Merry is making a fresh start in small–town Autumn
Vale, New York, in the mansion she's inherited from her late
uncle, Melvin. The house is run–down and someone has
been digging giant holes on the grounds, but with its
restaurant–quality kitchen, the place has potential
for her new baking business. She even has her first
client—the local retirement home.
Unfortunately, Merry soon finds that quite a few
townsfolk
didn't like Uncle Mel, and she has inherited their enmity as
well as his home. Local baker Binny Turner and her crazy
brother, Tom, blame Melvin for their father's death, and Tom
may be the one vandalizing her land. But when Tom turns up
dead in one of the holes in her yard, Merry needs to prove
she had nothing to do with his death—or her new
muffin–making career may crumble before it starts...
I can't wait to read your books in all of your series!! I think the titles are very clever, and that's part of the reason that I'm drawn to your books to begin with. To show your witty side when coming up with titles for your books shows warmth, and invites the reader to see what you have to offer them. I'm sure that your books are just as clever as the titles, and I'm looking forward to reading them this Fall. Congratulations on your latest book, and on your upcoming series!! (Peggy Roberson 10:59am September 19, 2013)
Thanks so much, Peggy!! I have so much fun with the titles... Book 2 is going to be Muffin but Murder! (Victoria Hamilton 3:33pm September 19, 2013)
I love the titles of the books! Sounds like you are a very busy writer - three series - WOW! (Marguerite Guinn 4:48pm September 19, 2013)
A reading a good cozy mystery is just the perfect end to a busy day for me---and your books just scream cozy. I can't wait to see what you do with teapots. (Sue Farrell 5:08pm September 19, 2013)
I can't wait to read Bran New Death, it sounds like a good book. (Rita Wray 8:39pm September 19, 2013)
I absolutely LOVE this author and am so excited that she now has multiple series for me to enjoy! I started with her vintage kitchen series and was just lucky enough to win a copy of Bran New Death on a blog contest. I am eagerly awaiting my copy and will devour it as soon as it appears. Then I will have to be patient until Tempest in a Teapot comes out next June! If you haven't read her books, run, don't walk to your nearest bookstore and treat yourself to a wonderful read. This lady know how to write characters you relate to and fall in love with, while balancing the plot and mystery details to keep you guessing until the last page. A true gem of an author. (Maureen Hayes 12:04pm September 20, 2013)
I would find your juggling act very hard because I get completely immersed in my characters' lives and their surroundings and the forthcoming plot points. I have to finish one work and take a break, then start another. (Clare O'Beara 10:24am September 27, 2013)
Hey, all... thank you so much for commenting! I am currently writing book 4 of the Vintage Kitchen Mysteries, but did you know that Book 3, Freezer I'll Shoot, is coming November 5th? I'm so excited, and I'll be back at Fresh Fiction to blog! (Victoria Hamilton 11:06am September 30, 2013)
