Re: Billionaire Blend (11:21am August 27, 2014):

Love your website, books and recipes.

Re: The Outlaw Knight (6:27pm September 27, 2013):

Love what I've read by this author.

Re: The Shadowy Horses (10:42am October 12, 2012):

Dianna Gabaldon springs to mind for me too, in terms of a Scottish accent. Love her Outlander series. Love everything I've read thus far of Kearsley's novels, particularly The Winter Sea. Would love to win this one.

Re: Her Highness, The Traitor (11:02am June 1, 2012):

I've been wanting to read this author for some time now. This sounds like a good place to start.

Re: The Courtesan's Lover (12:36pm May 17, 2012):

I've read several reviews now and would like to read this book.

Re: Mariana (9:35am April 12, 2012):

I prefer an original rendition, too...but there have been times when I was reading a story set in the '70's/80's/90's and just couldn't appreciate complications caused by a lack of instant communication...unless it was set in a mountain cabin, or some off-the-grid setting. Somehow makes for a slower read.

As for reworking passages, I'd think you could drive yourself nuts, in pursuit of perfection. If there's nothing disastrous, I'd let it be.

I'd never change the content of a story.

LOVED Winter Sea and The Rose Garden.

Re: A Light On The Veranda (10:08am April 1, 2012):

The setting may be secondary to characters and plot but it can add another layer to the story.

Re: Texas Baby Sanctuary (1:14pm March 27, 2012):

I was born in Texas but haven't been back since I was a toddler. Love to read about it, fiction or otherwise.

Re: Clobbered By Camembert (3:05pm February 25, 2012):

Clever titles. I'd love to read one.

Re: Under a Desert Sky (1:46pm June 19, 2011):

Happily ever after is when you never cease having pop-up moments of realization that this really IS a good thing.

Re: Dirty (10:29am May 22, 2011):

I've read several self-published books, some really well written, some in serious need of editing. Good or bad, it always strikes me that a determined writer can come up with a really interesting tale.

Re: My Favorite Countess (12:07pm April 28, 2011):

Hate 'em.

Re: The Irish Princess (5:44pm February 1, 2011):

I've seen movies concerning the love/hate relationship between the Irish and the English but never read such a novel. Truly can't wait for this.

Re: Haunting Jasmine (9:37am January 30, 2011):

I've never failed to love a tale in which a bookstore serves as main setting.

Re: Eternal Prey (11:51am January 26, 2011):

My favorite heroes are those in MM Kaye's novels...but more currently, I love Brisbane in Deanna Raybourn's Lady Julia series.

Re: Against The Wind (10:07am January 4, 2011):

I love reading serial fiction, often more curious about prequels than sequels.

Re: The Winter Sea (9:31pm December 20, 2010):

Interesting view of your process; sounds like a great read.

Re: The Forever Queen (2:45pm November 12, 2010):

This book is right up my alley!
