Tawny Weber | Top Ten Sexy Valentines Drinks

BREAKING THE RULES BLURB:

What do you get when you mix a military hero on a mission with an independent artist hell-bent on proving something?  A battle that can only be won between the sheets.

Sophia Castillo is finally calling the shots in her life, and she’s determined to stay in charge.  The last thing she needs is a babysitter.  Not even a babysitter as sexy as US Army Sergeant First Class and EOD Squad Leader, Maximillian St. James.  But when someone is sabotaging her art gallery, she turns to Max for help.  When he proves to be a challenge to her independence, she lays down their relationship rules.  Hot sex, good times and a lot of laughs are all good.  Anything involving their hearts is strictly off limits.  Before they catch the vandal, Max and Sophia both have to decide just which rules they are willing to break, and how high a price they are willing to pay.

In so excited about the release of BREAKING THE RULES that I’m throwing not one, but two parties.  The latter is mentioned at the end of this blog.  But the first is right here, right now.  And what better way to party than to have some sexy serving boys, scantily clad in low slung jeans and bright smiles, head around with their trays of Wild Valentines drinks, chocolate covered strawberries and a bowl filled with every variety of kisses.

As our hunky serving boys make their rounds, here’s what they’ll be offering…

Tawny’s Top Ten Wild Valentines Drinks

  • Champagne
  • Sex on the Beach
  • Screaming Orgasm
  • Skip and Go Naked
  • Absolut Sex
  • Tie Me to the Bedpost
  • Lime Passion
  • Easy Lay
  • Goodnight Kiss

Okay, seriously?  I’ll share a secret.  Only the champagne is on my actual, I would drink this, list *g* But the others made me laugh and I had to bring them to the party.

What will you be drinking today?  And what sexy named drinks have you heard of – and have you ever tried one?  Was it fun to watch the bartenders face when you ordered?

To celebrate the release of BREAKING THE RULES, I’m giving away some Valentine’s treats to one lucky commenter today!  A hand-crafted (by me) heart-shaped tin filled with candy, and a book of the winner’s choice from my backlist!

Be sure and check out my upcoming party!

Valentines Party!

I’m so excited that my tenth release, BREAKING THE RULES, is on shelves now!  I loved writing this story, because it focuses on something near and dear to my heart – a Military Hero (my own hero-hubby was in the Army).  Even more fun was making this a Valentine’s story, complete with hearts and flowers.

To celebrate, I’m having an invitation-only Valentine’s Day Party!  Including:

  • A downloadable short story written just for this party as a door prize for everyone who attends
  • One lucky person will win a Valentine’s Basket!

All you have to do to join the fun is go to the Breaking the Rules Valentines Party page on my website, and let me know you’d like an invitation!

Good Luck!

Tawny Weber

Re: Tawny Weber | Top Ten Sexy Valentines Drinks

I'll be drinking my usual: unsweet iced tea, as I don't drink
alcoholic beverages.
(Leanna Morris 11:38am February 12, 2011)

It will be just ice tea for me today. However, in the past I have tried 2 erotic drinks. In a famous bar in New Orleans I was traeted to a "Blow job". To be honest I found nothing special about this drink. And recently while out with friends the female bar tender had us all try "Cum in a hottub" (butterscotch snaps & Bailey's) Boy was my face red when it was given to us, but surprisingly it was very good.
(Christine Stack 11:56am February 12, 2011)

I'll be drinking tea, as usual.
(Minna Puustinen 1:02pm February 12, 2011)

I love strawberry martinis...
(Susan Shapley 2:02pm February 12, 2011)

I will be drinking the same thing i always do on valentines day, Red Wine. I have had A Absolutly Horny, and a G-Spot. And i have heard of Get Laid Lemonaid, Naked Lady, Sex in the City, and Vibrator.
(Maria Cole 3:02pm February 12, 2011)

LOL I don't actually drink alcohol so I haven't ordered drinks with naughty names. I did go to a restaurant a few months ago & my husband ordered me a Shirley Temple as a joke. I have to say that it was really yummy! My drink of choice is usually a southern sweet tea.
(Stacie Deramo 3:23pm February 12, 2011)

I enjoy strawberry daqs... mt sister is the one that likes to try the drinks with interesting names... she and I one time looked up online how to make drinks and some of the names were just too funny! :)
(Colleen Conklin 3:23pm February 12, 2011)

I enjoy drinking Sex on the Beach, Screaming Organism, and Virgin Margaritas. My favorite drink is Mai Tai (I don't even know what it means.)
(Kai Wong 3:30pm February 12, 2011)

My favorite drink is a Mimosa (champagne and orange juice.)
I've never ordered any of the drinks you listed, I just know
I'd blush and stammer all over the place! On another blog,
someone listed a drink that I think was called "Buttered
Nipples." Have no idea what was in it!
(Patricia Cochran 4:01pm February 12, 2011)

Tawny, just checked out the drink I mentioned in my previous
note. It's a shooter called a "Buttery Nipple," made with
Bailey's Irish Cream and Butterscotch Schnapps.

Pat C.
(Patricia Cochran 4:07pm February 12, 2011)

Congrats on the new release, Tawny. Sex on the Beach is delicious. I like fruity drinks, but I also love champagne.
(Jane Cheung 5:10pm February 12, 2011)

I will be having my usual..Pinot Grigio!!
(Dawn Staniszeski 5:17pm February 12, 2011)

My choice of drink depend on the weather & the food. For February it's still wine (probably from one of the vineyards I love in Virginia), but in the summer my top choice is usually a Margarita.
(Diane Sallans 5:24pm February 12, 2011)

Love my decaf coffee!!
(Joanne Bozik 6:07pm February 12, 2011)

Oh, there are a variety of concoctions, alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike that I can think of that I will be consuming this weekend. Especially with the unofficial start of NASCAR season beginning with the BUD Shootout! But I will most likely add some Bailey's to my decaf.

I have tried Sex on the Beach. And the drink also. LOL! It's your run of the mill fruity, icy, fru-fru drink. I tend to stick with a good draft beer and Patron Silver.

Tawny, congrats on your new release. I've been trying to win a copy. Now, I'm begging........pretty please....on my knees........I know how well those enlisted men can get it done. I married one -- a Marine!
(Cynthia Netherton 6:52pm February 12, 2011)

I have only had alcohol three times in my life, with diasterous results. I would order my usual lemonade. Those sexy guy on the cover make for great dreams.
(Kathleen Bianchi 8:01pm February 12, 2011)

I have had a blow job which is served in a shot glass and drank without hands, they are delicious but like their namesake are done too fast. :)
My preference is Sex on the Beach. It goes down sooo smooth. Usually it's the people over hearing my drink order that have funny reactions. It's definitely a conversation starter.
Max looks yummy and books sounds great. Good luck and happy writing!
(Tracie Travis 8:26pm February 12, 2011)

Hi Leanna :-)

How cool - unsweetened iced black tea is my day to day, by the gallon drink :-D LOVE it!
(Tawny Weber 8:27pm February 12, 2011)

I don't drink alcohol b/c of a medication that I have to take....but some days I think about it ALOT! LOL Some of these drink names are so funny that it makes you wonder about the people who named them in the first place.
(June Manning 8:29pm February 12, 2011)

Hey Christine :-D

Waving from one iced tea gal to another :-)

I am a little ashamed to say I hadn't heard of a Blow Job before (the kind with the upper case title of a drink letters, that is). I wonder how many guys order that LOL.

Cum in a Hot Tub I had heard of, but hadn't tried. It does sound yummy *g* You have to figure those bartenders are experts at keeping a straight face when they serve up these drinks, right?
(Tawny Weber 8:33pm February 12, 2011)

Cheers, Minna :-D

I'm always a fan of tea!
(Tawny Weber 8:34pm February 12, 2011)

Today I am drinking jasmine tea. It is such a lovely romantic tea.
(G. Bisbjerg 8:35pm February 12, 2011)

sounds like a good read; make mine a mijito since we are fantasizing. really it would be tea!!
(Barbara Studer 8:44pm February 12, 2011)

Oooh, Susan. Yum. I've had chocolate martinis and lemon, but never strawberry. I do love strawberry margaritas though!
(Tawny Weber 8:51pm February 12, 2011)

Get Laid Lemonaid,Maria? LOL that is so catchy! Naked Lady and G Spot are new to me (I wonder how they decide what to put in these drinks?) but I've ordered Absolutely Horny before and it wasn't bad :-)

Enjoy your red wine!!
(Tawny Weber 8:58pm February 12, 2011)

Stacie, those Shirley Temples are pretty good, aren't they? I wonder if some of the drinks you couldn't get virgin style? I can just imagine the bartender trying to figure out a virgin Get Laid Lemonade LOLOL
(Tawny Weber 9:00pm February 12, 2011)

Hi Colleen :-) I love anything strawberry, so high five on the strawberry daqs. I had fun looking at drink names, too. There are some crazy ones out there, that's for sure :-)
(Tawny Weber 9:01pm February 12, 2011)

Mai Tai? I don't know what it means either... hmmm. Research time :-D

But great drink list! I think my fave of those is the margarita, sans virginity LOL
(Tawny Weber 9:02pm February 12, 2011)

Speaking as a former bartender from a bygone era: I was surprised that "Sloe Comfortable Screw" wasn't on your list.
(Mary Ann Dimand 10:25pm February 12, 2011)

Since yesterday was my Husband's birthday, today is my Anniversary, and Valentine's day is all in the same ball of wax, so to speak, if I have anything to drink, it might be some Bailey's on the rocks, since I'm not much of a drinker. The only sexy drink I've ever heard of was the one you mentioned - Sex on the beach. Some of the others that you mentioned gave me a chuckle, and I don't know if I could order them with a straight face. I suppose I led a sheltered life, because I really didn't go out, so I didn't have exposure to different drinks and their names. If I had anything, it was at home with my Husband and friends. Congratulations on your new book. It sounds like it will be the perfect read for this time of year!!
(Peggy Roberson 10:37pm February 12, 2011)

Add to the list the Harvey Wallbanger, which is basically whiskey (do NOT use the good single malt!!) and orange juice, although I've also had it as a whiskey/Orange Julius combination, which was totally yummy!

Later,

Lynn, who'll see you at the party Monday!
(Lynn Rettig 10:42pm February 12, 2011)

I always like the Blow Job & Sex on the Beach.
(Pam Hager 10:46pm February 12, 2011)

I've ordered Sex On The Beach cause I really like Sex On The Beach! LOL, just the drink...never tried the other!
(Pamela Stewart 10:54pm February 12, 2011)

I haven't tried any sexy named drinks and today I had green tea:)
(Leni Kaye 11:14pm February 12, 2011)

Congrats on the new release. Sounds great. I'll probably be sticking to my normal glass of wine on Valentine's day.
(Laurie B 11:22pm February 12, 2011)

LOL Patricia :-) I think ordering a naughty drink while keeping a straight face is a special skill *g* I tend to laugh. Actually, I've tried the Buttery Nipple before- it's not bad :-) A little on the sweet side, though.
(Tawny Weber 11:24pm February 12, 2011)

Hi Jane :-) Thank you! Isn't champagne the best go-to indulgence? I always feel like I'm celebrating when I drink champagne. And fruity drinks are the yum.
(Tawny Weber 11:28pm February 12, 2011)

Hey Dawn :-) I'm having Pinot Grigio tonight myself :-D
(Tawny Weber 11:28pm February 12, 2011)

Diane, aren't local wines fabulous? We have quite a few in my area (I live just outside Napa Valley). And a frosty cold margarita in the hot summer? Perfect!
(Tawny Weber 11:30pm February 12, 2011)

Coffee it is, Joanne :-D
(Tawny Weber 11:30pm February 12, 2011)

ROFL Cynthia :-D Go you on the Sex on the Beach... and the drink *g* I hope you enjoy all the drinks this weekend -and have fun with the beginning of NASCAR!

fingers crossed for a win *ggg* And WoOOoot for those Military Hotties!!!
(Tawny Weber 11:35pm February 12, 2011)

Kathleen, a smart woman knows her alcohol limits :-) it sounds like you've nailed yours down for sure!

and isn't he gorgeous? I do love my cover hero. Thank you!
(Tawny Weber 11:36pm February 12, 2011)

Tracie, Hey there :-)

I haven't seen the Blow Job drank that way before. Then again, I didn't know that was a drink until today *g* I'm such a klutz though, that'd make drinking a major challenge.

It is fun to watch faces, isn't it?! Half the enjoyment of drinks like this is the shock value of ordering :-D

Thanks so much for the luck and congrats :-)
(Tawny Weber 11:39pm February 12, 2011)

Hi June :-)

Restrictions are rough, aren't they? And when it comes to the drink names, I'm with you - what is the requirement for a drink to have a naughty name? What, specifically, makes it worthy of being so wild?

Gotta wonder :-)
(Tawny Weber 11:41pm February 12, 2011)

I like Iced Tea. Diet Dr. Pepper is also good.
(Ann Garland 11:41pm February 12, 2011)

Hey G. :-)

Jasmine Tea does invoke the image of romance, doesn't it? Soothing and relaxing, even.
(Tawny Weber 11:42pm February 12, 2011)

LOL Barbara. I often fantasize that my regular ole tea is something stronger. But I drink a couple of gallons a day, so that would severely impede both my writing, and my liver health *g* So, yes, lets fantasize for sure!!
(Tawny Weber 11:43pm February 12, 2011)

Oh man, Mary Ann, I totally forgot about about Sloe Comfortable Screw! That's the first 'naughty' named drink I ever ordered.

So being a former bartender, you're the lady to ask :-) How do these names come about? Is there a prerequisite for a drink to be naughty? And how did people usually order them - blushing, or with a straight face? :-D I'm so curious now!
(Tawny Weber 11:51pm February 12, 2011)

Hi Peggy :-)

First off- Happy Anniversary and a Happy Birthday to your husband :-D This must be THE fun weekend of your year, right? I hope you celebrated and had a lot of fun!!

Thank you so much for the congrats :-)
(Tawny Weber 11:53pm February 12, 2011)

Hey Lynn :-)

YAY - so glad you'll be at the party!! I think it'll be lots of fun. I haven't tasted the Harvey Wallbanger, but anything with an Orange Julius has to taste so yummmmmmy.
(Tawny Weber 11:55pm February 12, 2011)

Hi Pam :-D

Blow Job and Sex on the Beach... that's a great combination LOL
(Tawny Weber 11:56pm February 12, 2011)

ROFL Pamela ;-) Glad you clarified that *ggg*
(Tawny Weber 11:56pm February 12, 2011)

Leni, green tea is great!!
(Tawny Weber 11:57pm February 12, 2011)

Thanks, Laurie :-)

I hope you enjoy your wine and have a fab Valentine's Day!
(Tawny Weber 11:57pm February 12, 2011)

Hi Ann :-)

Yay, another fellow tea drinker. We should have a tea party *g* My husband is a big Dr. Pepper drinker, and did you ever see that they made Dr. Pepper Slurpees?
(Tawny Weber 11:58pm February 12, 2011)

Tea today. I would never dare order a suggestively named drink. Fun to read through though.
(Mary Preston 12:13pm February 13, 2011)

I have heard of the VELVET GLOVE, but have never ordered it. I had only heard
of champagne before my daughter went to college. She added 3 more to my
vocabulary. I am sure if I showed her or my son the list (he works at a bar) they
would know them.
I'll stick with a glass of wine and maybe an Irish Coffee after dinner.
(Patricia Barraclough 12:43pm February 13, 2011)

Congrats on your new book. Thanks for giving me a chance to win. I will have usual glass of wine on Valentines day.
(Linda Hall 1:47am February 13, 2011)

I actually have had the experience of tasting a Screaming Orgasm. It was bought for me on my last birthday during a fun night out with family and friends. And it tasted really good! Admittedly I wasn't expecting it to be anything great, but I'd defintely be up for another one sometime ;)

Happy (early) Valentine's day! =)
(Amanda P 2:09am February 13, 2011)

I no longer can drink alcohol but when I did the bartender at a lovely restaurant
made a drink that was his own--A Greek Kiss. I don't now remember what was
in it but it was soooooooo good. Now I can only have tea. Ah well...
(Sandra Spilecki 6:02am February 13, 2011)

I think I'll go for a small glass of champagne. It brings back great memories of my first glass: on a bateau-mouche (sightseeing boat) on the Seine River in Paris. That was looong ago.
(Sigrun Schulz 6:26am February 13, 2011)

I love a good margerita
(Pam Howell 7:52am February 13, 2011)

I rarely drink, a wine cooler or spritzer a yr is big for me. I did have a bartender friend that made up a drink for me. Knowing I didn't like the taste of alcohol & loved sour he created
A Pink Pussycat (he named it, not me). It's awesome. I always have to tell them what's in it & they always add it to their drink list...
Ivy
(Ivy Truitt 8:42am February 13, 2011)

Tea it is, Mary :-)

And these really are fun names to read, aren't they? They would be even more fun to put into a story *g*
(Tawny Weber 9:58am February 13, 2011)

Hi Patricia :-)

I haven't heard of a Velvet Glove. I'll have to look that one up. But wine or Irish coffee do sound quite celebrational!
(Tawny Weber 10:34am February 13, 2011)

Cheers, Linda, and thanks!!!

Wine it is :-)
(Tawny Weber 10:35am February 13, 2011)

What a fun birthday treat, Amanda :-)

And a happy (early) Valentine's Day to you, too. I hope yours is fabulous!
(Tawny Weber 10:36am February 13, 2011)

Oh Sandra, your very own drink? I love the name!!! It's romantic and kinda sexy :-)

But tea is great, too. I couldn't live with out it LOL
(Tawny Weber 10:37am February 13, 2011)

Sigrun, what a lovely memory! Champagne it is, then :-)
(Tawny Weber 10:38am February 13, 2011)

You and me, both, Pam! Have you ever tried a pomegranate margarita? Ohhhhhhh so good!
(Tawny Weber 10:39am February 13, 2011)

Ivy, that is so cool that you have your own custom drink :-D I love the name, too!
(Tawny Weber 10:40am February 13, 2011)

(Desiree Reilly 11:25am February 13, 2011)

Mmmmm.Strawberry Margaritas!
(Diane Pollock 12:03pm February 13, 2011)

I'm not much of a drinker--so I'd not heard of most of those---but doesn't Skip and Go Naked just sound like fun!
I'll still to my tame mimosa.
(Sue Farrell 12:27pm February 13, 2011)

The Panty Dropper, Or Sex on the beach
(Vickie Hightower 12:32pm February 13, 2011)

My favorite is a cup of hot orange spice black tea.
(Anna Speed 12:43pm February 13, 2011)

Champagne with fresh strawberries on the side....yummy
(Barbara Ryan 3:15pm February 13, 2011)

As a loooong time visitor to Myrtle Beach, Sex on the Beach
gets my vote every time!
(Lisa Richards 4:30pm February 13, 2011)

I too haven't heard of most of these, but I'm gonna have to try a tie me to the bedpost.
(Lisa Kendall 4:34pm February 13, 2011)

Champagne with fresh strawberries on the side!!!!!
(Brenda Rupp 6:38pm February 13, 2011)

I'll be having some cranberry juice spiked with a lemon to help me pucker up for a reason. Your drink list made me envious and read like good chapters for a hot treat in fiction.
(Alyson Widen 9:42pm February 13, 2011)

When I was in college, a group of us girls would go out on the weekend. There was a nightclub on the beach, and we would dare each other to order sex on the beach. Of course, being young, we thought it was funny.
(Ginger Hinson 10:10pm February 13, 2011)

Congrats to You!
I have heard of alot of these as well as a blowj*b. I like my drinks a little on the sweet side, but have to be careful not to mix too much, LOL
(Debra Simning-Chapman 10:13pm February 13, 2011)

I have enjoyed appletinis in the past and probably ill again in the future!
(MaryEllen Hanneman 1:51am February 14, 2011)

I have coffee in the morning and iced tea in the afternoon. At Happy Hour, I will have a Kir. Lived in Paris for many years and this became my drink of choice. White wine with a "smidge" of Creme de Cassis. Delicious!! Come have one with me! Happy Valentine's Day!
(Connie Fischer 8:36am February 14, 2011)

Champagne!
(Ivy Pittman 11:12am February 14, 2011)

Never tried any of the naughty drinks. Not much of a drinker but I do love a pina colada, a daquiri or a bushwhacker on occasion.
(Cherie Japp 3:16pm February 14, 2011)

I'm not much of a drinker, but we always celebrate with a bottle of wine. Happy Valentine's Day!
(Cathy Phillips 4:37pm February 14, 2011)
