to discover what hooks readers and what keeps them coming back for more :) (C.H. Admirand 5:33pm June 13, 2013)
Hey L Lam - if it is something you are interested in finding out more about, definitely google Lori Foster and Lora Leigh to find out more about their events. Starting small is much easier than starting big :) (C.H. Admirand 5:36pm June 13, 2013)
Hey Carletta now you have me wondering where you are. LOL. I'm in the woods in northern NJ and have to travel to find one, too :) (C.H. Admirand 5:37pm June 13, 2013)
Hi Chelsea - lots of fun. And as I suggested to L Lam, I'd start with a smaller venue first. :) (C.H. Admirand 5:38pm June 13, 2013)
I have not attended a Reader's Event or ever heard of any in my area in WI. I'm sure they're a lot of fun. I do enjoy reading romance books especially cowboy/western themed ones. So I'm looking forward to reading your frontier romance book when it's released. I'm always delighted to find more authors with books in that genre (Jodi Thomas has written several). Very cute and enticing book cover...makes me want to grab and read it right now! Have fun at all your Reader's Events! (Linda Luinstra 5:59pm June 13, 2013)
Hi Linda - Barbara Vey's Reader Luncheon is in Wisconsin. This was the second year, we were in Milwaukee...I'm pretty sure last year was there too...at a different location, though. :) I love writing frontier romance :)It was my first book back in 2001 and my first series and am delighted to have the rights back and re-releasing it :) (C.H. Admirand 7:06pm June 13, 2013)
I have never attended a Readers Even tbut sounds interesting. wtg on your writing skills too. (Dayle Butler 7:15pm June 13, 2013)
I have not because there's never one held in my state/city. I wish to attend something like RT, or something similar. (Lazydrag0n Puff 9:10pm June 13, 2013)
I went to a Neil Gaiman Reading Event. I love listening to his British accent as he reads an excerpt of the book he is promoting. (Kai Wong 9:51pm June 13, 2013)
I've gone to several author talks and readings - but I get so star-struck I can barely speak - I cried when I met Debbie Macomber. It is a thrill to hear an author read her own words! (Beth Fuller 10:04pm June 13, 2013)
I haven't attended any, but I would love to! (Betty Hamilton 10:05pm June 13, 2013)
i have not attended but i would if it was nearby, thnks (Debbi Shaw 10:12pm June 13, 2013)
I have attended 2 reader events. I would go to 1 or 2 every year if I could afford them. It's so nice to be surrounded by lots of people who understand my love of reading. (Jennifer Beyer 10:15pm June 13, 2013)
I have never attended a readers event but it sounds like fun! (Steve Pierce 10:38pm June 13, 2013)
I have never attended a Reader's Event yet but would love to attend some in the near future. Your book: A WEDDING IN APPLE GROVE sounds like a great book to read and win too. Thank You for the wonderful contest and Please let me know when You are coming to Austin, TX to do a Reader's Event and I would love to visit the event for sure. Thanks, Cecilia CECE (Cecilia Dunbar Hernandez 10:46pm June 13, 2013)
I have not been lucky enough to attend a Reader's Event, (unless you count a local Author signing) I would love to go to one and I'm saving up so that I can make sure it's a fantastic experience! (Sandie White 10:59pm June 13, 2013)
Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to attend a Reader's Event. From what I have seen most of them are east of me. Of course it doesn't help that I am in the southwesternly most corner of the map. Maybe one day I'll go Nike and "Just Do it!". I thoroughly devoured The Secret Life of Cowboys series and loved, loved, loved it! Good luck and happy writing! (Tracie Travis 12:01pm June 14, 2013)
I've attended Octocon which is the October SF convention in Ireland. Many great authors and between panels, signings, trade stands, film screenings and so on, it's a busy weekend! If your characters really all don't want to do something, you need to either find a new character who does, or rewrite the scene. (Clare O'Beara 3:58am June 14, 2013)
Read A Wedding in Apple Grove, twas excellent. Looking forward to One Day in Apple Grove. (Kathy Sullivan 2:13pm June 14, 2013)
I haven't been to any reader's events. (Cheryl McEwen 9:21pm June 14, 2013)
I would love to go someone. I'd have to see what's available. (Mary Preston 10:02pm June 14, 2013)
I've never attended a reader's event, but the huge book signings held at the RWA conferences sound like so much fun! (Marcy Shuler 4:37pm June 15, 2013)
Never been to a reader event, but I think I'd like to try. The book sounds good. The yet to be written ones do too. :) (Penny Mettert 5:46am June 16, 2013)
No, I've never been to a reader' event, but they do sound like a lot of fun. (Carol Woodruff 8:05pm June 16, 2013)
