Re: American Duchess (9:05pm April 18, 2019):

Just read The Last Castle about Biltmore and the Vanderbilts, so this will be one I need to read. I have always enjoyed your books and look forward to reading this one.

Re: Pure Chocolate (9:00pm April 18, 2019):

Very interesting premise.

Re: It's Getting Scot in Here (3:28am February 28, 2019):

I always love your books and keep them to reread. This one sounds yummy.

Re: Let Me Love You (3:22am February 28, 2019):

This sounds like a series I will love.

Re: More Than a Phoenix (9:59pm September 30, 2018):

I read many genres, but romance is always on my list. It has gotten me through dark places and brightened good places.

Re: Mistletoe in Texas (9:56pm September 30, 2018):

This looks like an interesting story.

Re: A Billionaire Wolf for Christmas (9:52pm September 30, 2018):

Although I have been lucky, my son has been in peril many times in the military and then as a police detective.

Re: Flight of the White Wolf (3:37am March 31, 2018):

I'm not afraid. I ussed to love to fly, but now I hate the hassle and don't , instead I travel in my RV whenever possible.

Re: Last Chance Cowboys: The Rancher (3:28am March 31, 2018):

Cowboys, to me, are strong independent men who value women, honesty and the law. I find that very sexy.

Re: Believe in My Heart (10:01pm November 29, 2017):

a weekend of gathering friends and family to bake about 24 kinds of cookies to be given out on Christmas Eve to neighbors, friends and family.

Re: Undercover Attraction (9:56pm November 29, 2017):

Suzan Tisdale's MacIntosh-McLarens, Sue-Ellen Wellfonder's MacKenzies, Hannah Howell's Murrays, Linda Lael Miller's McKettricks, Carla Negger's Swift River series

Re: Ready for Wild (6:55pm October 28, 2017):

We have visited Texas often to visit grandchildren. Texans do indeed make a big thing about BBQ. The story has my attention already.

Re: The Amish Christmas Candle (7:25pm September 29, 2017):

I caught mine with a white cake with peanut butter & cinnamon frosting. Once in a while I switch to chocolate cake with the same frosting for him.

Re: Wrong Side of the Paw (5:37pm August 30, 2017):

Teens standing in the back as the truck sped down the highway.

Re: Muffin to Fear (5:34pm August 30, 2017):

I have my grandmother's recipe for a muffin that can be made with any fruit, nut or even savory like ham and cheese that is not a sweet base, but lets the addition stand on it's own. I love the ham, cheese and scallion one and serve it with a lemon one for brunch.

Re: An Anchor on Her Heart (5:29pm August 30, 2017):

What a gift your story will be to those dealing with autism. My daughter teaches "special needs" children and loves the rewards of seeing them progress into new adventures of learning and coping. Stories like your bring hope for a better future.

Re: When Water Was Everywhere (7:55pm February 24, 2017):

I'd love to read this and add to my knowledge of California history. I know a bit about later history when the Bixby family formed a large ranch there, but not a lot before then.

Re: Real Earls Break the Rules (2:10am November 29, 2016):

I love variety, but my favorites are strong, sassy, feisty, educated women.

Re: Crazy for Her (10:03pm October 25, 2016):

My favorite pet was a Siberian named Misha that my mother acquired from an owner that was afraid of her. From the moment my mom saw her, they had a mutual love. Misha was a pedigreed sled dog, who was very gentle and protective. Once a salesman came to the door and when mom said no, he attempted to enter the house. Misha came around the corner with her hackles raised. He took one look, stammered wolf and took off running leaving his sample kit on the doorstep. He never came back. This was a dog that allowed the little ones to ride her or sleep with their heads on her, but that day her snarls made us all grateful that she was there to protect us.

Re: Torrents of Destruction (9:49pm October 25, 2016):

To me. spunky is self-reliant, lively, optimistic and not above pulling a practical joke.

Re: In The Line Of Fire (4:54am July 24, 2016):

I have a love of the redwood country. We occasionally get away in our RV for a quiet week among the tree.

Re: Heart of Steel (4:49am July 24, 2016):

Booth & Bones
YOur book looks and sounds interesting.

Re: Fire Danger (4:45am July 24, 2016):

Leprechauns, brownies and selkies are rarely. I will confess to a love of elves and faeries and Kenyon's Carpathians.

Re: Racing To You (4:27am July 24, 2016):

Cheesecake, chocolate, filet mignon, gingerbread andfresh warm bread with butter.

Re: Torn (4:20am July 24, 2016):

I would add Yasmine Galenorn's Otherworld series, which build with each added book.

Re: The California Gold Rush Romance Collection (4:09am July 24, 2016):

I have always loved Marguerite Henry's stories. From Brighty of the Grand Canyon to Misty of Chincoteague to her many others. They touch you in a way you never forget and you find yourself sharing them with your children and buying them for your grandchildren to share. They never lose their impact.

Re: Triple Score (3:57am July 24, 2016):

One of my favorite authors of great dialog is Sandra Hill. Her characters make me laugh, cry and, above all, keep reading. She can touch your heart strings one minute and have you laughing out loud the next. To me, that's what makes the story.

Re: Almost Like Being in Love (3:36am June 29, 2016):

For me, the most romantic moments are anywhere we are that my husband of 36 years reaches out and takes my hand. It can be Sequoia NP, the beach or the supermarket parking lot. The reaching out after so many years touches me each time.

Re: Miss Darcy's New Companion (3:30am June 29, 2016):

I'm also a Jane Austin fan and am always looking for similar stories. Since I have always read your books, I am looking forward to reading the novellas.

Re: Soul's Prisoner (3:25am June 29, 2016):

I love reading Carla Neggers, Nora Roberts, Mary Higgins Clark, Iris Johansen, Heather Graham and so many others. My nose is in a book almost every day. I'm always looking for new authors to read.

Re: Into the Whirlwind (3:03am May 27, 2016):

This one sounds especially good. I have been enjoying your book for years.

Re: Into the Whirlwind (2:36am May 27, 2016):

Over the years, I have read so many of your books. I would love to add these to my collection.

Re: Sexiest Couple Alive (2:25am May 27, 2016):

Sam Elliot, Sean Connery, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson and George Clooney.

Re: Tommaso (1:56am May 27, 2016):

He certainly has his work cut out for him, but who can resist a truly contrite, smoking hot man. I can't wait to read this one.

Re: Bride of a Distant Isle (3:40pm March 29, 2016):

I also grew up with Stewart, Du Maurier and Holt. They kept my interest with Suspense, dark locales and mysterious, tormented and/or brooding heroes. Even now a good Gothic holds allure.

Re: To the Stars (4:41am February 26, 2016):

Thank you for shining a light on a very difficult subject and helping others to see that the answers are not always easy.

Re: Chicken Soup & Homicide (4:35am February 26, 2016):

Rattlesnake. It was given to me as chicken in hopes that when I had a mouthful and was told what it was I would react badly. Unfortunately, I grew up with brothers who loved to do that kind of thing and just calmly kept eating. It actually had a pleasant flavor - thankfully - so I finished my portion without trouble.

Re: True Blue Seals: Zak (4:29am February 26, 2016):

As the mother a 23 year veteran, now a police detective, I know he tries to vacation with his family and enjoys the time, but is always on alert to his surrounding, watching for trouble.

Re: Highland Spitfire (4:24am February 26, 2016):

In Keira Montclair's Torrian, the importance of clan and automatic loyalty to their own regardless of personal doubts and loyalty to the laird above all, even when it is against their own best interest.

Re: Temper (3:52am February 26, 2016):

Retiring to my bedroom chaise or my patio rocker with a book and tea while soft music plays gives me the time to regain my equilibrium. My family knows that unless the house is on fire or someone is bleeding, it is best to let me be.

Re: An Amish Market (3:42am February 26, 2016):

To me, true love is the husband who still takes your hand in public after 36 years of marriage, holds you when your world falls apart, finds joy with you spending time on the road with grandchildren driving for days to show them the wonder of our country with infinite patience at the moments that always arise at some point of the trip. Best of all, he's there to snuggle or and/read when we retire each night.

Re: Hannah's Choice (9:53pm January 27, 2016):

We have some family roots in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties and love to take our grandchildren when we go to visit the area in search of family record answers to understand their past.
I think the Civil War caused many problems for the Amish conscience that we never have to deal with in everyday life. The war spilled into Pennsylvania and must have caused much heartbreak in families.

Re: Enchantment of a Highlander (9:39pm January 27, 2016):

I always am working at making sure my grandchildren read - although it's not as hard as it used to be now that many of them are older and happily read. It's only the little ones that need to be read to until they learn to love reading on their own. I do have a 21 year old grandson who still loves reading with grandma and we have a good day together when he has time, reading books that interest both of us.

Re: Crazy Little Thing Called Love (4:11am November 29, 2015):

We have a get together with family and any friends who wish to come with them. Everyone chooses what kind or kinds of cookies they wish to make, but we always include my grandmother's gingerbread and spritz cookies and my other grandmother's "shrimp tails" which are a butter cookie with pecan bits, shaped like a shrimp and rolled in confectioners sugar. We end up with about 24 kinds of cookies to be shared and a day of music and laughter to remember. Sometimes, some of us do it again the next day to finish ones that needed to chill before finishing. It's always a highlight of the season for us, watching the faces of 3 generations working and laughing together.

Re: The Thorn Bearer (3:59am November 29, 2015):

I acquired a lovely Norwegian teapot, bowl and two cups that had belonged to my neighbor's family along with stories of Christmas in Norway 65 years ago. It was so interesting to hear of the spruce with white candles glowing on the branches as everyone sat together with hot drinks and cookies.

Re: Four-Patch of Trouble (1:41pm June 30, 2015):

The acceptable mode of dress.

Re: Murder Under the Desert Moon (1:37pm June 30, 2015):

Anywhere would be great to read, but California's Avenue of the Giants would be intriguing.

Re: Mint Cookie Murder (1:33pm June 30, 2015):

Sounds scrumptious. Everything I love in one book.

Re: The Tide Watchers (1:30pm June 30, 2015):

TRUE LIFE IS INDEED STRANGER THAN FICTION. HOW OFTEN DO WE SEE NEWS THAT SUSPENDS BELIEF? HOW MANY TIMES DOES SOMETHING HAPPEN TO US THAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE?
I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THIS BOOK.

Re: The Choosing (3:15am May 28, 2015):

Taught to me - When in doubt, keep your mouth shut. It usually works.

Re: A Family for the Bull Rider (3:01am May 28, 2015):

No favorite. I just love watching them all.

Re: Passionately Yours (2:57am May 28, 2015):

I have the last one on my bookshelf to be read. I never can seem to catch up with myself, but I will get there as I love your books.

Re: Against the Tide (2:52am May 28, 2015):

We travel by RV all around the country whenever time and budget allow, taking first our children and now our grandchildren to show them the wonders this country has to offer. We still want to see Alaska, Maine and New Hampshire.

Re: At the Spy's Pleasure (2:48am May 28, 2015):

I believe in second chances - especially in romance. I've been married to mine for 35 years. Books about them seem to have more depth of character.

Re: Vessel (2:44am May 28, 2015):

I don't have a particular theme. I read many genres and am drawn in by the blurb and first page of the story. I read according to my mood each morning.

Re: The Mystery Writers of America Cookbook (2:33am March 31, 2015):

I'm afraid ALL desserts disappear almost instantly unless I stand guard. Only birthday cakes survive until dinner.

Re: SWAT Secret Admirer (2:29am March 31, 2015):

Never let the bad guy win is an excellent reason to continue with your life. Making yourself stronger in every way is a good thing to do and a sure way to survive.

Re: Forever in My Heart (2:36am February 27, 2015):

great list. Now I must read it.

Re: Beyond Limits (8:35pm January 29, 2015):

My heart fate is already uo. This is a must buy.

Re: Betting on Julia (2:49am August 30, 2014):

He's smart, funny, loyal and protective ( but not over protective) and able to deal with an equally smart woman.

Re: Muffin But Murder (3:43am June 30, 2014):

I love humor in any genre and quirky people are the BEST. It adds to the story to have people you can identify with from book to book and quirks are a definite plus.

Re: Searching for Perfect (8:00pm April 30, 2014):

Books that are tied by character are a definite plus. I love having a frame of reference from the past and finding out how the people fared.

Re: A Beautiful Distraction (7:57pm April 30, 2014):

Mmm. I do love a bad boy with a good heart.

Re: Out of Control (7:42pm April 30, 2014):

If I'm enthralled by the story, the setting is just icing, otherwise the setting helps to keep me interested.

Re: Must Love Dukes (3:17am February 27, 2014):

I was in the store and saw the mother of the child who was causing problems in the neighborhood. She was a sweet, but ill, woman who believed her son was sweet and wonderful. How hard it was to avoid letting her know the truth and risking her having an attack. I tried to avoid letting her see me, but, of course, she did and went on and on about her child. I managed not to let her know how horrid he was, when all I wanted to do was tell her he belonged in Juvenile Hall.

Re: Love in the Library (3:47am January 30, 2014):

A strong, but tender man, who respects my need for independent time and space, but supports me when I need it. A kilted Scot with these qualities would be perfect.

Re: Black Widow Demon (2:21am November 29, 2013):

Grim. Also Charmed, Once Upon a Time, Vikings, Game of Thrones, and, I confess, Criminal Minds. Romances in all of the British Isles before 1750 and vampire, werewolves and other shifters or fae are my favorites.

Re: Three Timeless Loves (2:10am November 29, 2013):

I'm greedy. All of the British Isles pre-1700. That is IF I could come home again to my family.

Re: A Change of Heart (11:49pm November 28, 2013):

My bedroom as a bookshelf of unread books at all times. I read about a book a day, unless my grandchildren are visiting. Hurrah for writers.

Re: A Perfect Distraction (11:46pm November 28, 2013):

When I got engaged, my husband offered to buy me an engagement ring. Instead I chose a beautiful prism, the first of many. We have been married for 33 years and my home has over 250 prisms of all sizes. It is filled with rainbows and love, enjoyment for all. I like gemstones, but crystal prisms are better.

Re: Hunter's Moon (3:29am October 29, 2013):

Must I choose? Howell's McNaughtons, Sands' Argeneaus, Kenyon's Carpathians, Chapman's Druids and Gods, MacAlister's, Feehan's and Galenorn's EVERYTHING, Cole's Immortals, Dare's Westfields, Dodd's Darkness & Chosen Ones, Showalter's Atlantis, Aiken's dragons, Handiland's Moon, Ward's Black Dagger, Warren's Others, Knight's Master series,Leigh's Breeds and for the sheer fun, Hill's Deadly Angels. I could go on for a VERY long time. I adore paranormal, be it vampire, shifter, fey, witches or any other thing that can be thought up.

Re: Baden-Powell's Beads: London (7:49pm July 30, 2013):

Thank you for taking time to advise. I wrote a children's story years ago in high school and my teacher found an interested publisher. I wrote it for my sister and she asked that I not share it. Now I regret that I did not, but am hesitant to try again. It has been many years, but your comments have helped.

Re: Wish You Were Here (2:42am June 28, 2013):

Summertime meant climbing the apple tree with my book, so I could read for hours without my brothers bothering me. I made so many trips to the library that they gave me adult privileges. I could take out 10 books instead of three. I think they got tired of seeing me every other day. It was so wonderful to be able to read uninterrupted for hours. I still do that, but now there are no little ones at home except in the summer, when my grandchildren visit. Now I read to them.

Re: Smoking Hot (3:01am June 27, 2013):

I have an ice pack ready. It sounds like a great book.

Re: Long Simmering Spring (4:57pm May 29, 2013):

As a teen, I ran from someone who cared for me out of fear of being hurt, as I watched my parents separate after many years.
He went on to make a happy life, but I've always regreted hurting him.

Re: The Seven-Day Target (2:47am April 29, 2013):

Romantic suspense leads to hard core mysteries by Sandra Brown, Iris Johansen, Carla Neggers,, Nora Roberts(J. D. Robb), etc. They all started out in romance, then romantic suspense, now , although there is still romance, the mystery is stronger. WATCH OUT!

Re: Revenge On Route 66 (2:58am March 29, 2013):

I was very surprised that Kermit the Frog was born on my daughter's birthday. If ever there was anyone less like Kermit, I have not met him or her.

Re: Murder for the Halibut (9:39pm January 27, 2013):

We all have insecurities. I think they make us try harder in those areas to overcome what we think is not good enough. When we do that, the end product is far better than it would otherwise be. (At least that's what my family says about things that I do that I'm insecure about.)

Re: Live And Let Love (8:15pm December 28, 2012):

It sounds like a book that I would love to read, when my husband is snuggled beside me reading his new Ludlum or Clancy Christmas gifts.

Re: Christmas Confidential (3:26pm November 28, 2012):

WE all get together in my kitchen - family, friends, neighbors and anyone that they bring with them - to bake cookies. We bake about 2 dozen different kinds. Some are taken home, some are distributed to my neighbors as a Christmas gift and the rest remain for family to share. It is a day of Christmas carols, general hilarity and wonderful memories, especially the wonder on the faces of little ones making their first batch by themselves and their pride when they succeed.

Re: Midnight Exposure (4:15am October 29, 2012):

Eve Dallas, who has not only survived, but has triumphed and Elizabeth I of England, who managed to survive and outlive her enemies, but successfully bring a long, prosperous and peaceful rule to her country.

Re: Secrets Of A Wedding Night (2:25am September 28, 2012):

I know very little about faro, but I do love a smart man.
there's something very sexy about a man who can think quickly and be able to carry on a conversation on many subjects.

Re: Goddess in the Middle (5:21pm July 28, 2012):

Mmmm, werewolves and power. How can anyone resist.? I know I can't.

Re: Wicked At Heart (5:18pm July 28, 2012):

I still have the original Avon copy. It was a keeper.

Re: Wicked Nights (3:24pm June 29, 2012):

Mr. Darcy, Heathcliff, Dickon (Frances H. Burnett - I never got past my childhood crush), Roarke (J.D.Robb), Duncan MacKenzie(Sue-Ellen Wellfonder), Eirik of Ravenshire (Sandra Hill), Kyrrin en Arr (yours, of course, Zarek (Sherrilynn Kenyon), Alex Montgomery (Catherine Anderson), and any of Katie MacAlister's dragons. That's just a start. I'm a hopeless addict to romance heroes and plan to NEVER attempt to break the addiction.

Re: Blackmailed by the Italian Billionaire (3:13am April 22, 2012):

I think we'll see more strong, self-sufficient women in jobs that are traditionally male.

Re: In Search of Lucy (10:30pm March 31, 2012):

I have the best of both. My husband bought a motorhome and I can travel and read. By day we see and do and at night in the campground we read.

Re: Lover's Leap (8:42pm December 29, 2011):

I must admit that I loved and still have the Geralyn Dawson books, especially the wedding series. I have been hooked on your books for years.

Re: The Earl's Mistaken Bride (5:08pm November 30, 2011):

Lately my life has had lemons, but then, unexpectedly, lemonade. Loss seems unending, but then, suddenly, a small bright spot appears and we go on, remembering the lovely moments more and more, and enjoying the new bright moments. Books help. They let you put everything aside for a few hours and just enjoy the charactors.

Re: His Last Duchess (9:45pm October 28, 2011):

I hate schedules. My idea of a vacation is to get in the motorhome and head in a general direction remembering that we must be sure we head home in time for my husband to get back to work. In between those times we wander and if we see a sign we follow it. Life is so much more interesting when lived as your heart and mind take you.

Re: Romancing The Countess (9:38pm October 28, 2011):

My reading has inspired me to READ MORE! Oh, well, housework will keep until the book is finished. Only grandchildren can safely interrupt - everyone else knows better!

Re: The Norse King's Daughter (2:25am September 30, 2011):

I keep a bookshelf in my bedroom with unread books of assorted genres. If I get in a slump, I browse and if nothing there catches my eye, I go to my husband's pile (he reads only adventure and science fiction) for a complete change of pace. One of his and I'm happily back to mine.

Re: Night Veil (10:25pm June 30, 2011):

I must confess - neither. I am more of a Thor girl. Superman is too good and Batman just doesn't quite do it for me. Give me lusty Vikings every time.

Re: The Gin & Chowder Club (9:31pm May 31, 2011):

I love the happily ever after, but the sad endings are the one that stay in your mind and you re-read.

Re: Total Abandon (10:08pm April 30, 2011):

I love print and hate it that local bookstores are disappearing. All too often it is hard to find new books unless I go on line. I miss going into a bookstore and finding new authors to add to those I already love just by reading the first pages.

Re: Play Me (10:19pm March 29, 2011):

I like soft, sexy love scenes that move the character or plot along and are not filled with profanity.

Re: Haunting Jasmine (2:53am January 30, 2011):

I wish I owned that bookstore - but I'll settle for buying the book - for now.

Re: Outrageously Yours (11:02pm November 30, 2010):

Simon sounds like my kind of nerd. My family is full of nerds, so always enjoy a good nerd story and will be snatching this one off the shelf.

Re: Second Chances (10:58pm November 30, 2010):

I believe in second chances. My husband of 30 years and I found one in each other. So many great authors have written them like Sandra Hill, Stephanie Laurens, Christine Feehan and Kat Martin.

Re: Catching Moondrops (8:35pm October 29, 2010):

Fireflies in December

Re: Monster in Miniature (5:50pm July 30, 2010):

As a former bookstore worker and manager, I completely understand your reasoning. I sometimes got frustrated by the categories and "accidentally" filed extra copies in literature or "general fiction" to interest new people, who then would search out the authors they had found. I have trouble understanding how people can limit themselves to reading only one category.

Re: Rapture Untamed (12:39pm June 30, 2010):

Series add to my pleasure, as I can re-visit old friends and make new ones at the same time. That said, some stand alone cannot ever be forgotten, even when you are "too old" for them like The Secret Garden. I still read it to my grandchildren and hope to read it to the next generation.

Re: Blown Away (2:50am May 30, 2010):

I have a special shelf that I put the books on as they come out to remind me that I'm waiting for the other two. I call it my anticipation shelf. I can look and see what I have coming. It's more fun to read them together and not forget any nuances between books.

Re: My Own Personal Soap Opera (9:40pm April 7, 2010):

As someone who grew up believing that the people on soaps were real ( my mom watched all the first CBS soaps, this book sounds perfect for me.

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (4:19am March 30, 2010):

My grandmother (Mimi, also) couldn't go fifteen minutes after your arrival without feeding you - even if you were not hungry. She always had time for games and walks to get hot dogs and ice cream, even though we lived at the top of a steep hill and the shop was at the bottom. Her laugh was full-boddied and frequent.

Re: An Earl to Enchant (4:03am March 30, 2010):

"God bless us, every one" - A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens. It never gets old and brings a tear to my eye each time we read it at Christmas.

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (1:10am February 28, 2010):

I keep a few anthologies in the guest bathroom and have lost guests for quite a while if the stories are really great.

Re: Seeing Red (12:58pm February 28, 2010):

Maggie Shayne's Bloodline was a great addition to her Wings series. I managed to re-read the whole series.

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (9:26pm December 5, 2009):

Your handmade ornaments are a treasure for all generations. We have some made by various family members (some by little ones and some by experienced crafters) and those are the ones that mean the most, as we remember past Christmas moments with family.

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (3:43am November 29, 2009):

Bing Crosby's voice and Danny Kaye's antics, can it get better? White Christmas is a holiday must see for us, along with Miracle on 34th St (the original). And then there's the Wizard of Oz. At 82 my mom still watches it with family for the holiday.

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (8:33pm October 30, 2009):

Doesn't everyone use the pot lid sometimes. My mom, daughter and I do to save time and washing up. There's a lovely biography of Audrey Hepburn by Barry Paris.

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (7:56pm August 29, 2009):

My great-grandmother lived with us when I was a child and taught me to love books. She was bedridden, but never let it stop her from reading to us. She was a person who had always been busy and going somewhere, but did not let the loss of mobility keep her from enjoying what she did have, much like your Mimi.

Re: The Texas Twins (4:02pm June 30, 2009):

My dining room table is frequently unavailable becaues the current puzzle is covering it. Luckily my husband is patient with me.
