Renee Pace | Angels they walk among us

blogfacebookfacebooktwitterwebsite

I'm a firm believer in angels. Why you might ask? Because I've faced death in the face and felt the comforting arms and whispered words in my mind, "It's going to be okay. This is not your time."

Now that might sound fictional but it's not. I was 16 on my way to pick up a friend to go skiing and hit black ice. I had the choice of the lake, the car coming head-on or the embankment. I turned the wheel fast and chose the embankment, which meant my car rolled three times and at one point I even remember it standing on end until it luckily landed on its wheels.

What did I learn? Life does flash before your eyes.

What else did I learn? Comfort. I felt the presence of three beings in the car cocoon me and honestly those whispered words I wrote above. To this day I truly believe one of those beings was my best friend Sissy, who died of cancer when she was 12. I'm not sure who the other two angels where but I truly felt their love. It was like their arms had wrapped around me to save me that day. I'm also sure the seatbelt had a lot to do with keeping me alive but even the driver who stopped and helped me out of the car couldn't believe I was alive.

I also had another recent experience with an angel. The day my grandmother fell and smashed her hip I knew she wasn't going to make it. Why? A few days before this event, while I was visiting her she told me grandpa (her husband who died over twenty years ago) visited her and she told him she'd see him soon. Normally when he visited her she told him to go away. I stayed with my grandmother for her last breath and honestly felt her soul leave her. It was an extremely moving and gifting experience. There was this warmth and feeling she was moving on to do more good in the world. I'm sure in my heart she's now an angel at work.

If you've had an angel experience I'd love to hear about it.

Re: Renee Pace | Angels they walk among us

I got goosebumps reading your post. I have not experienced
anything like what you describe but have always believed I was
watched over somehow.
(G. Bisbjerg 2:19pm March 24, 2013)

When my girls were younger,I was out taking a walk with them
and my mother. I was pushing my younger daughter in a
stroller and her older sister was trotting along just ahead
of us. At one point, she got spooked by a dog and took off -
right into the street. I reached for her, but felt her
clothes slip through my fingertips. She went right out into
the street, a car was coming and suddenly - it just stopped.
I don't know how the driver could have seen my daughter
because the sun was going down and she was just 2 years old
at the time, so she was small. But the driver just stopped
on a dime and I was able to get my daughter back to safety.
I always said an angel saved her that day. And now she's
getting ready to graduate from nursing school, so she will
be somebody else's angel soon.
(Margay Roberge 2:26pm March 24, 2013)

I truly believe that nurses are living, breathing angels.
(Margay Roberge 2:26pm March 24, 2013)

I haven't had such an experience but my husband did. When his mother was very ill and in the hospital he was in the waiting room and he swore he heard a voice telling she wanted to see him, he looked up to thank the nurse but no one was there. He hurried into her room. She opened her eyes just a little and said, "It's time. They are ready to take me home." She squeezed his hand closed her eyes and went to sleep, then she was gone. He is sure an angel was there so he could say goodbye. Yes there are angels all around us, we just have to believe.
(Annetta Sweetko 2:46pm March 24, 2013)

I, too, believe in angels even though I have not experienced them firsthand - others have had experiences and I so believe them.
(Felicia Ciaudelli 3:31pm March 24, 2013)

My 10 yr old Retriever just started having seizures, but she's on the mend. I believe that my late gran was watching over her. She loved the dogs.
(Terri Quick 3:40pm March 24, 2013)

I've had some dreams at difficult times, and I believe that they were angels. So I also know that they are real. =)
(Kathleen Conner 3:41pm March 24, 2013)

There are more things that are unexplainable and have not happened to me..but that doesn't mean I don't believe.
(Cate Sparks 3:57pm March 24, 2013)

Like you I believe in angels. For one thing when I was 21 I
hit a tree head on. Back then we didn't wear seat belts,
cars didn't have them or we just didn't use them. Someone
was with me that day because I came out of that car accident
with a broken are and dislocated shoulder. It did take a
year to over it because my arm was broken so bad and they
didn't think I would have normal use of it again, but I did.
(Gail Hurt 4:03pm March 24, 2013)

I got lost in a WhiteOut in Antartica and felt the presence of an angel help me find my way away from a hugh cravass that I would have probably fallen into and died. It was like some thing was pulling my away from the direction I was walking and told me to turn around and go the other way. I was freezing when I hear a truck and saw a flash of orange in the distance. I was found and brought back to base to thaw out.
(Diane McMahon 4:14pm March 24, 2013)

just can't remember if i had angel dreams, might take a few
weeks to think about that.
(Kent Cook 4:26pm March 24, 2013)

My mom had an out of body experience, but was brought back to
earth by unseen hands when she almost died. She talked about
a tunnel and a white light.
(Alyson Widen 4:36pm March 24, 2013)

I live in a nursing home and I think the nurses and aides come close to being angels. They are always here for us. But, I also think I am watched over by angels, although I've never interacted with them.
(Carol Woodruff 4:47pm March 24, 2013)

Have not had one! I am feeling left out!
(Nancy Ludvik 5:13pm March 24, 2013)

My Granddad have a similar experience. My grandmother died of cancer twenty years before he did. When he saw Grandma the first time since she passed away, he had mentioned that Grandma told him it was time to go. He was going with her but he had to sit to catch his breath. Ten years later, his conditioned has detiorated. He mentioned that Grandma came and he has to leave with her in a few days. He passed away within those few days, he mentioned. I guess Grandma was his guide to the other side.
(Kai Wong 5:25pm March 24, 2013)

No, I haven't. But it's hard not to believe in angels and goodness when you see babies giggling!
(May Pau 5:52pm March 24, 2013)

I believe in angels. I have never had an experience with one. Thanks for a chance to win your book.
(Linda Hall 5:55pm March 24, 2013)

(Jennifer Beck 6:17pm March 24, 2013)

I don't have any angel stories but my son is an angel on earth!
(Susan Coster 6:23pm March 24, 2013)

What a delightful story! I hope I do have an angel watching over me.
(Gladys Paradowski 6:31pm March 24, 2013)

Never had one :(
(Diane Pollock 6:40pm March 24, 2013)

What a fascinating experience! Thanks for sharing it. I too believe in angels. When my mother died I felt the presence of a comforting angel.
(Bonnie H 7:07pm March 24, 2013)

Never had an experience with an angel but I do believe they are watching over us!!
(Martha Lawson 8:47pm March 24, 2013)

When I was in 7th grade, my family moved my grandmother in
with us. Shortly after that, we discovered she had
Alzheimer's. In the morning before I went to school, I
always kissed her goodbye. But one day in the spring,
something told me that I needed to go back and tell her that
I loved her. I came home after school that day, and she was
gone. I've always been thankful that I went back that day,
and truly believe that someone above wanted her to know that
she was loved.
(Sara Doyle 9:04pm March 24, 2013)

I have not had an angel experience. But I absolutely believe that, like you, others have experienced these miracles. Love your story. Thanks for sharing.
(G S Moch 9:17pm March 24, 2013)

I haven't had an angel experience.
(Cheryl McEwen 9:54pm March 24, 2013)

Renee, I've not had a personal experience with angels, but I've had friends who have. It is a special experience and I thank you for sharing it with us...I hope when my time does come that a sweet angel will come and comfort me!
(Sandie White 10:14pm March 24, 2013)

When I was five years old ,I saw a ghost of a small girl . She kept telling me to be careful do not fall in to the pond. Later someone shown a picture of the girl to me ,saying she died after falling in to the pond. Maybe a Angel.??
(Deb Pelletier 10:21pm March 24, 2013)

I like to read accounts of angels because I believe in them, too. My husband once felt a strong jerk on the steering wheel preventing him from changing lanes into the path of a car that seemed to come out of nowhere.
(Cheryl Castings 10:25pm March 24, 2013)

Yes, I have had a close call when I lived in Tulsa, OK and a
guy in a Corvette was drinking and driving and shot through
the ditch and headed towards me and others on the major
freeway and I lost control of my car and saw myself flying
in the air like Dukes of Hazzard car and then next to guard
rail facing opposite direction. I did not know if I was
alive or dead and could only say; JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, and
then came out of it and ran to help out others in their cars
affected by the bad accident. So, Yes, I have God's Angels
watching over Me every step I make and take for sure. Praise
GOD always. Now, GOD is 1st in my Life for sure. Thanks,

(Cecilia Dunbar Hernandez 10:38pm March 24, 2013)

I had an experience where I took a fall and landed on my back. When I landed with a thud, the breath literally was knocked out of me. I recall seeing figures hovering above me, and I remember asking God to please let me live and give me another chance to come back and take care of all the loose ends, since I was needed so badly at home. Obviously, God saw things my way since I'm still here, but I did feel a sense of peace, if only for a moment, as those figures hovered above me, while I was on my back on the floor. As to the circumstances regarding me landing on my back, I would like to forget that chapter, but I have been trying to make things right where I can. I've always believed in angels, and know that they walk among us - not only beside us, but with us in our everyday lives!!
(Peggy Roberson 10:47pm March 24, 2013)

No Angel experiences here, but I do believe.
(Mary Preston 5:56am March 25, 2013)

I worked Hospice for a while and right before a person passes there is this moment of lucidity where they often see people in the room with them. In a few cases it was a bit frightning because they didn;t recognize the person, but was able to describe them to me. These encounters gave me the willies and I only hope it was their spouse at a much younger age and they just didn't expect that lol.
(Lizz Comer 7:00am March 25, 2013)

What an amazing story. Never had anything like that happen to me but have heard about the same thing Lizz C mentioned. And truly believe in angels watching over you and you may not even know they saved you from something bad.
(Pat Lieberman 7:54am March 25, 2013)

I believe in angels since we have someone watching over us and
your story was wonderful. I have had premonitions many times
in my life.
(Sharon Berger 10:19am March 25, 2013)

I believe in Angels. I know that they walk among us and are there in our times of need. From the wrong number from a stranger that lends a kind ear, or a "person" that disappears after they pulled you safely away from an accident (-which happened to my sister-in-law).
(Carla Carlson 11:08am March 25, 2013)

i believe in Angels, i've felt their presence
(Linda Meranda 11:12am March 25, 2013)

I am sure that I have had angel experiences, but I just don't recall details right now. (My memory isn't the greatest, and I'm sure the latest one was over ten years ago now.) I DO recall being with my aunt in the hospital when she took her dying breaths (some 20+ years ago), and I recall the peace I felt at the time, as if I wasn't alone in that room with her.
(Elaine Seymour 11:29am March 25, 2013)

My oldest dog started having seizures, but she's on the mend. I like to think that my late gran (who passed away last year) is looking out for her. She always loved the dogs.
(Terri Quick 12:54pm March 25, 2013)

i surely believe in angels or spirits like that, would be greatly happy to win your contests..it's great that you offer such stuff to your public..i would really love to read some of your works..thanks so much for thinking of us
(Kimberly Hoefs 6:20pm March 25, 2013)

I've always believed in angels, and especially after my younger sister told me how our father told her that the angels told him it was time to say, "Goodbye, and it's time for her to go back home." The following day he passed away. She never told him that she was leaving the next day. She'd travelled halfway across the U.S. to see him while he was sick with cancer, and had to be back to work after being off for a week. He then mentioned our uncle's name as if reading it, and said, "What are you doing here?" Unbeknownst to any of our family, our uncle had died a couple days earlier! We came to the conclusion, that maybe he'd seen our uncle in Heaven with the angels, prior to passing on himself.
I am anxious to read your book and love the cover.
(Linda Luinstra 7:01pm March 25, 2013)

I have an angel that looks over me everyday. An angel that blessed me with my family and friends.
(Lisa Fitzgibbons 8:17pm March 25, 2013)

I believe that angels are the ones who risk their lives everyday for the sake of
others, like soldiers and firefighters.
(Hyunjin Jeon 10:56pm March 25, 2013)

I do believe in angels, too. My "medical angel" telephoned me the day after I received a letter telling me that "I had an area of uncertain significance" after a second mammogram and a 2nd ultrsound. The doctor who wrote the letter asked that I return in six months and redo both tests.

Dr Richard K,a diagnostic radiologist, was headed on vacation the next afternoon; but wanted me to come in and he would personally do the tests over. Dr K saved me from an invasive cancer. Now four years later, the biopsy, surgery, radiation treatments, and anti-cancer meds have kept me cancer free. Had I waited the original six months my outcome could have been different.

Angels do live amongst us!!!
(Joanne Hicks 10:59pm March 25, 2013)

My 16 year old daughter is here because of an angel.
(Christine Didyk 11:46pm March 25, 2013)

While I have never experienced meeting an angel, I know people that
have and definitely believe in them.
(Kenna Todd 12:26pm March 26, 2013)

I had a dream that I would be driving and have a medical problem and someone would be with me in the car. I should let them know not to panic everything will be ok. I didn't know who though I told my family and close friends. About a week later I was driving and passed out at the wheel while the car was in motion on a hill with my young son and daughter in the car. The car started to roll down the hill my son grabbed the wheel and was able to guide it between two trees up the curb with the help of my angel no one was hurt.
(Deborah Garcia 3:04am March 26, 2013)

I would just like to say I have enough new material for a
dozen paranormal books. It's so nice to know so many of us
have these experiences. I'm a truly believer in life after
death - in ways we can't explain. Thanks again for dropping by
and sharing your stories - Renee Pace
(Renee Field 10:20am March 26, 2013)

I firmly believe in angels too. As a child I fell over 20 ft
out of a pine tree and didn't have scratch on me. Many times
I know I have felt a strange pull or resisted going
somewhere only to find a tornado had struck or a bad traffic
crash happened. Too many odd times I have cheated death not
to believe in someone looking out for me :)
(Margie Hall 10:56am March 26, 2013)

It is comforting to know that angels are looking out for us
(Jean Benedict 11:16am March 26, 2013)

I believe that angels watch over us and I have several special
ones that I know are on my side.
(Mary Hay 11:46am March 26, 2013)

I think unknown people are likely to help us and people may take them for angels. And luck will play a part in survival stories.

I love the idea of these girls hiding in plain sight by being in a band, and that the lead character has a mission other than "finding herself".

(Debbi Shaw 3:58pm March 26, 2013)

I believe in angels although I don't think I've ever seen one. However, when life's misfortunes threaten to overcome me, something always seems to happen to pull me out of the fire. Sometimes I wish the good fortune would happen a little earlier before the bad things start happening.
(Irene Menge 4:40pm March 26, 2013)

I would say I have an angel on my shoulder. I have survived 3 bouts of cancer and am lucky to be alive to see my son married this May.....
(Susan Coster 5:46pm March 26, 2013)

That's amazing. I think everyone has someone looking out for them.
(Chelsea Brooks 8:36pm March 26, 2013)

Thank you for making this contest available. Much success to you on the
