I live 20 minutes from Aiken. Your book sounds like something so many people do, go back home. My favorite cookie for the holidays is sugar cookies with lots of icing.

We're very typical. Put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving and take it down January 2. The holidays for us is all about family.

I discovered a love of historical fiction with a bit of mystery from reading Jane Eyre and the Scarlett Pimpernel and William Faulkner's As I Lay Dieing is one of my all time favorite reads.

I always finish the book and I do rate them. Like you most of the books I read get a 4 or 5 star rating, only a few got less and I did that after careful thought. I really hate giving anyone less, but some books just don't cut it.

Setting does a lot to draw my interest, regency England, highlands of Scotland, snow in New England but the dialogue and story are what will keep me reading to the end.
