Dear Readers – I want to tell you about a trilogy I am writing that will open your hearts to the beauty of long-lasting true love and to the joy of reading the bigger, family saga type story. My Outlaw Hearts trilogy begins with OUTLAW HEARTS (June 2015) followed by DO NOT FORSAKE ME (July 2015) and will end with LOVE’S SWEET REVENGE in September 2016. I feel there are not nearly enough books like mine on the market today, stories that cover 10 to 40 years and that encompass the settling of a Nation, filled with real American history and following one family that lives through the astounding growth of the greatest nation on earth.

The Outlaw Hearts trilogy follows a man from the days of pure lawlessness into the era of a more settled West that embraces law and order. It is written in my favorite genre of a sweeping family saga that follows one couple from their younger years through children and even grandchildren, and how the settling of the American West and its phenomenally rapid growth affects the lives of people who lived through it all. Above all, the stories are a family saga filled with tremendously powerful love, both between the hero and heroine but also the love of a father for his son and a mother for her husband and children – and how that love is balanced and fortified by life’s trials and challenges.

Jake Harkner starts out as a ruthless wanted man with a very tragic past that has molded him into a man who barely knows the meaning of love. He meets a woman through chance of fate (she shoots him!) who ends up being the person who changes his life (and his heart) and teaches Jake about true love and teaches him to love himself and to forgive himself for the one sin that haunts him constantly – the fact that he killed his own father. It was for good reason and he could hardly help it at the time, but it is still an ugly memory he must deal with. Jake’s childhood was something most children would never even live through, and as a very young boy he witnessed his father murder his mother and little brother.

In OUTLAW HEARTS Jake and Randy are constantly on the run, but love holds them together through some Wild West action and adventure and the dangers of a wanted man who is hunted not just by the law but by the very men he used to ride with. I wrote the book 22 years ago and always wanted to write a sequel. When Sourcebooks asked for one and offered to reissue OUTLAW HEARTS, I was thrilled! DO NOT FORSAKE ME poured right out of me – 600 manuscript pages – in about 4 months! I finished before I even received my contract! For all these years I have been in love with Jake Harkner and wanted to continue his story of love, forgiveness and redemption. By the time I finished DO NOT FORSAKE ME I knew a trilogy was in the making. I couldn’t leave these beloved characters because I’d been “living” with them for 26 years (story-wise). I wanted to follow them to Colorado, where they are headed at the end of Book #2. I am now about 250 pages into LOVE’S SWEET REVENGE, another heart- wrenching, realistic western that teaches about love, forgiveness, redemption, and what it’s like to live through the dramatic changes going on around your characters.

I promise all of you that OUTLAW HEARTS and DO NOT FORSAKE ME will take you on a journey you will not soon forget, and one that will leave you totally in love with Jake Harkner and anxious to read LOVE’S SWEET REVENGE! About OUTLAW HEARTS

United by chance, bound by fate, consumed by passion.

Miranda Hayes has lost everything—her family, her husband, her home. Orphaned and then widowed, desperate to find a safe haven, she sets out to cross a savage land alone… until chance brings her face- to-face with notorious gunslinger Jake Harkner.

Hunted by the law and haunted by a brutal past, Jake has spent a lifetime fighting for everything he has. He’s never known a moment’s kindness…until fate brings him to the one woman willing to reach past his harsh exterior to the man inside. He would die for her. He would kill for her. He will do whatever it takes to keep her his.

Spanning the dazzling West with its blazing deserts and booming gold towns, Jake and Miranda must struggle to endure every hardship that threatens to tear them apart. But the love of an outlaw comes with a price…and even their passion may not burn bright enough to conquer the coming darkness.

Re: Rosanne Bittner | The Sweeping Family Saga of The Outlaw Hearts Trilogy

I cannot name any one book but being from West Texas, I
always enjoy a Western and especially one with love for all
the family. My mother was from Colorado and always enjoyed
her Westerns. I have read and liked your books. Look forward
to reading your series.

(Marissa Yip-Young 5:51am June 18, 2015)

It is an older series but the American Bicentennial series by John Jakes was unforgettable.
(Linda Harrison 8:44am June 18, 2015)

I can't think of just one series - but I do love a series of books where I can get to know and grow with the characters. I guess it started WAY back wiith the Anne of Green Gables series, Nancy Drew Series, Trixie Belden series, and so on and so on. Your books sound like they'll be great.

I enjoy books with a western background, but do not have a favorite. In fact, I've been searching for a book like Outlaw Heart to add to those I've been reading lately. This series sounds like a winner.
(Anna Speed 12:07pm June 20, 2015)

One would be Gone With The Wind
(Nancy Luebke 12:31pm June 20, 2015)

I like the Cowboy Series by Leigh Greenwood. The men are hunky, the
romance is hot, and the plots pull you in. :)

I've always enjoyed any type of western or historical western themed books. My father did also. I have read many. One of my favorite authors is Jodi Thomas. I absolutely know I'd cherish having a copy of Outlaw Hearts! I do have Paradise Valley which I haven't read yet and really love the book cover.
(Linda Luinstra 4:26pm June 20, 2015)

There are several Regency family sagas with intriguing
family members and I also enjoy the McKettrick saga.
(Irene Menge 7:35pm June 20, 2015)

I love Robyn Carr's Virgin River & Grace Valley series, which have repetitive
characters & their families living in the same small town or area.
(Rachel Kerrinski 10:12pm June 20, 2015)

I enjoy anything to do with history. I love history in a book that tells a story. I love series because you get to follow the characters. Currently rereading Emily March's Eternity Springs series but if I have to pick my favorite family series, there is a tie. I like equally Debra Clopton's Mule Hollow series and the series that branches off and Janet Tronstad's series, Dry Creek. Both deal with small towns which is like having a large extended family.
(Melinda Marks 10:26pm June 20, 2015)

i like the sound of the way your book goes and then the cover sound like really great read
(Desiree Reilly 11:04pm June 20, 2015)

I'm with Cheryl, I LOVE the McKettrick series by Linda
Lael Miller. I love me some Susan Mallery and Lori
Foster. I couldn't read their work all day long! I'm also
just now getting into Anna DeStefano's work. She knows
how to make imperfect look perfect. Thank you for giving
us the opportunity to win. Have a great weekend!
