I actually think friendship is a great basis for a romantic relationship. That way you know you have more in common than just a physical attraction.

I read both ways. Something like the Sookie Stackhouse books I'll read in order because they don't make as much sense otherwise. But something like a mystery series I read as I can find the books since even though the characters carry through each book has a seperate plot.

I don't prune my keeper shelf very often and when I do I don't get rid of much. Most of them I've had for years and they are out of print books that I re-read every so often.

I have several books that I read growing up which I still re-read from time to time. Smokey by Will James, Kazan by Oliver Curwood, and antything by Gene Stratton Porter. I've been able to get most of these free on my kindle so now I can keep the print copies but not wear them out since some of these are not in great shape.

I have and still but a mix of print and ebooks. My keeper shelf is more of several keeper bookcases. I have some autographed books but I also have a lot of older books that are out of print and not available in ebook.
