Kandy Shepherd swapped a fast-paced career as a magazine editor for a life writing fun, feel-good fiction. She lives on a small farm in the Blue Mountains near Sydney, Australia with her husband, daughter, and a menagerie of animal friends that include a dog, cats, horses and two miniature bulls. Love is a Four-Legged Word, her debut novel, is a romantic comedy set in San Francisco about a little dog who inherits a big fortune and the people he brings together. Kandy's second novel for Berkley, Home Is Where the Bark Is, is a story of romance, mystery and dogs set in an upscale doggy day care center in San Francisco. It goes on sale on July 6, 2010.
