Re: Happily Bedded Bliss (10:09am March 10, 2016):

Sounds like a fun read!

Re: I Kissed a Rogue (10:04am March 10, 2016):

I want to read this! Sounds great!

Re: To Catch a Rake (12:34pm February 22, 2016):

Favorite characteristics of a rake: a sense of humor; the
ability to not take himself too seriously; a bit of
arrogance; and a heart ready to love the right lady.

Re: A Friendly Flirtation (12:29pm February 22, 2016):

Love how you met your husband! What a great story!

Re: The End of the World (12:06pm February 22, 2016):

I dream about the barns and outbuildings on the farm where
I grew up. We spent more time playing in and around them
than in the yard at our house! My sister and I had grand
adventures inventing stories as we played out there!

Re: Duke of Scandal (5:15pm October 22, 2015):

I think date the good boy and marry the good boy!

Re: Bones and Roses (12:14pm August 14, 2014):

I am always impressed by authors' stories of how they arrive
at their careers and how surviving the process makes them
better people and writers. And now with the option of indie
publishing it seems the process would be simpler. Thanks for
your insight into how it all "works."

Re: Her Summer with the Marine (10:00am March 19, 2014):

I do enjoy series - returning to the places and characters
that you enjoyed in previous books. It is a bit like
returning to a favorite spot where you feel comfortable and
relaxed!

Re: Songs of Shenandoah (9:48am January 10, 2014):

Some characters stay with you for a long time (years in some
cases) and others disappear as soon as the last page of the
book is finished. I don't know what it is that makes some
characters so memorable, but maybe it is a connection with
that character's personality and traits. The book (and
series) sound very interesting!

Re: Billionaire Blend (11:36am December 4, 2013):

The book sounds like a fun read.

Re: The Wedding Game (2:56pm November 25, 2013):

Absolutely no way! But it would be fun to read about the
pitfalls of someone who does!

Re: The Namesake (11:40am November 12, 2013):

Faith is an important part of who we are. Some people choose
to ignore this link to our Creator and deny that it exists.
The book sounds like a good read.

Re: Upon a Winter's Night (3:47pm November 6, 2013):

Hands down - my favorite part of Christmas is slowing down
from the usual pace and spending lots of time with family and
close friends!

Re: Behind the Shattered Glass (2:45pm October 17, 2013):

None of these options are desirable. I don't know which I
would choose - maybe an arranged marriage could be
satisfactory.

Re: Bran New Death (4:48pm September 19, 2013):

I love the titles of the books! Sounds like you are a very
busy writer - three series - WOW!

Re: How To Entice An Enchantress (12:15pm September 18, 2013):

The puppy is a close second, but I fear, I too, am a library
girl!

Re: Rugged Hearts (3:02pm July 24, 2013):

When it comes to a big influence in my life, I would say my
grandmother - who lived across the garden when I was growing
up. I spent lots of time at her house wathcing her cook,
sew, plant a garden, tend to animals (and humans)! She had
a very strong work ethic, which I have inherited, and I know
she greatly influenced the way I embrace (and sometimes
tackle) life!

Re: A Healing Heart (12:15pm May 22, 2013):

A Healing Heart sounds really interesting. I love to quilt,
and have made small quilts for family members. My busy
schedule limits my quilting time, but I keep a project going
most of the time.

Re: A Shot Of Sultry (2:51pm March 28, 2013):

The most romantic gift I have received is a cd of romantic
duets by a favorite artist. It was a Valentine gift, and I
know he really put some thought into what he was purchasing.
We will NOT talk about the Eskimo joe sweat pants he bought
another time....

Re: Shadows And Strongholds (12:55pm March 22, 2013):

I visited France several years ago. One of the things I
have always wanted to do is visit the castles in the Loire
river valley. It was a memorable experience and I loved the
beauty and architecture of the castles we visited. Getting
a glimpse into the lives of those who lived centuries
earlier was really amazing!

Re: When She Was Gone (4:14pm March 20, 2013):

I would describe home as my sanctuary, my place of quiet and
serenity. Recently I have been trying to re-define my idea of
home as we deal with the serious illness of a family member.
In the end, I think that home is family, loving, belonging and
acceptance of who we are.

Re: The Survivor (12:27pm March 5, 2013):

This is so interesting. Never even thought about an
opportunity like this for ordinary citizens!

I try to be aware of where I am and what's going on around
me. For instance, our local shopping mall is located on the
interstate that runs through our mid-size town. Though
rarely publicized, we hear through the grapevine of crimes
that occur there. I am always watchful while in the parking
lot there....

Re: Lord Of Darkness (12:15pm March 5, 2013):

I love this series and have been waiting for this book. The
series setting in a not-so-well-to-do area of London is
intriguing!

Re: The Eldritch Conspiracy (4:54pm February 12, 2013):

I think my mental image of the book is usually much better
than the screenplay that becomes the movie! Of course, there
are some movies from books that are awesome!

Re: The Autumn Bride (12:22pm January 31, 2013):

I don't belong to a book group. In fact, I don't even know
of any in my area. I do love to read. I have always made a
point to get up a little early so I can have a few minutes
of reading time, and I usually read at least a chapter or
two before going to sleep. I can't imagine my world without
books (or my kindle!).

Re: Deck the Halls With Love (12:47pm January 30, 2013):

Sometimes the best characters in a book are the "supporting
actors" those whose lives are not clearly outlined to the
reader. It always makes you wonder what molded and shaped
them as they matured and lived their lives. I think that's
why I love book series that provide an opportunity to learn
more about the secondary characters!

Re: Pride, Prejudice and the Perfect Match (12:31pm January 28, 2013):

I have never used personal or on-line ads since I have been
married for a very long time! But, I do have a friend who
placed a personal ad and met the guy of her dreams! I just
feel that meeting in-person (hopefully through mutual friends)
is the best way to get to know the real person!

Re: Real Men Don\'t Break Hearts (2:43pm January 23, 2013):

Love to hear that you create the back story for your
characters. I can imagine that makes writing about them so
much easier. The book sounds really interesting!

Re: Thread On Arrival (3:00pm January 15, 2013):

Thread on Arrival sounds really interesting! A tapestry, a
mystery, and maybe a treasure equals a good read.

Re: Waking Up With A Rake (12:36pm January 11, 2013):

This new series sounds interesting. Can't wait to read this
book and the next...

Re: Secret Santa Baby (11:59am December 27, 2012):

Books set during the Christmas season are a lot of fun! This
book sounds like one to add to my reading list!

Re: A Christmas Bride / Christmas Beau (11:13am November 27, 2012):

There is a special magic to the season of Christmas. Things
that seem impossible at other times can truly happen! I enjoy
reading your books!

Re: The Warrior (2:51pm November 1, 2012):

I have actually been to some old castles in Germany and
France and just love the feeling of history and untold
stories (or maybe that's just my over-active imagination!)
that radiate from the very walls.

There is something very emotional about a man who sings from
his heart, and to have a man sing with a Scots accent -
woooo!

Re: Conspiracy Of Angels (2:47pm October 31, 2012):

How can a book be successful without relationships? No one
would want to read a book with just action scenes! Any
dialogue between characters has to deal in some way with
their relationship, even if it is one of loathing. It is
funny about guys and the types of books they think they are
"supposed" to be reading!

Re: Mistletoe Cowboy (11:50am October 26, 2012):

A really good story makes me feel that the characters have
become friends. As much as I yearn to finish and get the
rest of the story, it's hard to say goodbye when I do!
I think that's why I love to read authors whose books have
characters from previous stories that weave their way
through the new story. It's kind of like having a visit
with an old friend.

Re: Night Thief (2:07pm October 25, 2012):

I think blending of true historical events and paranormal is a
great way to write!

Re: Sultry With A Twist (11:51am October 19, 2012):

I am constantly amazed at people who think they have a "right"
to know everything about someone else. I think if the tables
were turned and you asked that question back, they would be
offended! Your book sounds like a good read.

Re: Against His Will (10:49am October 8, 2012):

It really must be hard to create characters that are totally different from you. But, it sounds like you have it all figured out! Keep creating those interesting, infuriating (to you) characters!

Re: Boyfriend From Hell (1:02pm September 24, 2012):

Inspirtation for lots of things come from quirky encounters! I have sometimes crafted really interesting items because I "saw" something hidden in a piece of lumber or other natural elements!

Keep those ideas rolling!

Re: A Cup Full Of Midnight (5:21pm September 6, 2012):

It's cool that you mix real and imagined locations to suit the story line. Your description of the real restaurant scene is really neat.

Re: Treacherous Toys (5:13pm September 5, 2012):

Dreams are amazing things! Having a dream can keep you focused and pushing forward to see it come true! Wishing you success with your new book!

Re: Hearts Of Darkness (5:09pm August 9, 2012):

Sounds like a great book. I'll add it to my reading list.

Re: Wild Texas Rose (4:59pm August 6, 2012):

I have enjoyed every one of your books! And even though I live on the NORTH side of the Red River, I'll be looking forward to reading this one!

Re: Jesse (11:44am July 13, 2012):

I think I'll be adding these to my to-be-read list!

Re: Gwen's Ghost (12:09pm July 12, 2012):

It sounds like the two of you worked really well together! I love that the process involved a lot of humor!

Re: Miss Hillary Schools a Scoundrel (4:02pm February 28, 2012):

One of the biggest differences today is that school is now for all children, not just the privileged or elite!

Re: Darkest Highlander (2:45pm February 6, 2012):

I like a little magic - it adds a little spice to the story. I do prefer historical novels over contemporary, and I'm not really sure why!

Re: Chosen By Sin (2:29pm January 31, 2012):

I love to read and I love to read different genres. This book sounds very interesting!

Re: Touch Me (2:38pm January 30, 2012):

I like heroes who have a sense of humor! There's nothing like a quirky little smile and a twinkle in the eye!

Re: Scrumptious (1:05pm January 16, 2012):

I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I have worked as an office manager/administrative assistant for over 31 years! Maybe I'll figure it out soon....

Re: Lover's Leap (3:27pm December 29, 2011):

Your Eternity Springs books sound wonderful! I would love to read the whole series!

Re: Lady Seductress's Ball (3:41pm December 19, 2011):

My favorite cookie is biscotti or shortbread. I just like the fact that they're not quite as sweet as others! I love the thought of curling up next to the fireplace with a plate of cookies and a good book!

Re: Dreaming Of The Wolf (3:00pm December 8, 2011):

pesole - the quick way is with all canned goods: a can of chicken breast, a can of yellow hominy, a can of white hominy, a can of green chilies, a can of diced tomatoes. Throw in a little chicken bouillion, add water, and simmer. Serve with tortilla chips. Yum

Re: Darn Good Cowboy Christmas (12:21pm November 4, 2011):

Santa - I would like to have all my family live close enough to visit frequently! Or, lots of air miles so I can go visit those who live far away! p.s. please... NO snow this winter!

Re: Against The Storm (12:50pm October 17, 2011):

i admire people who are successful writers! Anytime I am asked to write an article or essay, I cannot stop editing - I write, remove, write some more. Eventually I finish, but I always think I might have done a better job! YOU do a great job! Love your books and can't wait for Against the Storm!

Re: Murder By Mocha (2:39pm September 20, 2011):

my favorite snack is something salty - like chex mix - or something (anything) bread-like! yum yum

Re: Red's Hot Cowboy (2:18pm August 24, 2011):

sounds like a fun book!

Re: Pleating for Mercy (12:55pm August 5, 2011):

My luxury for time is quilting and cross stitch and other crafts that allow tbe creative side of me to flourish! I just wish I had more time!

Re: The Full Moon Bride (5:11pm August 1, 2011):

Thank you for writing from your heart! I think that is so amazing!

Re: Magnificent Passage (2:47pm July 12, 2011):

Magnificent Passage sounds like a good read! I love your recent books and couldn't wait for each new book in the "Against" series to be published! I'm watching my local bookstore for this one!

Re: Loved By A Warrior (3:01pm July 6, 2011):

There is a myth/legend in the area where I grew up about a hill that rises from the meandering river and fields below and a "headless horseman" who appears in the dark of the moon! I'm sure that this legend had some basis in fact long ago, but the old abandoned road that winds up the
hill does look very spooky - even in broad daylight! There is also an old native American cemetery not far from the hill with it's own spooky stories!

Re: Shadow Of A Quarter Moon (5:00pm July 5, 2011):

I love to read historical novels. There are so many different locations and historical periods that can be used for a novel's setting. It is fascinating to me to read how an author takes those settings and uses them in their writing. The best stories take you back to that time and let you lose yourself in another place and time!

Re: Silver Girl (4:06pm June 21, 2011):

It sounds so lovely! I have always loved being near the ocean! It also sounds like there are some very wonderful places to explore and some fabulous places to eat!

Re: It Happened On Maple Street (12:44pm May 19, 2011):

Thank you for having the courage to tell your story! I think it's true that we all know women who have experienced domestic abuse. Letting them know they are not alone is a powerful thing!

Re: Wickedly Charming (3:01pm May 16, 2011):

I love the idea of "twisting" the fairy tale! I can't wait to read Wickedly Charming!

Re: Never A Gentleman (4:21pm April 26, 2011):

Eileen - I have already read Grace's story and I loved it! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book in the series. I am glad that Grace's hope for a real relationship with Diccan came true!

Re: The Shadow Guard (11:31am April 5, 2011):

I think it might be fun to meet one of the McKettricks from Linda Lael Miller's books. The kind of character who is tempered and honed by working hard on the land. But I also agree that the men from Stephanie Lauren's series would be very interesting, too!

Re: The Return Of Black Douglas (12:56pm April 1, 2011):

I have always been fascinated by anything about Scotland. One branch of my family actually came from Scotland, so I have a special interest about Scotland.

Re: A Lot Like Love (4:18pm March 24, 2011):

A good book, a glass of ice tea and some time on the glider in the shade on a sunny afternoon! Can't you just hear the birds, the crickets and bees buzzing around?

Re: Hummingbird Lake (12:01pm March 22, 2011):

I've always felt that writing is one of the hardest jobs out there - you write and rewrite and still have doubts if its the best you can do! And that is from my years of experience of editing and writing (and rewriting) items for my church's bulletins and newsletters! How I envy and cheer all you writers who do such a good job at your jobs!

Re: Angel Sister (11:26am March 18, 2011):

My mother had two sisters (though they were much older) and when they were together they also told wonderful stories of growing up in a small (very small) rural town in Oklahoma. I can see how stories like theirs could be an inspiration for an author. I will be adding this book to my list of "to reads".

Re: Emily And Einstein (12:22pm March 7, 2011):

Her name is Jordan

Re: Staying At Daisy's (12:02pm March 7, 2011):

I believe that the events in "real life" are frequently more unusual than anything in fiction!

Re: Scandal of the Year (10:15am March 4, 2011):

I loved both Wedding of the Season and Scandal of the Year.
I actually was able to read them back to back, which is great fun for me, as the reader. So, do you have more books planned in this series? (please, please?) I look forward to reading them if you do!

Re: Treasure Me (11:36am March 3, 2011):

I love books set in Scotland! This books sounds like a great read!

Re: A Light at Winter's End (12:10pm February 24, 2011):

I have not read any of Julia's contemporary romances, but I have read all of her historicals. I think I'll have to check out the contempary romances soon!

Re: Beneath The Night Tree (11:42am February 18, 2011):

I don't know that I was ever "in love" (probably more "in-like") before I met my husband, but I knew he was the one and we have been married 37 years!

Re: A Tiger In The Kitchen (3:24pm February 7, 2011):

pineappe tarts. Pineapple jam on a buttery cookie sounds scrumptious!

Re: At Hidden Falls (2:29pm January 25, 2011):

For as long as I can recall I have loved to read. When I was a child, i would wake up early (long before my mother would come to wake us for school) and read by whatever light was available. I can probably blame my extremely poor vision now on all those reading sessions in less than perfect light!

Re: The Best Laid Plans (11:10am January 24, 2011):

Sienna Post is Tru's best friend.

Re: Haunted Honeymoon (4:46pm December 27, 2010):

I love the continuity of a series! A series offers an opportunity to weave all those characters you come to know (and frequently love) into the lives of the characters in the future books. As a result they continue to exist and sometimes even play major roles in the new books!

Re: The Heir (12:44pm December 16, 2010):

I well remember the childhood night-time ritual of trying to fall asleep while watching the reflection of every car's headlights as they moved around the walls in the room I shared with my sister!I was never truly afraid of the dark because my true fear was - MICE! There were no mice in the house, but on the farm where I grew up, mice were in every barn, every grain silo, and I was convinced, just waiting to get me!

Re: Like Clockwork (5:19pm December 14, 2010):

I have never heard of "steampunk", but the book sounds very interesting.

Re: Second Chances (12:23pm December 1, 2010):

I have several friends whose "second chance" at romance was the best thing that ever happened to them. Maybe they were wiser, or maybe they just deserved to find happiness the second time around!

Re: One Touch of Scandal (12:20pm September 29, 2010):

It depends on the season... maybe a trip to the Garden Center at Lowe's for some new plants or a trip to the bookstore for a new release! Oh, and a stop by Sonic for a Route 44 diet coke!

Re: An Impartial Witness (11:39am September 27, 2010):

I read A Pale Horse when it was first released. I found it very interesting.

Re: The False Friend (11:36am September 27, 2010):

Bee Season

Re: The Bride's Necklace (11:30am September 27, 2010):

I bought and read The Bride's Neclace over the weekend - I loved it!

Re: Royal Blood (2:30pm September 7, 2010):

I love that you actually lived in London for a while - what a dream and what an opportunity for a writer!

Re: Warrior (2:21pm September 7, 2010):

It sounds like all your characters are strong! I imagine that you won't want to put the books down until you are finished!

Re: Crush On You (11:56am June 11, 2010):

I was doing chores in cut-offs and a t-shirt - he was hauling hay on my dad's farm.

Re: On Folly Beach (3:18pm May 18, 2010):

It's wonderful that you can pick up tidbits of information (local history, family stories, etc, and weave them into your writing. I think it is great that you can use those experiences to enrich your characters. I also love looking at family photos, both old and new!
