Re: As Gouda as Dead (7:23pm February 7, 2015):

My festivals usually surround the local area, but I find gems of food at the more fun tastings.

Re: The MacGregor's Lady (8:07pm February 8, 2014):

Grace, what book has inspired your writing the most? What is your favorite book ever, (other than yours of course)?

Re: Flirting Under A Full Moon (10:32pm April 11, 2013):

I want to read this one!

Re: Bite Me, Your Grace (10:31pm April 11, 2013):

Can't wait to read this one!

Re: The Survivor (1:39pm March 10, 2013):

I would love to take a class like that. I often find that when I walk, I am thinking and oblivious to what is around me. You have made me stop and think about that aspect. I think passing your suspicions along can help prevent and detect crime. As a teacher, I often have to be particularly observant of changes in my students and have learned to report. Better that they are safe than I am sorry.

Re: Out Of Circulation (1:35pm March 10, 2013):

I love any mystery related to books. Throw in cats and I'm hooked. I haven't read this series but will find a way.

Re: A Risk Worth Taking (1:34pm March 10, 2013):

I loke both pure escapism and real life. It depends on my mood. I will say that I do love to know that other people have the same messes in their lives that I have.

Re: Stranger on Raven's Ridge (1:31pm March 10, 2013):

My yellow brick road took me from CPA to teacher. I worried that I would be so impacted by the reduction in salary that it would not be worth it. Yet, I have found that the intrinsic rewards far outweigh the salary cut and the paperwork and the political whimsy that changes curriculum daily. I just love the teenagers I teach and love helping them find their best. Friday, I was rewarded with a visit from a former student who is now an NFL football player. My students were shocked and ecstatic to meet him and floored that he would come back to see me. That's why I teach!!!

Re: Seducing Cinderella (5:22pm August 12, 2012):

I love the ugly duckling. I always felt that way myself so I tend to love those books. This one falls right into my category!

Re: The Last Victim (10:13pm August 5, 2012):

I do believe you always have to follow your heart when you write. It will not steer you wrong!

Re: A Fatal Fleece (5:20pm June 11, 2012):

I haven't read this series but as a knitter, it caught my eye. I can't wait to start with #1. I do want to know, do your characters reveal themselves around your plot or one of their own?

Re: The Rogue Pirate's Bride (7:56pm February 24, 2012):

I think in a world where we struggle constantly, it's nice to see that things do work out. I think the HEA is what we seek, and it is affirming to see it in a book even when we can't see it in our own lives. Many women are hopeless romantics and want to experience that first moment of love over and over to rekindle what they really want in their own lives. I'm waxing philosophical.

Re: The Widow's Revenge (6:22pm February 18, 2012):

Nuggets of wisdom are the things we need to remember but seldom do.

Re: One Book In The Grave (8:41pm February 2, 2012):

I have loved your books since the moment I have found them. I have all of them except this latest one. I can't wait to read it. Thank you for appreciating the readers in all of us!

Re: Banshee Charmer (9:11am January 22, 2012):

He has to be tall, dark, and handsome. I also like intelligence and honor. I love a good mystery as well.

Re: Dylan (10:59am January 15, 2012):

Oh my, but the excerpt was hot! I look forward to reading this one. I love a cowboy who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to lasso it.

Re: Sins Of The Highlander (10:56am January 15, 2012):

My must have trait is honor. He must have a sense of right and wrong. So many today do not. I love a highlander any way I can get him!

Re: Pretty Persuasion (9:20pm January 9, 2012):

I almost always finish a book. I can probably count on one hand how many I have not finished. However, I am trying to get into the habit of stopping if I don't like it. For so long, I had a hard time finding books because my mom only took me to the library every two weeks. I would be finished in a week. Reading was my escape and I savor the written word.

Re: Hushed (7:55pm January 7, 2012):

My goal is to enjoy this last year before my son goes to college. He has lots to do to finish school and sports. I want to enjoy my time with him.

Re: Hot Rain (10:20am January 4, 2012):

Online dating was before my time --- Having said that, I think it can be a great way to meet people; however, I can't see online dating taking the place of the chemistry that has to happen between two people. I think it is easy to deceive someone with talk that is impersonal when you cannot watch how they say it. We listen to others with 80% body language and 20% what they say.

Re: A Demon Does It Better (10:22am January 3, 2012):

I think it would be fun to be a critter, as long as I know I can go back. Forever would be a different animal.

Re: A Promise Of Safekeeping (1:19pm January 1, 2012):

I like old books. Books with history, not necessarily valuable books but books that are pretty, maybe that someone cherished.

Re: The More the Terrier (6:57pm December 31, 2011):

For 2012, I am sending my first child to college. That will be hard enough.

Re: The Angel Of Blythe Hall (9:06am December 30, 2011):

My husband is forever surprising me with gifts including a Tahoe, my piano, and a house. He can always surprise me because I trust him implicitly. He seems to be the only one that can do that.

Re: Lover's Leap (7:44am December 29, 2011):

These books sound wonderful! I don't know who does your cover art but they are wonderful! I can't wait to read them.

Re: The Last Slayer (4:18pm December 27, 2011):

The secondary characters often make the book believable and can evolve into main characters in later books. Never underestimate the power of a truly developed character.

Re: Mozart's Last Aria (12:36pm December 27, 2011):

As the daughter of a piano teacher, I can tell you that no one could consider Mozart anything but brilliant. I cannot wait to read this book!

Re: Finding Felicity (7:29am December 23, 2011):

Merry Christmas and congratulations on your publication!

Re: Wedded In Scandal (9:06pm December 22, 2011):

I love just browsing the internet and checking on all of my favorite authors. Now I can indulge because as a teacher, we just finished the semester and I can peruse for books until my heart is content (which never happens!)

Re: Sleight Of Paw (12:51pm December 18, 2011):

It doesn't matter what we do, I always have my eyes shut. Even in pictures that are taken randomly, those eyes are still shut. Maybe it's a way of saving my soul?

Re: The King's Mistress (8:21pm December 17, 2011):

I loved your info on mistletoe. As a child, we used to go out and gather it by shooting it out of the tree to hang in my grandmother's house. I love anything Scottish as my ancesters are definitely from there. I'm still trying to figure out how they got to the U.S. Tonight, I shall dream of mistletoe and Scottish kings!

Re: Hunter Of Shadows (9:22pm December 2, 2011):

When I get to a WHOA moment, I often have to go back and reread it to make sure I read it right. That's when you know the twist is really good. It's often the signal that I will read the book again.

Re: Waking Up Dead (9:38pm November 26, 2011):

Physical therapy is the hardest as you have to motivate yourself much like the heroines we love. Keep at it!

Re: The Spy Who Left Me (8:37pm November 25, 2011):

Reading is my relaxation from the stress of the holidays and everything that goes with it. I love to escape into another world inspired by a fierce heroine.

Re: The Storm That Is Sterling (12:50pm November 22, 2011):

My favorite tormented hero has to be Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice -- only for Austen lovers. I love to spend Thanksgiving watching the Macy's parade with my mom and having my fill of Turkey, dressing, and cranberry sauce in front of a football game.

Re: The Return Of The Stranger (10:20am November 21, 2011):

It's always fun to read what other people do with old favorites.

Re: Under The Moon (5:33pm November 19, 2011):

I kind of like having a pet occasionally. When the characters interact with the pet or talk to it, the character adds another dimension. It also shows the more sympathetic side to the character if they love animals and animals love them. Kind of like humans!

Re: Baer Truth (8:16pm October 3, 2011):

I remember the day a frog landed on my windshield on the way out of the gas station. When I said to my daughter, "There's a frog on my windshield." It turned into a story. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Re: The Last Rising (7:40pm September 18, 2011):

I love the whisper in the ear which sends shivers down my spine and tickles at the same time. How that is possible, I will never know but it happens. I absolutely LOVE it!

Re: The Rake And The Recluse (7:37pm September 18, 2011):

I can't wait to see this book! It certainly blends the two genres and I can see it as a new way to write. What an idea!

Re: Ward Against Death (6:39pm August 27, 2011):

My dream job is to get paid to read in some capacity. I'm close at the moment as a teacher. Yet I would still just like to read.

Re: The Lady Of The Storm (1:20pm August 4, 2011):

I have a running film in my head when I read created by the author and I as we create the story together. I love that feeling!

Re: What A Goddess Wants (6:10pm July 28, 2011):

While you may write through anything, I can read through anything. I can understand what you have gone through and congratulate you on your determination and perseverence!

Re: The Genesis Key (1:39pm July 27, 2011):

Wow! What a premise! I can't wait to read it!

Re: A Gentleman Never Tells (5:59pm July 25, 2011):

I think the strangest thing I have seen is the book published backwards. Chapter 1 should have been chapter 10. Chapter 2 should have been chapter 9. etc. How it got published that way, I will never know. I realized after a few chapters that they were actually in reverse order. The problem was I HATE READING THE ENDING FIRST!! I am a chronological order nut. I hated that book for that reason.

Re: Undead And Undermined (2:39pm July 22, 2011):

I loved your post and (truthfully) have not read any of your books. I loved your writing so much, now I'm looking for them. Good writing is good writing regardless of genre. Don't let the Twihards get you down!

Re: The Crepe Makers' Bond (10:06pm July 13, 2011):

I definitely consider myself smart. It started with getting good grades and getting into the top classes. I want to say it started in middle school. Although I won a reading contest (read the most pages in a year) in 5th grade. My family has always agreed that I am smart. I think it has been more a self-fulfilling prophecy. Quite often I think my brother is the smartest as he has been very successful in business and life. Unfortunately, I have to agree that a large part of our life is based on how we view ourselves.

Re: Runestone (9:51am July 9, 2011):

I think it is the combination of eyes and attitude. I don't like men who are so cocky that they know they are stunning. I prefer men who suggest it but don't absolutely know it. Often this characteristic is reflected in their eyes. It's the way they look and carry themselves. Willing to please yet not taking themselves so seriously. Behavior is the key.

Re: Loved By A Warrior (12:21pm July 6, 2011):

I think it can be a combination of both. As a child, I went to a campt where they warned us of a monster in the lake. I had nightmares all summer. The point was to keep us away from a dangerous drain in the lake. I was petrified. It did its job.

Re: Burning Skies (10:25am June 24, 2011):

I love the idea of being able to go anywhere at a moment's whim. That feeling of euphoria you talk about would be the ultimate excitement as I love to envision the places I read about. How much better would it be to be able to get there almost immediately?

Re: Demons Prefer Blondes (9:36pm June 20, 2011):

Okay, this makes me mad. I like to read romances and murder mysteries but I am happily married for 22 years and have yet to kill anyone. Really???? Who makes up this stuff?

Re: Under a Desert Sky (11:09pm June 19, 2011):

I love the suspense and uncertainty. I can't wait to read this book>!

Re: Heart of the Highland Wolf (11:20am June 8, 2011):

I love anything Highlander and werewolves just ask to be added. Can't wait!

Re: Frostbound (8:59am June 7, 2011):

I am just discovering paranormal and can't wait to read this one!

Re: The Soldier (9:18am June 2, 2011):

I think imagining yourself as a character is the joy and adventure we take in reading. I always imagine myself as the character - what I would do differently, would I say that? I can't wait to read the book!

Re: A Courtesan's Guide to Getting Your Man (8:24pm May 26, 2011):

OOHHHH! This looks good. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Re: Mind Games (7:40pm May 25, 2011):

Okay so maybe I cyber stalk. Its not really that bad unless you count that I am constantly trying to read everything I love with not enough time AND figure out how my favorite writers got to be the writers they are. I do have favorite authors whose websites are on my favorites. Does that count as cyber stalking?

Re: Dirty (11:41am May 22, 2011):

Congratulations! Having the courage to take the risk of self-publishing is the ultimate statement of your own destiny!

Re: Wickedly Charming (9:02am May 16, 2011):

Today's genres are becoming more blurred by the love of writing which I think is great. I love a good mystery/romance but until recently was stuck reading one or the other. Hurrah for those who just write for the love of writing and letting the characters take them where it will.

Re: Deadly Promises (6:42pm May 15, 2011):

I'm intrigued. Can't wait to read it!

Re: Grimoire (6:24pm May 15, 2011):

Sometimes I find the secondary characters as intriguing as the primary ones. The I love to read the spinoffs.

Re: The Hat (9:15am May 9, 2011):

Wow! Such powerful writing! My own mother stayed at home until my father was disabled by a heart attack. Then she went back to school at the same time having a full-time job and taking care of the family. Her strength has always inspired me. Despite what life has thrown at her, she has always been viewed by the world and me as one of the most giving and caring people. Like you, I would never complain about her!

Re: Dragons Prefer Blondes (11:54am May 8, 2011):

You know it's bad when the first thing I check in my morning computer time is fresh fiction instead of the news. I love the way you interact with the authors. What fun!

Re: Deadly Promises (1:58pm May 7, 2011):

One can't help but admisre those who continually fight and never give up. I have always thought of SEALS as brave and daring but not necessarily the cost to their humanity and lives. How thankful I am to have those willing to be such heroes for us!

Re: Love Drunk Cowboy (11:24am May 4, 2011):

Can't wait to read it. Sounds wonderful

Re: The Legend Of Michael (8:31am May 2, 2011):

I can't wait to get this book. The writing is breathtaking.

Re: Bastian (11:58am May 1, 2011):

I think friendship can deter certain relationships, especially when one fears losing the friendship to go to another level. I can't wait to see how you treat it.

Re: Total Abandon (10:09am April 30, 2011):

I have recently gotten an ereader and love it. Like another reader, I have 2 TBR piles. I love the convenience of the ereader. I love to read in bed at night and the e-reader weighs less than a book and is less awkward, yet there is nothing like browsing a bookstore or flipping a book open to peruse the writing.

Re: Heart of Deception (12:22pm April 29, 2011):

I love hats but have never felt I look good in them. I love your husband's comment. I think the self-confidence is what pulls it off. I am now determined to wear more hats.

Re: My Favorite Countess (8:44am April 28, 2011):

I love the idea of Regency doctors. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Re: The Alchemy of Desire (9:43am April 25, 2011):

I am so intrigued by this character. I like the idea of the nice guy finishing first (I actually married one.). I cannot wait to read this book especially your treatment of this character!

Re: The Devil in Disguise (1:29pm April 23, 2011):

I love the idea of spies and love put together. I can't wait to read your first book and get to know you as an author. I have really liked getting to know author's through the internet and finding out how they write and what goes on in their heads as they do so. It always helps me to help my students become better writers.

Re: Hidden Embers (10:59am April 22, 2011):

I love the warmer weather. My favorite part of spring is when the trees are just beginning to bud and have the unusual color of green. The azaleas are blooming as are the forsythia. That particular stage is always my favorite!

Re: Blood Sin (10:57am April 21, 2011):

I often wonder if some writers believe that intelligence and romance are mutually exclusive. I love the idea that someone very intelligent can also find love and desire themselves. Using all parts of the brain and heart are what most people do. Intelligence does not dull the senses. On the contrary, I think it sometimes makes you more aware. Thank you for reminding me of that with this book.

Re: It Happened On Maple Street (9:11am April 19, 2011):

While lucky enough not to have lived through your pain, I have watched it in my family and friends. Thank you for daring to speak out about such a personal issue and making a way for others to feel your doubts and your strength. Hoorah for your bravery and the courage to tell such a personal story!

Re: Tangled Threads (8:43am April 18, 2011):

The only thing I watch are all of the NCIS. Even old ones have to be seen again. Otherwise, I'm reading or looking for books online.

Re: A Marriage of Inconvenience (8:40am April 16, 2011):

My control freakness relates to my life more than the minutae of my surroundings. Heaven help someone who tries to make me do something against what I think is right. I can't wait to read this book.

Re: Drip Dead (4:00pm April 14, 2011):

Welcome to my world! As a teacher, I get insane questions some days, and mine are high schoolers. Kudos for going and opening their minds to the world of writing. Thanks for going there.

Re: Cowboy Fever (12:36pm April 13, 2011):

An altogether believable plot. I can't wait to read it.

Re: Demons Are A Girl's Best Friend (4:03pm April 12, 2011):

After reading your comments, I have to find this book. Kindle here we come!
