Re: Chasing a Dream (1:18pm September 12, 2012):

Happy re-release! I like when books are re-issued because it gives me a chance to read them.

I am learning how to cook and it's one of those things where the more you do, the better you are at it :)

Re: One Wrong Move (1:17pm September 12, 2012):

I would love to read your book, Shannon!

Re: Immortally Yours (2:51am August 29, 2012):

The Sit, Sit, SIT! Tips for Training Your HellHound is one of my favorite!

Re: Home For The Summer (2:54pm June 6, 2012):

I do remember by childhood summers fondly. Our family always had picnics and sometimes if were lucky babrbecues. We liked to visit the parks and lounge there for most of the day and that was when we weren't hiking or exploring the local lakes. Outdoors were so much fun in the summers.

Re: Mariana (1:44pm April 12, 2012):

I like when books are re-released. Sometimes I discover an author I really like and when I go to read their backlist I find they are no longer available so it's great when they are re-released. I would prefer the originals to remain the same, though with only technical errors (spelling, grammar, formatting) done.

Re: The Wolf Who Loved Me (1:42pm April 12, 2012):

No. I'm pretty good with keeping secrets even my own. I'm careful about whose secrets to keep and which ones to stay away from.

Re: One Hot Cowboy Wedding (3:47pm April 8, 2012):

A cowboy can understand his cowgirl like no other. He knows where she's coming from and can be there for where she's going. Happy Sunday!

Re: Woodrose Mountain (4:47pm April 4, 2012):

Hi RaeAnne, I just picked up A Cold Creek Reunion yesterday and I am looking forward to it. It will be my first book by you :)

Woodrose Mountain sounds like a great, heartwarming read. I like that the hero is focused on helping his daughter.

Re: Texas Baby Sanctuary (8:57pm March 27, 2012):

I've never been to Texas but I have enjoyed many books set in Texas. It's my way of visiting it :) Congratulations on your release.

Re: Cassie's Grand Plan (2:36pm March 20, 2012):

I love the quiet residental neighbourhoods and nearby parks. Also nearby is the local library which has a great selection of books and is my favorite place to visit. Everywhere I look I can see mountains so it's really gorgeous.

Re: Dire Needs (11:49am March 7, 2012):

Happy Release to you!

Re: Sweet Enemy (11:49am March 7, 2012):

I always anticipate the first moment the meet or if it's a reunion, the first time they meet again. I want to see what they are each feeling and thoughts. Such a moment to anticipate!

Re: Fever (11:46am March 7, 2012):

I love this! The, "it's fine" and "it's a guy thing" is pretty common but I never could get them. Also if you hear "I'll get to it" from a guy that means don't hold your breath as it won't be happening in this lifetime ;)

Re: A Sliver Of Shadow (6:35pm February 29, 2012):

When it comes to love I think anything is possible. I do think instant attraction is more likely to happen than instant love. I think love takes time, trust, maybe some tests to develop. If not, I think love needs these things to be sustained. Falling in love is a wonderful thing and it's even better when you can stay in love over time.

Re: Donovan's Bed (3:12pm February 27, 2012):

I love that old releases are being re-issued. It gives me a chance to discover books I never would have otherwise, or at least been able to get. This sounds like a great Western historical story with its lively characters. Thank you for the chance to read it.

Re: The Rogue Pirate's Bride (7:09pm February 24, 2012):

Hi Shana, I read romance for the couple's story. I want to experience their journey to HEA with all its ups and downs. I want to feel every emotions they feel, root for them and see them develop. Of course the HEA is an added bonus :)

Re: Falling For The Fireman (4:54pm January 25, 2012):

I consider them everyday heroes and it's easy to imagine a fireman saving your life :)

Re: Fever (4:53pm January 25, 2012):

I'm big on goal-setting and I think big or small it's a great way to set a map of where you want to go. Even if I don't accomplish what matters is that I try and keep on trying.

Re: Banshee Charmer (1:52am January 23, 2012):

I like a hero who is strong, loyal and loving. A wicked sense of humor is also a must :) Laughter is good for the soul!

Re: Dreamers (5:37pm January 21, 2012):

I also believe in the saying that in order to go somewhere you need to know where you are coming from. I don't dwell on the bad things or mistakes but I'd liek to think I do learn from it.

Re: Sex, Lies and Surveillance (1:13pm January 19, 2012):

Spy stories are a lot of fun and James Bond is definitely up there. There have been other spy stories but I can't recall their names, all I know is a sense of humor and some smarts can make the characters more appealing.

Re: The More the Terrier (1:14pm December 31, 2011):

It's a little hard to believe as the year went by so quick but I am ready for 2012. No major plans but I plan on making each day a good one :) Wishing you a wonderful 2012.

Re: The King's Mistress (1:31pm December 17, 2011):

Thank you for giving me deeper insight on the mistletoe. It has quite a rich history :)

Re: Shield of Fire (2:19am December 9, 2011):

I know so many boys and grown men who are gamers. So many an active video game. Some can help them get active or exercise their mind with brain games.

Re: Wild Thing (3:41pm December 5, 2011):

I think so and these are the relationships I like best. I think if each person can bring a lot to the table and teach their partner something. Although I think for important issues such as belief in love and trust, the couple should be on the same wavelength.

Re: Beyond The Darkness (2:15am December 4, 2011):

Life is an adventure and for me I like to embark on it with a positive attitude. It can really make a day that much better or just good in general. This series is new to me and I like the sound of it.

Re: Hunter Of Shadows (1:50am December 3, 2011):

I love when authors surprise me and take me for a ride. All of the Fever books by Karen Marie Moning had some pretty big cliffhangers and some twists within the story.

Re: Busted in Bollywood (1:42am December 3, 2011):

My favorite finger food is spring rolls :)

Re: Hot Zone (2:58pm December 1, 2011):

I also have what I need for Christmas, my family :) Happy release to your book, Catherine. Of course, I could use an ereader this Christmas. That tops the list.

Re: The Earl's Mistaken Bride (1:04pm November 30, 2011):

I love when characters find themsleves in sticky situation. Sometimes I laugh with them or cry for them. No matter it's always entertaining.

Re: The Spy Who Left Me (2:32am November 25, 2011):

I can't believe how quickly the holidays crept up on me. I'll be spending time with family, staying indoors and avoiding the mall crush. Of course, there'll be tons of good books around for extra company.

Re: White Dawn (7:21pm November 23, 2011):

I read from multiple genres and romance is one of my favorite. I recently read a historical romance set in the Wild West and I really enjoyed it. Your books reminds me of them and I want to read them.

Re: The Storm That Is Sterling (7:19pm November 23, 2011):

Zsadist from Lover Awakened and the BDB series by J.R. Ward.

Re: Fortune's Son (1:02pm November 18, 2011):

Thanks for giving me some insight on Philip. He sounds like he has something to prove or perhaps to set the record straight about his character and that is a great thing.

Re: The Highlander's Heart (1:20pm November 16, 2011):

I like when the hero is tortured by his internal demons and want the heroine to nurture him and give him a reason to fight those demons.

Re: Knight of Runes (12:00pm November 14, 2011):

Travel stories are a lot of fun and very romantic. I still haven't read the Outlander series but I will! Strong ladies in the past do impress me just because it wasn't easy being independent. I've been meaning to forever but have been saving it for a time I can really appreciate it. Congratulations on your release. A Knight of Runes sounds like a great read.

Re: Shadowlander (12:49pm November 11, 2011):

That's a tough one I have so many but recently the one who has really stood out is Alexander Barrington and Tatiana Metanova from The Bronze Horseman series. Another is Mac and Barrons from the Fever series. All these characters resonte with me and I really care about their story.

Re: The Last Rising (12:03pm November 9, 2011):

I definitely like heroines who are strong and yet have vulnerabilities and compassion as well. Eve Dallas was mentioned earlier and I agree. She's a gutsy strong lady fighting her own inner demons along with the outer.

Re: Tall, Dark And Cowboy (12:05pm November 7, 2011):

As an adult, no I haven't had to start over in a new place but there was a time my family moved cross-country when I was a child. If I had to start fresh today, I would keep an open mind about the place, research it and just be myself. Probably try to do the same things I like here. Look for a local library and check out the local parks.

Re: North of Need (12:49pm November 6, 2011):

Compassion, a sense of humor and a huge heart will do it for me :)

Re: Liver Let Die (1:35pm November 5, 2011):

Names don't grab me so much as their traits and personality. I just want them to suit. I'm more likely to notice a "bad" name though, whereas a "good" name I sort of take for granted and almost all of the books I've read the names didn't bother me.

Re: Engaged in Sin (1:26pm November 5, 2011):

I read The Club last year and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to your latest -got to love the tortured hero.

Re: Embrace The Highland Warrior (1:33pm November 2, 2011):

I do fear things that go bump in the night especially if they are hairy, move and otherwise make themselves known to me!

Re: Enchanted Destiny (12:40pm October 31, 2011):

Congratulations on your release. The premise is different and sounds great.

Re: A Maverick For Christmas (1:54pm October 30, 2011):

I love small town stories and even better when it centers around the holidays. Very cozy.
My family are my biggest supporters and motivators. They advice, encourage and believe in me.

Re: Romancing The Countess (4:36pm October 28, 2011):

Congratulations on the new baby and the new book releases! Now it's onto the joys of a baby's cuteness and the perils of their tears. It sounds like men in historical romances have it too easy. They need to be put in the role of father or at least babysitter a bit more ;)

Re: Haunting Embrace (1:21pm October 22, 2011):

I really like this post Erin. I found Aedan to be a complex hero from when I first came across him and can't wait for his story. I prefer the dark, tortured them because I like to see them reformed and became better man. It's makes their journey more worthwhile.

Re: Chosen By Fate (1:37pm October 9, 2011):

It's a real book! I like to consider myself a real reader who read multiple genres including romance. I like a mix of everything: adventure, danger, emotion, heartbreak...everyting! Everyone, each character has their own story to tell which means no story is the same and that's the best thing about books -meeting new people and learning new things.

Re: Tempted (3:47pm September 15, 2011):

I really like Mac Lane from the Fever series. She is no damsell in distress although she had a lot to be distressed about. I like watched her grow stronger and better as the series progessed.

Re: Out in Blue (3:00pm September 13, 2011):

I'm going to go with eyes. As humans they are already windows to our souls but for a paranormal creature they can go way beyond that. They can hypnotize, see deeper and empower them. Very cool!

Re: Wings of Fire (3:16am September 13, 2011):

I love the sound of the world-building in your books. If I created my own series, I'm not sure what I would do. Probably a paranormal because almost anything is possible and it's a fun way to get really creative.

Re: Deadly Descent (11:59pm September 6, 2011):

I've always enjoyed reading about strong men and military men are definitely up there. JoAnn Ross's High Risk series feature some incredible men.

Re: Bel Air (4:48pm September 6, 2011):

My favourite ice cream is taro. It's even better on a freshly baked bun, yes an ice cream bun!

Katherine, I'm so happy to see your books being re-issued, many of which are new to me and now I'll have chance to read them. I first discovered some of your books last year and The Cinderella Hour would have to be my favourite.

Re: The Wedding Affair (4:44pm September 6, 2011):

This is such an interesting post. When I read historical books, houses are one thing I definitely like to fantasize about. Everything from castles, to grand mansions, to quaint country cottages. I like to image myself there but more so it makes me want to visit a real life historical house. I would imagine it would be hard to keep up!

Re: Sweet Justice (12:24pm September 3, 2011):

I don't think I have...at least not so creepy that the villain was beyond redemption. However the last book I read with a scary villain was an unknown from Don't Breathe a Word by Jennifer McMahon. It was an eerie read with so many twisits and turns and in which the villain had no name or face. An unknown is scary to me.

Re: Claim Of Innocence (4:28pm August 29, 2011):

I fear any type of negative emails. They can be as impersonal as mass spam emails with viruses or personal attacks from disgruntled people.

Re: Deadly Obsession (3:35pm August 16, 2011):

I love that heroes come in all shape and sizes and the more books I read the more heroes I fall for. There is no one perfect hero for me, my favourite usually happens to be from the book I'm currently reading. I do favour the dark, tormented ones who have a lot to overcome but become better men because of their circumstances.

Congratulations on the release of Deadly Obsession and the birth of your first child. I think it's wonderful that your husband is your real life hero. It can't get better than that.

Re: The Landlord's Black-Eyed Daughter (4:53pm August 10, 2011):

I love HEA but it's the journey that really counts for me. The ending has to do justice to the journey.

Re: Pleating for Mercy (10:16pm August 5, 2011):

Reading is my luxury reading. It makes a great escape and introduces me to many great characters.

Re: The Lady Of The Storm (2:26am August 4, 2011):

Some of the best stories that I have read are those that are visually engaging. They are not necessarily littered with descriptions and details but use subtle trigger words that are enough for the reader. When I read a story it's a bit of reading and a tad of my own imagination. I like being able to "see" a story which makes the reading experience so enjoyable. You got me curious about a magical mountain now :)

Re: Too Hot To Touch (2:36pm August 3, 2011):

I think one of my earlier crush was the actor who played Todd Wilkins in the Swee Valley High tv show in the 1990s. I already liked him in the books so it was a naturally transition to crush on him on tv as well. That and the boy in my grade 3 class. Valentine's Day was also cute hoping to get a card...even though everyone received one from everyone lol.

Re: Notorious (1:55pm July 29, 2011):

I love all these independent women who are willing to break conventions for happiness in their time. Very gutsy! I would love to be a photo-journalist, travelling everywhere and taking pictures of news. I imagine it would be scandalous indeed if some of those pictures happen to protray murder scenes, secret meetings between political leaders and perhaps warfare.

Re: A Gentleman Never Tells (1:57am July 25, 2011):

*Sigh* I should have done an edit of this post before pressing the enter key. It makes me cringe seeing some of the errors especially considering the topic! See, that's my point everyone makes mistakes and I don't expect the author to be perfect. I do appreciate a fabulous story which will overshadow any bloopers. In fact if the bloopers make me laugh I'll appreciate it all the more.

Re: A Gentleman Never Tells (1:53am July 25, 2011):

I really enjoyed this post. I have come across bloopers (these are the funnest) and typos in my reading. Usually it's grammatical errors which I don't rally mind and often overlook. Too much and it can be idstracting but thankfully have never come across a book where that was the case. Rarely do I come across bloopers thoug hand they do make me laugh. Although, right now I can't really any specifics from book. I think that's a good thing, I come across bloopers/errors laugh in the moment and move on. It's not a big deal to me where the story as a whole is.

Re: Undead And Undermined (1:31am July 22, 2011):

MaryJanice your post made me smile :) I have to say I never got into the whole Twilight phenomenon or the Harry Potter for that matter. So if I happen to like your book it's because of its own merit. You are a new author to me and I think "Undead and Undermined" sounds like a fun read.

Re: Touch If You Dare (2:14am July 21, 2011):

Hi Stephanie!
Such wonderful reasons to fall in love with Jarvis, not that I needed any convinving. I'm about to swoon as is. My favourite reason is #2. There is only one woman for him. Got to love a man whose greatest weakness is his love, but ironically if he can embrace that love it can also be his strength.

I have so many heroes I've fallen in love with but I currently adore Barrons from Karen Marie Moning's Fever series and Zsadist from J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Zsadist's story really touched me, underneath his fearful facade, he's a sweetheart and truly needed saving.

Re: Night Walker (10:18pm July 19, 2011):

I think I love the idea of being immortal and able to live eternally, but in reality I would not want it. I would want to life a long and fulfilling life, surrounded by people I love and doing things I enjoy but I want closure, a time to move on. I will however live out my fascination with immortality in books.

Re: In The Heat Of The Bite (2:05pm July 19, 2011):

This series is new to me but I really enjoy vampire stories, will have to check these books out. I love stories with strong secondary characters and I always hope to see them have their own stories.

Re: When One Night Isn't Enough (1:57am July 14, 2011):

Hi Wendy!
I do have an internet addiction, it's my go to source for information on everything. I check emails, I read the news, I check the weather, I read blogs, I read the flyers, I check book reviews. Everything. You can call it information addictin. However, nothing (not even the internet) beats a good book that I lose myself in and lose hours of sleep. Congratulations on the upcoming release.

Re: The Crepe Makers' Bond (1:52am July 13, 2011):

Different situations trigger different traits from me. I have my strengths in reading, writing and memorizing. My weakness stems from public speaking and being put under scutiny and judged by my peers. I do question myself a lot and tend to be shy around strangers. When it comes to my group of friends I am very funny and outgoing. My outside layers may seem cold or standoofish, but once you get to know me and the layers peel off there's a warm, quirky friend inside :) The weaknesses I am aware of Ikeep in mind and try to improve in incremental steps.

Re: Magnificent Passage (12:24pm July 12, 2011):

I can't resist a gold old-fashioned bodice-ripper. They take me back to a very good place. Thank you for the giveaway.

Re: The Doctor Takes A Princess (5:33pm July 8, 2011):

There is something very angelic about a sleeping baby. The small sniffles they make during sleep, the slight hiccups, the clenching and unclenching of their itsy fingers, the need to throw the covers away. Then their eyes open a slit, they gather a moment, measure their audience, gulp in as much air as they can and let out those world-shaking cries. An angelic beast. I quickly snatch watchever is colour and happens to be their tou du jour and start waving it, if they prefer noise I'll rattle it. I'll also dance and sing with them and eventually there is calm before another storm :)

Re: Loved By A Warrior (3:45pm July 6, 2011):

Myths and curses are fascinating and I like seeing them in books. They make them all the more interesting. In some cultures it is believed that it is unlucky to take a picture with three people in it.

Re: Wild and Unruly (12:06pm July 4, 2011):

I love time-travel, it is a fantasy I can live out and experience in books and movies. For me it's not so much about changing history but to personally experience it. The changing times, the laws, the fashions and even food it would be quite differnt and I love books where this is vividly described to make it all the more "real".

Re: Break Out (12:03pm July 4, 2011):

Crossing genres is definitely a good thing. It is a refreshing change and likely to catch my attention. That is the very reason I vary my readings to keep genres fresh and crossing genres will do just that.

Re: Never Cry Wolf (12:49pm July 2, 2011):

Unfortunately, I am not dating a werewolf but I'll keep these signs in case one day I do *grins*

His idea of a romantic date is under a full moon, deep in the heart of a forest, no tent and the only food available are those he catches and captures himself. He claims he wants to be in touch with nature more that way.

Re: Night Veil (1:31am June 27, 2011):

I prefer Superman because of his nature. He protects, defends and is loyal.

Re: A Ghost of a Chance (2:35pm June 24, 2011):

I'm following and can't believe I miss this post!
I would say no, I'm not psychic, though I do believe in ghosts and psychics. I also believe there a lot of frauds out there. I believe in them even though I've never experienced anything otherworldly. When it comes to ghosts I'm not sure I ever want to meet one but I'll wholeheartedly believe in them. My mom though, claims she is able to sense things and has seen a few ghosts. I wonder if my sense is a work in progress?

Re: Burning Skies (1:22pm June 24, 2011):

I can't wait to meet these "hunky warrior vampires" and delve into their world. The best part about having my own set of wings is the freedom I would get, being able to get to places in a snap and really, REALLY seeing the world in a new way. What an experience. I just hope my fear of heights will naturally go away with my wings.

Re: City Of Promise (4:24pm June 23, 2011):

I'm an avid reader all year long, but ironically I find I get distracted easily in the Summer. I devote a lot of time towards family gatherings, exploring the outdoors and having picnics. Most of my reading time happens at night when it is cooler and quieter.

Among many, I am planning to read all The Tea Rose and The Winter Rose by Jennifer Donnelly and Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I have heard so much about these books, I think it's about time I read them. Also Summer Garden by Paullina Simmons, which concludes a trilogy about a love story set admist World World II and the characters are now dealing with the aftermath.

Re: Demons Prefer Blondes (11:44pm June 20, 2011):

I believe romance is diverse enough that it can be realistic and unrealistic, and that is a good thing. Romances have reading merit like any other genre. There are stories about relationships (lovers, families, sisters etc), that we can relate to or those stories that offer escape and welcome imagination. Luckily, there are many wonderful romance authors to choose from, whether it is paranormal, contemporary or something else.

I think the man who was quick to make judgements about romance authors is missing out on a lot. Romance isn't soley for the lonely, whether it is a reader or writer it is for everyone who wants to celebrate love and relationships.
