What Must We Sacrifice to be Forgiven?

Samuel Fisher has committed a sin of biblical proportions—he killed his own brother, Jacob. Haunted by guilt and talked by a vampire out for his soul, Samuel starts down the same dark path of destruction that led to his brother's death.

A captivating coming-of-age story unlike any other, Plain Fear: Forgiven pits redemption against temptation, love against fear, and simple faith against the intricacies of sin and salvation. In the gripping final battle between hunters and vampires, Samuel must choose where his loyalties lie. The lives of those he loves—as well as his own ultimate forgiveness—hangs in the balance.

Re: Plain Fear: Forgiven

These books look amazing! I can't wait to read them. They are definitely on my
to be read list. I equally love good guys and bad guys in the books I read. In the
end, I love it when a woman can turn a bad guy good but still keep his edginess.

they sounds really good i really cant wait to read all of
them
(
Denise Smith 8:20am August 1, 2013)

Thanks, Val and Denise! Val, I agree! Love it when a hero keeps his edginess but
can also have a softer side (seen occasionally by the woman he loves). Aren't
heroes fun?

All 3 sound like interesting. I like both good and bad boys, but I must admit that I like someone with a bit of edginess to him. It seems to add dimension to his character. I love it when a hero has to make tough choices; his choices show what his character is like.

I enjoy reading about both good guys and bad boys, but for different reasons. First of all, it depends on my mood. When I want to feel good, I read about the good guys, which is always my first choice. They always tend to make you feel good, because they know how to make their woman feel good, and you finish a book, feeling good about yourself, too. As for bad boys, when you're feeling a little devilish, they seem to foot the bill. The one thing I've noticed about the bad boys is that their woman always gets them to turn their life around, which makes you feel good in a different kind of way. While they're in their bad mode, it gives you a feeling of despair, and after their life gets turned around, you get a feeling of relief. It's a lot of emotion to go through, and you mainly feel sorry for the woman, because she has to be exposed to all of that emotion, and sometimes a bit of violence. I love the story line that you chose to write about, and would love to read your books to finish out the Summer on a good note. The covers are wonderful. They look like works of art, and going by the reviews, I'm sure that I'm in for quite a treat when I flip open the covers!! They're definately on my TBR list!!

Sandy, you're so right! Choices really reveal who a character is! Peggy, what a
thoughtful comment! Thanks for taking the time to write all of that! I think those
bad boys tend to make selfish decisions when we first meet them. And that may
be why they make you feel bad. I think of Sawyer, in LOST. Oh boy I miss that
show. And Sawyer was such a great character. He really made so many selfish
decisions at the beginning, but he had a great character arc throughout the
seasons, coming into his own and becoming a hero toward the end. He's one of
those bad boys, although made to be a better man through the love of Juliet, will
always have a bit of a edge to him. Love the conversation! Thanks y'all!

These books so great and I plan on reading them all. I have no preference for good or bad guys I just enjoy reading the books. Thanks for the great giveaway!

Bonnie Capuano 9:57am August 1, 2013)

love the bad boy idea, but the good boys win my heart
(
Nancy Krueger 9:57am August 1, 2013)

Cindi, Congrats on the upcoming wedding for your son and raising good guys!
The world needs more of those! I'm a bit like you too in that I use to choose bad
boys but married a good guy. Makes a world of difference, doesn't it? So often
fiction is better as fiction and not real life. ;)

Bonnie, thanks! And I understand. It's all about the story, isn't it? ;)

Nancy, well said!
(
Leanna Ellis 10:39am August 1, 2013)

Congratulations and best wishes. Your books look and sound
memorable and very special. I enjoy reading and meeting good
boys since I raised good boys.
(
Sharon Berger 10:42am August 1, 2013)

I haven't read these yet but they sound interesting.
(
Sandy Giden 10:57am August 1, 2013)

I look forward to these books as they are sweet and innocent.
(
Maria Pucko 11:05am August 1, 2013)

Sharon, Way to go on raising good boys! I'm working on raising one. I think he
just came good. Such a blessing and privilege! Sandy, hope you enjoy! Maria,
they are not hot and steamy but they're not exactly sweet and innocent either.
Definitely not the typical bonnet book. ;)
(
Leanna Ellis 11:32am August 1, 2013)

I like the bad boys as long as they treat the woman right at the end. Would love to read your books ! Thank you for the chance !!
(
Susan King 11:54am August 1, 2013)

Good guys of course ,i love a hero .
(
Raeline Peterson 1:12pm August 1, 2013)

Amy Campbell 2:21pm August 1, 2013)

ooh would LOVE to win and READ -- PICK ME!!
I adore the Kate Burkhalter Amish Murder series
(
Pamela Faye Howell 4:52pm August 1, 2013)

Hi, Susan! Thanks so much. Agree. The hero, good or bad, must treat a woman
right! Ah, Raeline, me too! Thanks, Amy! Hope you like the ending! Pamela, Oh I
love Linda Castillo's series! She's a wonderful writer and a fabulous person!
(
Leanna Ellis 5:48pm August 1, 2013)

I am drawn to reading about guys who have a little of both -
bad boy on the outside, good boy on the inside. I love the
rough, alpha look and attitude, but soft inside. Of course,
there is always a place for the alpha inside too! =)
(
Shelbie Knight 6:19pm August 1, 2013)

Bad boys are the bane of teenage boys existence, because
that's what all young girls want - a little danger and
darkness. But, for most of us, as we get older, we realize
that a guy with strong morals, who respects you, and has
good dad skills is really hot. So, sure in fantasy a bad
boy is great, but in real life-- give me a hunky nerd :*)
(
LaRonda Atchison 7:22pm August 1, 2013)

This is a great review. I would love the chance to win this series. I usually decide if I want to read a book by the cover and review. Thanks for the great giveaway.
(
Jeanne Agee 7:40pm August 1, 2013)

Shelbie, That reminds me of the Bruce Willis character in RED when Helen Mirren
says, "Oh Francis, you're such a romantic. On the outside you're hard but on the
inside your gooey." L Lam, so like a woman who knows what she likes! :)
LaRonda, so agree. There is something wonderful about a man who has solid
morals. One reason, I so love Levi in Plain Fear: Forsaken. Jeanne, thanks so
much!
(
Leanna Ellis 7:53pm August 1, 2013)

I like to read about both as long as the bad guy is really caring underneath.
(
Maureen Emmons 8:23pm August 1, 2013)

We all want a bad boy at least once in our lives, but the more
we mature and settle down, we look for a good guy. We just
never forget the memories and exciting fun we had with the bad
boy! Can't wait to read your books.
(
C Culp 9:16pm August 1, 2013)

I like reading about both good and bad guys. Good buys appeal
to my sense of moral values while the bad guys make the story
interesting with their lack of rules and don't care attitude.
(
Angelina Daniels-Shaw 10:09pm August 1, 2013)

I like good guys best, but I like it when bad boys make a turn around in their life to be good guys. Your set of Plain Fear books look and sound so good and exciting. I would love to win and read them, that I can hardly wait. Thank you so much for this chance to win. All the best to you.
(
Esther Somorai 10:50pm August 1, 2013)

Wow, Congrats on your 3 books: PLAIN FEAR FORSAKEN, PLAIN
FEAR FORBIDDEN and PLAIN FEAR FORGIVEN. Wow, they all 3
sound like fantastic books to win and read. I really enjoy
reading about good guys and bad boys both because we all
have some good and bad in us. Life is full of trials and
temptations and I enjoy reading about the Amish too. Thank
You very much. Cecilia CECE
(
Cecilia Dunbar Hernandez 11:25pm August 1, 2013)

I like the guys who are tough on the outside, but are really good
underneath. Your books sound wonderful! Congratulations and thanks for
the giveaway!!!
(
Linda Brennan 12:06pm August 2, 2013)

I read about both good and bad boys. After all, variety is the spice of life (and books>)
(
Gladys Paradowski 12:17pm August 2, 2013)

I love reading both good and bad boys. I need a balance from time to time. As they said, you cannot have the yin without the yang. Thanks for the giveaway. The book does sound interesting to read.
(
Kai Wong 1:05am August 2, 2013)

I like reading about both, bad and good.
(
Rita Wray 9:43am August 2, 2013)

Some days I like the good days, some days the bad. But the bad guys usually have a lot of good guy hiding in them.
(
Sue Farrell 10:17am August 2, 2013)

I like both! But in general bad guys are more interesting... although I only like them if they are good too!
(
May Pau 10:24am August 2, 2013)

I love a bad boy, but love him even more when he's been redeemed, although with a few rough edges. However, at the end of the day, the good boy is a winner. Thanks for the contest: this series sounds stellar!
(
Kim Giardina 4:06pm August 2, 2013)

I like both, but bad boys have the edge in any story. It's always interesting to see how they can sometimes change their lives around when they meet just the right gal. This series sounds great, and I'm loving the book covers!
(
Linda Luinstra 5:53pm August 2, 2013)

either but I love a bad boy who turns out to have a heart of
gold
(
Gina Keitz 9:06pm August 2, 2013)

I like reading about both good and bad guys, but the bad boys
reformed interest me most. And if they have some redeeming
quality, it's even better.
(
Alyson Widen 1:44pm August 3, 2013)

Bad boys are the most interesting to read about and how and why they got to be that way to give themselves that bad reputation. These three books sound great, and a little paranormal makes this Amish series quite unique!
(
Rich Cook 4:39pm August 3, 2013)

Good for me, I don't have the energy to keep up with a bad
boy.
(
Theresa Norris 3:47pm August 4, 2013)

I like both a reformed bad boy or a hero.
(
Carol Woodruff 6:22pm August 5, 2013)
