With the hot weather, I'm taking it easy this weekend. I read I read McKettricks Of Texas:Austin by Linda Lael Miller and I might read Debbie Macomber's 92 Pacific Boulevard next.

Currently reading the Host by Stephanie Meyer and recently ordered Christie Ridgways' Crush on You. I have about 15 on my to read list. Also recently received a Kobo reader and wonder if there is a chance of Fresh Fiction and the wonderful writers who are a part of Fresh Fiction if they are going to start offering ebooks as prizes? I am in Canada so ordering from Amazon (even with good prices) the shipping is the cost of the book or more...

I'm currently reading Toni Blake's SUGAR CREEK. Today I bought Jane Green's PROMISES TO KEEP and Grace Coopersmith's NANCY'S THEORY OF STYLE.

My TBR stack goes up much faster than it goes down.....sorta like my weight!!!

We just got back from a two week
vacation and I didn't read anything.
That is a first. My DH and I spent a lot
of time talking and we did a lot of
hiking - in 105 to 112 heat index heat
in Florida. It was fun, but we will head
that way in cooler months next time : )

I've been saving to read Wild Instinct by Sarah McCarty, but obsessive reader that I am I had to start with the first of the series. I just finished Ms. McCarty's Running Wild and just loved it. Its a very light paranormal centering around werewolf cousins and the mates they finally find.

Julie Anne Long's TO LOVE A THIEF is the most poignant story I've read in a long time, if not ever. Lily and Alice Masters are destitute after their mother's death. Gideon Cole is an ex-soldier who also lost his parents as a teenager with a sister and is now a brilliant barrister who has a Master Plan for his life, but no money. He spends his last 30 pounds to rescue Lily from a thief's fate. The smiles and chuckles the story-telling offers make this a very appealing book.

I spent two of the most wonderful days reading The Lady of the Butterflies by Fiona Mountain. It comes out in July and you just have to read it, everyone! It is such a wonderful not to be put down book rich in characters, the science of butterflies and the 17th century!
