My amateur sleuth grew up much like I did, in a family of food-loving Italian Americans. By the age of eight, I was learning to cook at the elbow of my dear Aunt Mary, an experience I’ve treasured so much that I’ve lent it to the main character in my long-running series of culinary mysteries.

Clare Cosi may have been raised in her grandmother’s little Italian grocery, but she’s come a long way from making espressos in her nonna’s battered stovetop pot.

Now a master coffee roaster, Clare not only works with one of the best bean hunters in the business, she manages a century-old coffeehouse in one of New York’s most picturesque neighborhoods.

In many ways, Clare’s life is rich, unfortunately her bank account isn’t. At the start of BILLIONAIRE BLEND—just released in its brand new mass market paperback edition—Clare is trying to find the funds to overhaul her Greenwich Village shop’s aging façade when a car bomb explodes on the street outside.

Amid the fire and chaos, Clare comes to the aid of an anonymous customer, an intense young man who turns out to be billionaire tech whiz Eric Thorner.

Eric is so grateful to Clare for saving his life, and so impressed with her knowledge of coffee, that he pays for repairs to her landmark shop and hires her to create the most expensive blend on the planet. He also begins a subtle but relentless campaign to win her affections.

As Clare is pulled deeper into Eric’s world of antique limousines and high-tech luxuries; French champagne and private planes, she meets a number of suspicious staffers and cutthroat cronies.

Did one of Thorner’s prickly associates plant the car bomb to end Eric’s life? Clare isn’t so sure, especially when questions arise about Eric himself and an “accidental” death in his past. Could this accomplished young CEO be capable of murder?

To solve this case, Clare will use her ingenuity (and her recipes). By the end of the book, you’ll have taken a trip with Clare to an exclusive millionaire’s club, flown with her to a bohemian Paris neighborhood, visited some of the most intriguing coffee growing regions of the world—and uncovered the dark motives behind several murders.

Because this is a “culinary” mystery, you will also have over 20 fun recipes to try in your own kitchen, including a list of Clare’s secret off-the-menu coffeehouse drinks, as well as tasty foods enjoyed by the characters in the book.

Re: Cleo Coyle | Billion Dollar Brew and a Latte Cup Giveaway

I have wanted to read Billionaire Blend for the longest
time!! I had it written down on my TBR list, then my Father
got sick, and with everything else going on in my life, I
had to drop everything, and take care of matters at hand.
My Father passed away in late April, and I'm still not over
the shock, but am trying to get on with things. I have,
once again, put your book on my TBR list, and I can start
where it all began. I love when you come to Fresh Fiction,
to not only talk about your books, but to look at your
colorful covers, and to remind people like me, that I better
get on the bandwagon, and start reading your books!!
(Peggy Roberson 11:46am August 25, 2014)

I read the coffee house mysteries for awhile and really enjoyed them. I've missed the last few and have to get back in the swing. I love mysteries with entrepreneurs and Clare's coffee shop is so unique.
(Sandra Martin 12:38pm August 25, 2014)

I haven't read the coffee house books yet (there are so many
books beckoning to me), but they look like a delightful read.
(Deb Philippon 12:47pm August 25, 2014)

Thanks for the chance to win. Havven't read any, but will def be looking into them. Sounds like my kind of books :)
(Leah Maciel 3:45pm August 25, 2014)

Love your series! I'm behind but will gladly read Billionaire
Blend out of order if I win! LOL!
(Kathy Church 4:42pm August 25, 2014)

Cleo, I really love your recipes. I love baking and cooking and look forward to adding these to my recipe collection. I have always enjoyed sharing them with my relatives after trying them out myself. I also love reading very much. I plan to read all of your books. I enjoy reading everything about authors on Fresh Fiction, and feel it's a great way to get to know you personally!
(Linda Luinstra 4:50pm August 25, 2014)

Oh how I wish I could cook. I just never grew up cooking so I
don't like it nor do it. But coffee, who doesn't love coffee?
Any way, shape, or form gotta love it! Congrats on the new
book too!
(Vicki Hancock 4:50pm August 25, 2014)

Love the recipes!! Thanks for posting contest. Nothing better than reading a
good book with a cup of coffee
(Marygrace Monteleone 5:15pm August 25, 2014)

These are fun mysteries. And the recipes are wonderful...think I'll go check some out now. Thanks for the post and giveaway.
(G S Moch 5:24pm August 25, 2014)

One of my favorite series. Thanks for all the recioes.
(Mary C 6:56pm August 25, 2014)

I'm looking forward to reading the book and checking out the recipes.
(Rita Wray 6:58pm August 25, 2014)

I love all the delicious recipes that you post on your blog
and Pinterest. Thanks for the title check list.
(Gayle Cochrane 10:58pm August 25, 2014)

Like you, I have grown up cooking at the feet of my
Grandmother, great grandmother and mom. You may have been
with your Aunt but I know you have wonderful memories and
recipes that will last a life time. My mother has a picture
of myself with biscuits going up my arm from my first
cooking experience at the age of 2. I have been cooking
since and my kids just didn't get that gene. However, my
grandkids do have it and my love of cooking has been shared
with them. My love of reading did pass to my children and
some level has passed to the grandkids. I have enjoyed your
recipes and made several with my granddaughter. Thank you
for the ability to pass your recipes to her. Also thank you
for the book.
(Tina Ullrich 12:28pm August 26, 2014)

Now I really have to read Billionaire Blend. Sub-fusc
billionaire sugardaddies add a creepy frisson to anything.
(Mary Ann Dimand 8:25am August 26, 2014)

I am looking forward to reading Billionaire Blend. I love your
books and your recipes.
(Lisa Hagenbucher 8:43am August 26, 2014)

Love you books and love coffee!!
(Judith Juhl 9:06am August 26, 2014)

A friend introduced me to your books a long time ago and we have been
enjoying them, and the recipes, ever since. My grandmother and mother were
both great cooks, but very different in their approach. I was lucky enough to
learn from both of them. I collect recipes and cookbooks like my mom did and
love to try new things and techniques, but I also like to go off on my own and
wing it like my grandma did, adding a pinch of this and that. I enjoy your recipes
on Mystery Lovers' Kitchen because they are delicious and low-fat!
(Sally Schmidt 9:59am August 26, 2014)

Billionaire Blend would be a delight. Cooking and baking is a
tradition in our family. My grandmother's expertise was
renowned and we try to duplicate all of her delectable
recipes.
(Sharon Berger 10:00am August 26, 2014)

There is nothing like sitting and reading a good book and drinking a nice cup of coffee! Life is good!!!!
(Bonnie Capuano 10:01am August 26, 2014)

Love, love, love your books. I can smell the coffee, taste the food, and walk the streets of NYC along with Claire. What a fun series and I look forward to each and every book and the "next chapter" in Claire's life. Hope the ride, or should I say "read", doesn't end anytime soon!! Thanks, Cleo, for bringing so much excitement and fun to the page.
(Linda Blalock 10:12am August 26, 2014)

I'm loving this! The way your book sounds I mean. I just love
the thrill! And if there's coffee involved - bingo!
(Irma Jurejevèiè 10:48am August 26, 2014)

It's been ages since I read a mystery but this just sounds
like a blast. Might be my coffee addiction talking there... ;)

I really loved the books and had pre ordered the one that was supposed to be published on my birthday in 2012 from Borders. Two big disappointments, no book and the closing of bookstores. I am waiting patiently but thought I should ask for myself and your other fans, please publish more soon. Thanks!

I discovered the coffee house mystery series when I read Holiday Grind, and I was hooked. Since then I added all Clare Cosi's adventures to my library. Whenever a new book is announced to be released, my family knows it is the number one item on my birthday or Christmas list. I enjoy nothing better than sitting with my cup of coffee, and reading about Clare, Mike, Madame, Matt, Joy and the Barista's at the Village Blend. A great mystery and a great cup of coffee, what could be better?
(Chris Brander 8:58am August 27, 2014)

Absolutely love the Clare Cosi and the rest of the gang. I always look forward to each new Coffeehouse Newsletter as well. Java Joy!

Love getting your Coffeehouse Newsletter each time and this time it also gives me a chance to win the Italian coffee cup too. Yes, you have great contests, Cleo and Mark. I want to congratulate you on such great standings on the book sales, and I am sure that CD sales will be great too, at least from our family where we buy a lot of CD's. Thank you for being an author for the people; someone we feel that is a friend of ours which makes us want to read your books and your online pages even more. Keep up the great work; excited to read the next book but winning a copy would be fabulous of course, but I know I am not alone with that wish. :)
Thank you so much and congratulations once again.
You deserve all the praise and honors that you get for all of your hard work.

Take care.

(Crystal Blackburn 12:14pm August 27, 2014)

Have been baking and reading mystery novels (Nancy Drew) since I stood at my granmother's side learning to make apple pie and many other wonderful comfort foods at age 10. I'm now 64 and am so pleased to find Coffee House Mysterys. I can tell you really love what you do and write from what you know which makes all the difference and brings the ring of truth to your stories. I'll keep on reading (I have your book list at home)and enjoy seeing how each character's emotions and personality evolve through each book. Best of luck with the new book, it sounds wonderful!
(Jennifer Jackson 12:16pm August 27, 2014)

Sitting down with a hot cup of coffee, reading your coffeehouse newletter and pretending Hugh Jackman is across the table. Could not get much better.
(MaryEllen Hanneman 12:27pm August 27, 2014)

The only thing better than drinking a hot cup of coffee with the coffeehouse newsletter in front of one is sitting down with the latest coffeehouse mystery and having someone else bring you refills while you finish it.
(Maggie Newman 1:05pm August 27, 2014)

I can't wait to read it! And I love reading your Coffeehouse newsletter too.

having read your books, I feel I have a decent headstart on
becoming a great barista!

NYC while living in the country. But mostyly I enjoy a good
story and I've enjoyed them all.
(Fain Webb 6:08pm August 28, 2014)

I just finished Billionaire Blend last night! What a great read...but I won't be
a spoiler. How do you feel this peach muffin recipe would work using either
dried peaches or peaches canned in juice, well-drained and patted dry?

I always look forward to your newsletter for recipes. I just love trying the recipes.
(Kai Wong 12:47pm August 29, 2014)

I have read them all! My husband has read them all! I can't have my coffee in the morning without thinking of you! I've already pre-ordered the next book! Thank you! Your stories are ...wow...I can't think of one word to describe them...other than WHEN you start the book, you'd better have enough time to read it in one sitting, because you can't put it down!
(Mary Slocum 4:17pm September 4, 2014)

I love coffee, cats, and cozy mysteries. I think I have two in the series.
