Romance Paranormal

Betsy’s next undead adventure takes her deep into the depths of a Chicago morgue.

Ever wonder what it’s like to wake up cold and naked on an embalming table? Betsy can tell you!

Waking up in a morgue is bad enough, but having to interrupt the coroner (“you can’t have my brain,”) is her cue to leave. Having nearly scared the undertaker to his own death, Betsy hits the pavement and heads back to her St. Paul mansion to find her friends and family desperately searching for her. The last thing Betsy remembers is reconciling with her husband, Eric, after time-traveling with her sister.

Their travel even included a side trip to hell, literally. But the question still remains, how did she wind up naked, dead and in a Chicago morgue? Betsy soon realizes that she and her sister, Laura didn’t time travel alone. An evil force, The Marc Thing, followed them back in time with the intent to kill Betsy when she was young, ending her future reign as queen.

But it’s not just Betsy’s future that is at stake; everyone in her circle of friends, undead or alive, could be in danger. And it will be a cold day in hell, literally, before she lets the unthinkable happen.

Re: Undead And Undermined

MaryJanice your post made me smile :) I have to say I never got into the whole Twilight phenomenon or the Harry Potter for that matter. So if I happen to like your book it's because of its own merit. You are a new author to me and I think "Undead and Undermined" sounds like a fun read.
(Na S 1:31am July 22, 2011)

thanks for the post ! I really like your books, i was very happy when they were released in french.

Alby Delhia 5:23am July 22, 2011)

Snicker. Too funny. I have read the Twilight series and
still don't get it. I also read the Undead series and am
happy to say that I get it. Keep em coming.

I love your undead series. They are lots of fun. I think I have read them all to
date but may have missed one along the way. Boy am I glad you have a new one
and I just know it will be GREAT!!!
(
Sandra Spilecki 8:45am July 22, 2011)

Love your books :)

Aimee Robison 8:50am July 22, 2011)

I'm with the others, your post made me smile! I have gone through all the HPs and Twilights and love them all! Your undead series is always a must for me as well!
(
Margi Borck 8:50am July 22, 2011)

I love your posts - you totally make me lmao - like your books. Looking forward to reading the latest book. BTW, there was this website where you could write letters to characters from a book and I wrote one to Bella from Twilight where I basically told her to grow a pair and that she did know her boyfriend was a stalker right.
(
Jennifer Rayment 9:01am July 22, 2011)

Your post made me laugh! :) I can't wait till your new Betsy book come out. I waited for over 1 yr when you ended your last book on such a cliffhanger/twist! Love Betsy and Sinclair. :)
(
May Pau 9:01am July 22, 2011)

Now about twilight; My thing is if he's dead that means he's cold and hard and not just where it counts. Harry Potter, well the writing is so good there is no comparison to Meyers. Bella was such a everything is about me.
Love your books.

MaryJanice: I laughed my butt off reading this and may I say a huge "Thanks!"
because that sucka is BIG! *Wink* Vampires are huge and the genre combines
so many other genres that no one can resist. Back in my teenage years, all we
had was "Dark Shadows," a TV show. (OK, I've just dated myself!) We
absolutely loved it and rushed home from school to watch it. So, I would say
that Twihards have probably been around a lot longer that one would think!
Congratulations on all that you have accomplished and I wish you continued
success!

Loved your post--giggled all the way through it. I'm yet another who has not read a Twilight book.
(
Sue Farrell 9:49am July 22, 2011)

Love the way you write...I had to laugh reading this and must admit I have not read your books but you have caught my attention after reading your post!
(
Carolyn Bowen 9:52am July 22, 2011)

Thanks for the smiles and chuckle your post gave me this a.m. to start off my day. Nice to read someone else who has the opinion that old vamps, despite looking like teenagers, dating teenagers is gross.

I read the series because everyone else was, but I found it a slog. I'm Team Who Cares.
(
Anne Muller 10:00am July 22, 2011)

You are such a talented reader and I do enoy the books you write. You draw me into your fantastic tales and I find that I am becoming one with your characters, and that to me a TRUE testament of what a fantastic writer you are. Talent such as yours is only given by God, and thank God you chose to become a writer and share yourself with the rest of us! For that, and on behalf of "myself" I want to say "Thank You".
(
Ronald Riedel 10:39am July 22, 2011)

Love the blog. Lots of LOL. I could care less about Twilight myself. I prefer Wyndham werewolves personally.
(
Chris Roberts 10:42am July 22, 2011)

I love vampires of all shapes sizes and age..but this was really cute. Thanks for
it..Z
(
Zoe Lee 11:28am July 22, 2011)

I have to admit that I've read the Twilight series, because
my friends were driving me crazy about actually reading them.
But I did not find them to be that interesting. I have read
your books, and just love em :) Please keep them coming :)
(
Aimee Robison 11:31am July 22, 2011)

Great post, I enjoyed it.
(
Wilma Frana 11:41am July 22, 2011)

I adore your humor and chuckled through your post. I haven't read the Twilight series but I have enjoyed reading some of your books.
(
G. Bisbjerg 11:43am July 22, 2011)

I would love to have a problem like your, LOL... You made me laugh. Can't wait to read the latest book.
(

for the giveaway.
(
Saskia Kanstinger 12:02pm July 22, 2011)

I love Betsy! Love this cover! I enjoy all your books they make me have a good laugh every time I open one!
(
Heather Hardy 12:07pm July 22, 2011)

LOL, I hear irony in your comments. People like variety and that is what they get when even if the genre is similar it is never the same! BTW, love Derek Bane!
(
Marcelle Cole 12:08pm July 22, 2011)

LOL--- would you like some cheese with that whine ---put me in the running for your contest
(
Audra Holtwick 12:17pm July 22, 2011)

The cover looks like Madonna! I would love to win one!
(
Mary Baker 12:24pm July 22, 2011)

P.S. I would love to have your problems! I'm too old for
Twilight!
(
Mary Baker 12:28pm July 22, 2011)

Fabulous sense of humor! I love YOUR books!
(
Jackie Stieghorst 12:29pm July 22, 2011)

I don't consider that whining but wonderful sarcasim with a wonderful sense of humor lol. Now ducking my head here, I probably didn't get hooked on vampire stories again (did back in the day) until I read the Twilight series recently. so I do think Twilight helped get it in the know again. And your books sound wonderful and I love your sense of humor. And my has been with someone 14 years her senior for more than 5 years - yeah, not my choice but at least he's not as old as Edward lol.
(
Jeanne Sheats 12:34pm July 22, 2011)

I love your post!!!!! and I love your books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(
Jennifer Beck 12:43pm July 22, 2011)

I love your books, have since day one!!! as for twilight, I bought one at a used bookstore (yours i pre-order on amazon) and have yet to crack it, a friend begged me to watch the 1st movie with him, we tried five times, all five times, i fell asleep with in five minutes.... you are funny, her idk
(
Elisa Cooper 1:07pm July 22, 2011)

Hahaha. This one really had me rolling. Never been a fan of
twilight (oops, should I have said that?) and I'm guilty of
watching it out of curiosity. Never read the books either
(blame the movie). I'd rather watch Undead when it becomes a
movie. When they asked you "Will you come on our show and
say mean sarcastic things about Twilight?" a good answer
would have been "Am I getting paid for this?" Lol. To
twilighters reading this, peace. @.@
(
Joan Christine Macawili 1:14pm July 22, 2011)

I loved this post. I've read and loved (sorry haters lol)
the twilight books. It got me into reading vampire fiction
again after years of moving away to pure romances.

Then I found undead books. Oh those pretty little things are
like Buffy with more attitude and better shoes. Betsy has
attitude and I adore them, even more than the twilight saga.

But personally, I do see them as two different series
altogether. I can't draw any similarity except for the fact
they both have vampires and wolves in.

Oh and Sinclair is hotter than Edward too haha.
(
Tracy Sallis 1:15pm July 22, 2011)

"Wow, MJD sure likes to whine about problems that aren't
really problems" LOL.... I kid! Look at it this way... only
2 more Twilight movies left to release and the books are
done. Hold out another year and a half and you will be free,
but remember... you might just miss what all that extra
publicity brought to the table!! Or... not. LOL!!
(
Michele Powell 1:21pm July 22, 2011)

(
Sara Mortensen 1:23pm July 22, 2011)

This was a great blog! I haven't read/seen any of the Twilight and when people bring them up I stear them in the direction of MJD! We shall convert the masses! lol Thanks for the laughs (again)!
(
Sara Mortensen 1:25pm July 22, 2011)

MaryJanice FTW! I love it when people publicly denounce Twilight :)
(
Julie Webster 1:25pm July 22, 2011)

Oh I had a great time reading your post today! Thanks for sharing it had me smiling!
(
Colleen Conklin 1:26pm July 22, 2011)

As usual, love your humor and accurate views on life, love, writing and vampires. Personally, I'm waiting for the Johnny Depp Barnabus!
(
Lizzie Struble 1:39pm July 22, 2011)

LMAO!!! Can I tell you that anytime I see anything that has to to with Twilight, I roll my eyes? Some friends and I had a long FB discussion on what other fictional vamps could kick Edwards sparkling butt...I do believe that Sinclair was on that list! *grin* Thanks for the many hours of entertainment!
(
Sarah Harris 1:40pm July 22, 2011)

You may have 'made it' as an author with your Undead series but you've grown up and began writing about things that truly matter...mermaids, bionic women, Alaskan Queens, and so much more. Well, maybe grown up and matter aren't really the right words but your Undead series is now just icing on the very yummy cake that is MJ. And I eat every last crumb.
(
Charity Hamblin 1:43pm July 22, 2011)

I totally get you...Being asked to talk about something you
didn't do, when you got something you did to advertise must
really suck. But think positive, you have Sink-lair, who is
totally cooler than Edward. I had a great time reading
Twilight, but your books are the ones that got my nails
bitten, with all that waiting in between! Keep up the great
job!Though you probably coud write faster!xDD
(
Laura Solas 1:43pm July 22, 2011)

I think that the vampire genre and paranormal genre allow readers and writers the escape we all need. Everyone needs a escape from reality to relax and regroup. Mary Janice is just a superior escape artist for us readers.
(
Pam Roberts 2:00pm July 22, 2011)

I've decided, I think i love reading your blog posts just as
much as I love the books. You're wickedly funny, and every
time there is a new post, I run to my hubby (also a fan) to
show him the bloggedy goodness.
I'm with you, though, I've never read the Twilight books, in
part because I think the age thing is way too creepy for
words.
(
Winona Hansen-Olsen 2:05pm July 22, 2011)

Keep whining all you want! Your awesome and I'll keep buying your books! Thanks for a great post today!
(
Johanna Jochum 2:07pm July 22, 2011)

Thanks for the blog. I'm not much into the Twilight stuff either. I read the first book and thought boring. I want funny and interesting, not a bunch of teen angst. I had enough of that when I was a teen about a million years ago. Betsy has always made me laugh from the first. And I share her love of shoes. If she ever gets tired of the ones in her closet, please keep me in mind :)
(
Kate Kennedy 2:13pm July 22, 2011)

Now you have my attention!!! Would love to read your books!!
(
Joanne Bozik 2:25pm July 22, 2011)

HaHa! I love you and your books. You always have a way of
making me laugh. Even though I admit I've read both the
Twilight and Harry Potter series, Queen Betsy has won my
heart with her kickass blabbering mouth. Where do you come
up with that stuff?? "You're just uptight, repressed, smug,
antisex, and jealous, you Antichristing morally superior
fundamentally evil bitch." BAHAHAHA!
(
Analicia McClellan 2:29pm July 22, 2011)

I loved your post and (truthfully) have not read any of your books. I loved your writing so much, now I'm looking for them. Good writing is good writing regardless of genre. Don't let the Twihards get you down!
(
Renee Brown 2:39pm July 22, 2011)

When I first read twilight I thought it was great, then I
sat down and thought about it a little and realize that
really instead of being cute the books were just creepy.
Though I do think Alice is an awesome character. In
comparison the Undead series in one which you laugh out loud
non stop (and yes weird looks are involved) and you never
want to put them down. Excellent series.
(
Rachel Birtles 2:50pm July 22, 2011)

Way to go,MJ...I've heard from those stronger than I that the Twi books are even boringly written...something no one can ever say about yours!
You know I love ya!
(
Tonette Joyce 3:24pm July 22, 2011)

MaryJanice you are an absolute riot! I love your Betsy series, you hooked me on the first book. But every post I ever read from you is always hilarious. Thanks for making me laugh with your funny comments and brutal honesty. My favorite post of yours will always be (from your blog) the story of the woman who wanted her money back from you because she didn't like Undead and Unfinished!! Don't worry about Twilight your still the Queen!!
(
Laura Gibala 3:31pm July 22, 2011)

You are so funny. You could write about toilet paper and make it sound great. I have not read or seen any Twilight books or movies. Seems too serious. Yours on the other hand are wonderful. Keep on writing.
(
Nancy Owens 3:37pm July 22, 2011)

hehehe I love your humor...I, too, haven't read or seen the Twilight movies..I love your books and find that your have the mix of humor, sex and scary down pat! I find that I like to read books mainly about adults (ya now people over the age of 21). Occasionally Iwill pick up a "teen" read. But I find reading about teenagers in the paranormal world harder to lose myself in the story.
(
Kimberley Coover 4:05pm July 22, 2011)

I've read all of your Queen Betsy books and the Twilight series, and your books are so much better.

Of course I'm in my mid-30's, so I can relate more to Betsy than the characters in Twilight.
(
Mandy Horetski 4:06pm July 22, 2011)

I LOVE your books and blog postings. They get me out of whatever funk I'm in! I must confess though. I picked up your book Undead and Unwed after I read Twilight. And I only picked it up because it had vampires in the story line. Boy am I glad I did. I have fallen in love with you (Creepy stalker type love) and your books. You make me laugh and suprise me. And I have hunted down every one of your books I could find to read. (see what'd I say, creepy stalker) And I read every blog posting I can find. So, I guess I wanted to thank you and Twilight (I'm a twihard)You for giving me great books and Twilight for turning me on to them. You think you could share that With Stephanie? (ROFL)
(
Jessica Kasenene 4:17pm July 22, 2011)

Enjoyed your blog. Can't wait to read your book.
(
Sheila True 4:28pm July 22, 2011)

Giggles for sure on your posting! Thanks for sharing your whining. What kind of cheese would you like to go with that?
(
Karen Gervasi 4:36pm July 22, 2011)

Love it when someone other than me is the whiner!!
(
MaryEllen Hanneman 5:03pm July 22, 2011)

love your posts and NO you are whinning about problems that are not problems
(
Shirley Younger 5:43pm July 22, 2011)

Hi MaryJanice! I've been a big fan from the very beginning of your publishing career. We were even in on your first Jennifer Scales novel! Keep 'em coming!
(
MaryAnne Banks 6:01pm July 22, 2011)

Wow, interesting post. I"m glad I'm not the only one that has managed to skip
the Twilight series - novels and movies. I'd rather read a great Undead book any
day.
(
Barbara Elness 6:02pm July 22, 2011)

You go right ahead & have your say. I enjoyed it immensely.
(
Mary Preston 6:25pm July 22, 2011)

it burns my britches that twilight gives so much recognition
to the series that have been out for years. i'm not bashing
twilight, i've read it and watched the movies (several times)
but so many books were out WAY before :)
(
Seducedby Books 6:28pm July 22, 2011)

I love your Undead series. It keeps me glued to the books. I have to say that I have not read or watched the Twilight series but...I have watched the Harry Potter series with my grandchildres and we did enjoy ourselves.
(
Cindy Olp 6:29pm July 22, 2011)

WOW, sorry to hear about your problems and I Pray that God will help you through them soon. Also, Please enter me to Win Undead and Undermined Contest. They sound like great reading. I love to enter and win contests on freshfiction.com

i sure do like your undead series!! i've tried the twilight. got bored!
(
Anne Harris 6:46pm July 22, 2011)

I love your series!! Of course, I love shoes and well Betsy is addicted to her shoes. I've managed to skip the Twilight books and movies, but I hear enough about both at work.
(
Melissa Kammer 7:00pm July 22, 2011)

OMG! That is too funny. It certainly seems that Twilight is stalking you. You know you might have a future career in being interviewed about books you've never read! Thanks for the giveaway.
(
Jennifer Beyer 7:04pm July 22, 2011)

Undead books are fine as long as you know it's the genre before reading the book. Vampires seem to have an extreme fascination now, so they are the topic of many movies and books. I don't want to meet a vampire or his cohorts in real life.
(
Alyson Widen 7:41pm July 22, 2011)

Huge Queen Betsey fan....PPPPHHHHHHTTT to Twilight!!

Love your books--and you can whine all you want, you are too funny (can anyone be too funny?) I've been waiting for the new Queen Betsy book to come out, so thank you for that. But, I wanted to ask you--are you going to write any more stories about the mermaid? I really enjoyed those books as well. (BTW, I haven't read the Twilight books either)
(
Lynne Mauro 8:18pm July 22, 2011)

Twilight bores me. I just love the Undead series, it makes me laugh and forget my problems. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. Thank you for the great books you have given your reader to read.
(

This was a funny interview; I enjoyed the Twilight movies and I also enjoyed your books. Keep writing them.
(

I've read this from the beginning...what a hoot this series is...
(

Wow - what a great post! You put a smile on my face! Would love to read Undead and Undermined. I haven't read any of your books as yet, but after reading your post you're writing is sure to be entertaining!

I'm not a fan of the Twilight series but I LOVE your Undead
series.
(
Janette Bennett 9:57pm July 22, 2011)

What a hoot! :-> I really enjoyed this blog, though I do wish that I'd known about your TV interviews, I would have liked to heard/seen them. Keep on going I've enjoyed verything of yours that I've read. You're one of the best.
(
A.I. Lehl 10:02pm July 22, 2011)

Loved reading your post! I like the fact that your books have some humor in them as well, we all need to laugh more these days! Can't wait to read your newest book.
(
Kris Bowers 10:12pm July 22, 2011)

I don't know if you've posted before or not, but I have to say that I think you have a lot of spunk!! You're my kind of person to take on the networks like that, and get your books out there in the open in your dasterdly way!! I must confess that this is not my normal genre, so you would have to convert me. When the media made such a big deal about Twilight, I ran the other way as fast as I could!! I think the guy that plays the main character is a "dweeb" instead of a "dream," and don't know why they put punk kids in the movie, but maybe I'm older than I realize. lol Anyway, congratulations on your latest book, and I wish you all the best with it.
(
Peggy Roberson 10:15pm July 22, 2011)

Hey maryjanice! As a great comic once said "women don't sweat, we don't pass gas, we don't burp, if we didn't bitch we'd explode". Your books beat twilight into the ground!! Keep doing what your doing cause I love it :)
(
Kayla Anastacio 10:27pm July 22, 2011)

Love this kind of story and yours looks very interesting because it is different from the rest. I look forward to reading this series.
(
Catherine Lemanski 10:33pm July 22, 2011)

*LOL* ok, that blog made my night. I really love your books. I'm too old to read the Twilight novels. I have to have humor, rage, intimacy etc. And you bring it! And wrap to all together in to one terrific shoe fanatic named Betsy. I so hope I win one of the new books Undead and Undetermined!!!! Thank you.
(
DAulan Collins 10:38pm July 22, 2011)

I have read lots & lots of books within your genre but yours are the ones I always remember the most!!
(
Christy Jacobson 10:50pm July 22, 2011)

Your stories carry a STORM of emotions - helps me release my own hostitiles.
(
Cilfton Wade 11:07pm July 22, 2011)

I love your books they are awesome. I just wish it was easier to find your books they are always sold out!! I cant wait to read this one too!
(
Catherine Elliott 11:08pm July 22, 2011)

Sorry Twilight stalks you, that's probably the scariest thing that series has
done. Your books are wonderful, I haven't finished the series yet but I'm
working on it. So pick me, pick me. I'm not too proud to beg.
(
Jolina Pardo 11:31pm July 22, 2011)

I love your books and I love your sense of humor.
(
Jennifer Kaleta 11:34pm July 22, 2011)

Talk about a vampire! WOW! You put the Twilight Series to shame. Can't wait to read this book. My daughter and granddaughter both read the vampire books. They are just as anxious to read this one as I am. Thanks for a fun read.
(
Constance Biller 11:34pm July 22, 2011)

Okay, that was funny!!!! The only think that cold make that blog better was if you attach the link to your interview so we can all enjoy it. Now your gonna make me work & look for it myself. What I suffer for great authors!!!
LOVE YOU MJ!!!!
(
Joleen Lee 11:38pm July 22, 2011)

I love your Undead books MJ. What's Twilight? :) I have always looked
forward to reading each installment.

Wow, gang, thanks so much for all the kind words! I guess it's true what
they say, you've gotta hit rock bottom ("I'm being stalked by books I've
never read and have problems that aren't problems.") before you can truly
ask for help. For those who've expressed interest in when they can seize
the latest Undead drama, UNDEAD AND UNDERMINED is available now, and
the next adventure in the Betsyverse (wouldn't you know she'd call it that if
she could?) next summer, July 2012. For readers new to the series, the
first one is UNDEAD AND UNWED. Now, I'm not saying I wouldn't want the
hardcover royalty, because I absolutely do, I want well over five hundred
thouse of them, frankly, but it's easier for some to start from the beginning,
and UNDEAD AND UNWED is the beginning. More blog posts, backlists,
sneak peek chapters from upcoming books, and where to write me via snail
mail ("Dear MJ, I dislike your work so much, I wanted to take pen to paper
and list your many, many faults the old fashioned way...") for signed book
plates and the like...all this and more can be found lurking at
www.maryjanicedavidson.net. Thanks again!
(
MaryJanice Davidson 11:51pm July 22, 2011)

I Love your books and hope to win your latest!
(
Esther Carrillo 11:59pm July 22, 2011)

Don't worry about that other vampire series/movies soon enough those will end like Harry Potter and you will still be doing your oh so fun series of books that I so enjoy! Oh and did I mention you do have other fun series besides the undead which puts you ahead in the race.
(
Michelle Stice 12:18pm July 23, 2011)

Fun post!
(
Robin Daily 12:47pm July 23, 2011)

--I would never judge anyone for giving their
opinion, and when in your eyes things seem a
little skewed well it never hurts to point it out.
(
Carla Carlson 3:11am July 23, 2011)

Funny post!! Everyone has their own opinion and having different types of books to read makes life interesting. Good luck on future books.
(
Kathleen Yohanna 3:34am July 23, 2011)

heehee so funny, it takes guts and a brilliant mind to comment on something not read and to be able to promote your books this way.
(
Jacqui Rose 4:34am July 23, 2011)

I agree with you about the Twilight....I don't see their charm. I definitely like
your books much better. I love your comments!
(
Rowena Huser 10:18am July 23, 2011)

Love your books, loved the Twilight books too. Just because
they both have vampires in them doesn't make them the same
genre IMO. One is young adult fiction, yours are clearly
adult fiction.
(
Cathy Heim 10:38am July 23, 2011)

I'd love a new MJD book. I curse my friend Amy for getting me addicted
to something I have to wait for. ;)
(
Shannon D 10:43am July 23, 2011)

This was so funny! I love your sense of humor...that's what makes your books so great! I'm a little nervous about reading this one after the way the last ended, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're going to make it all okay. :)
(
Marcy Cordova 11:04am July 23, 2011)

You make me smile. (lots) Thanks for the post.
I would love to win a new book. :)
(
Patti Paonessa 11:14am July 23, 2011)

I love your comments, MJ. It sounds like what's actually running through your head you write it word for word -LOL!!
(
Erin Kelly 11:25am July 23, 2011)

I do love your sense of humor as everyone above me has
pointed out as well. (I hate being late on comments it just
seems like I say everything that everyone above me says. :)
I must say that I love Twilight, and always will. But your
books just have a different feel to it, they are witty and
sexy and such a pleasure to read after a long day. So keep
your head up lady! I will look forward to reading the series
because it just makes my day better. Wish I could go shoe
shopping with Betsy. ;) Thanks you for putting your amazing
ideas on paper and sharing with all of us. (no kiss up
intended.) LOL
(
Leslie Lephew 11:27am July 23, 2011)

Love it!
(
Mindy Flynn 1:08pm July 23, 2011)

I love reading anything of yours, even when you are whining on a blog! :) I kind of miss the first published plethora of releases though. You just can't write fast enough for me.
(
Molly Wilsbacher 1:14pm July 23, 2011)

I am so glad to see you doing a blog on Fresh Fiction! I was going to attempt to say something clever and pretend you were a different author but, I'm not that clever and it sounded more dorky than clever.

Husband introduced me to your books. Well, it was more like convinced me to read your books. I've never been into the vampire thing, I prefer a good ghost story. Who knew a hard-core ghost fan would enjoy a shoe-loving vampire queen?
(
V Scott 2:34pm July 23, 2011)

I love reading pretty much anything you write :) You always make me laugh and my husband is always wondering what the heck?
(
Tiffany Forbes 3:00pm July 23, 2011)

Wow great post. I never really got into the whole twlight thing. I read the books and I have watched the movies but I promise I didnt buy the edward dolls or movie posters!!
I love all your books. Betsy is so funny and sinclair is sexy!!

(
Alicia Guest 5:15pm July 23, 2011)

I guess I never thought about the stalkeriness of Twilight, and I was totally one of those people who would judge romance without reading it first, until MJ came along. Hooray for horizons being broadened!
(
Hel Rowin 6:18pm July 23, 2011)

love me some Betsy. she is my favorite heroine, cause she 's got chutzpah in
spades. Also love the use of local locations. I'm from the Twin Cities and it's a
kick to read about her mansion on Summit .
(
Barbara Fenick 8:39pm July 23, 2011)

We always love to hear you whinge MJ it makes us love you even more
(
Jessica Drew 9:42pm July 23, 2011)

I think the news media can be very rude. Your whinning is well placed.
(
Lisa Kendall 10:56pm July 23, 2011)

Too funny. You have such a sense of humor. I personally love the Twilight series but when you think of it in the way you bring it up, it is a little out there. LOL. Now will have to check out your books. Never have but if your writing here is any indication, I know I will not be disappointed.
(
Vicki Hancock 1:54am July 24, 2011)

OMG I LOVE Love Love Betsy not to mention the other wonderful books you have written. I have read several of the wyndham books, others are in a wish list. All of the Betsy books except last one, can't wait to read it. And all the fred books. I have the Alaskan ones and my, myself and why books in my wish list. Thank you so much for filling my days and nights with a journey out of my own reality. :)
(
Michelle English 6:41am July 24, 2011)

Twilight may be your stalker but I'd rather read about Betsy
and Sinclair anytime! Heres a question about one of your
books...Is there going to be any more Fred the mermaid books?
(
Darla Ray 1:54pm July 24, 2011)

Too funny. I have never read any of the Twilight books or seen the movies and have no plans to do so in the future. But I am looking forward to the next Betsy book and anything else you might write.
(
Karyl Davis 8:19pm July 24, 2011)

Great post! I LOVE your Undead series! Reading your books always puts me in a good mood so keep them coming! As for Twilight - never plan to read them because my daughter (who is 27) read them and she said they weren't good at all. I gave her my Betsy books to read and she loved them! :)
(
Anna McKenrick 10:40pm July 24, 2011)

A wonderfully honest post! A refreshing and entertaining "rant" which gives us a great glimpse of your wonderful sense of humor, thanks for sharing and good luck with the new book!
(
E Felder 11:51pm July 24, 2011)

I love your Twilight rant. It makes me feel just a little bit better that I do the exact same thing and no I haven't read them either. Sparkly Vampires? Really? Love your books by the way. Can't wait to get my hands on Betsy's newest adventures...she doesn't go back to Hell does she? No wait...don't tell me, just send me a book so I can find out myself...Me love you Long Time.
(
Christina Torgerson 6:09am July 25, 2011)

I've read the Twilight books and I'm not a fan. However, I do enjoy the Betsy books very much.
(
Kerry Shaw 4:50pm July 25, 2011)

wow loved the comments :) and love the look of ya books too :)
(
Rachael Kennedy 5:22pm July 25, 2011)

Thanks again, everybody, for your very kind comments! I'm thrilled you liked
my bitchy, hypocritical post. :-)
(
MaryJanice Davidson 12:05pm July 27, 2011)

MJD you always make me laugh! Which is one the most important things I look for in a writer! Keep more Betsy coming!!!
