Dont quit being a writer. Its awesome to have found what you are good at and love doing.

At the end of a day I would want to be doing something in the non-famous side of entertainment.

May seem strange but I want to be a ghost hunter.have you seen there show on syfy.I would love to be one of the taps team.I live in a few house whit ghost so I'm not afraid.I would love to be a writer to but i do not have the talent your lucky you do go luck whit your nect book.

Stacey, book 2 (Waking Evil) has a tiny supernatural aspect to it and I LOVED that research. Very intriguing!

Sandy and Diane, retirement does sound good some days. But mostly I'd just like to retire from one of my jobs and write full time. A bookstore--now why didn't I think of that????

Ooh I have always wanted to be an Assistant to an author...proofreading, research and typing the manuscript. I also think that owning a bookstore who be great...must play the lottery!

I'd like to retire and spend my days reading and rescuing cats. Reading with cats on my lap is the perfect end to any kind of day for me!

I always thought I'd like to have a little used book store. I could sit behind the counter and read or work on my craft projects. I could sell homemade bookmarks and other related reading items. There could be a corner especially for children so my grandkids could spend some time there with me. And I could have a place for people to form a book club or just sit and visit.

Sarah and Breia, I think you're both on the right track! That's something I'd love doing when I retire from teaching (but still writing). Being a reviewer would give me a reason to *have* to make time for reading again!

I'm currently a homemaker and part time reviewer. If I could have any job in the world, I'd want to be a proofreader. I'd even do it for free as long as I got the final copy of the book in the end. Of course, I'd want the book signed by the author as well. Have a great day.

At the end of a bad day, I just want to either win the lottery or marry someone rich! Most days, it would be a job where I never deal with the public again! But owning a bookstore of my own or working in a large (like a university) library would also be my ideal!

Roberta, you're hired :) My pet peeve at galley stage is seeing all the word repeats I have--drives me crazy that I missed them in copy edits!

Kelli--I'll admit it...I spend my share of time dreaming of the lottery. Now if I could just remember to buy the tickets...!

Remember! You just have to... I would tell you to listen for ringing bells but I think that for when angels get their wings. I know that I get my best ideas reading, dreaming and even day dreaming. Sometimes I make up random words just so that I have something to write.

At the end of the day I think being a lottery winner, and having someone to do the cooking and cleaning for me so I can sit home and read to my heart's delight sounds like a great job!

My closer reality would be getting back into a classroom and influencing the little minds of today, into becoming great minds of tomorrow. Each year when the new school year starts up again, and I work on updating curriculum for my staff I realize how much fun I'm not having working as an administrator instead of in a classroom.

Tabatha, when I'm stuck it often helps me to get out and walk. I walk four miles a day several times a week and rarely do I take my iPod. It's my time to think through plot snarls and smooth out the next scene.

Donna-we stopped at the info desk in the Reagan airport and the man there had his dog with him. We were surprised and asked how he got away with that. He said simply, "I never asked permission." LOL!

Sandi, my other job is teaching so August is approaching a little too fast for me! But I'm a handful of years a way from qualifying for early retirement and I wonder if I'm going to be able to walk away from it....

When I'm at the end of a really frustrating day I think of how nice to be a teacher But only during the summer months.... as during the school year I know I could never do their job and am willing to stay with my tired feet and frustrated mind as a nurse.....

What a neat question you ask. I don't even know the title but after a difficult day at work I dream about being one of those people who work "undercover-like" checking out all of the services of a hotel as well as evaluating all aspects of their hotel stay. I understand that it is a real job. Just imagine having the responsibility of thoroughly indulging in room service, the gym area, spa and massage services. Am certain I could be very dedicated to my job. Of course, there wouldn't be any real downtime...evenings I would be diligently eating meals from the different restaurants of the hotel. Truly, I would suffer all of that without complaint.

It's been a crazy house here for the past two weeks.Number 2 daughter got married and the day before we had to move the cermony to the house becuse my husband hurt his back and he's handicap to begin with. Thank goodness my house was clean.Number 1 daughter was here for 10 days with her 2 youngest from NJ. They lefy tis afternoon to go to SeaWorld for a few days before flying home. I' ready to sit back and relax with a good book.

When I have a bad day, I think about
retiring. I have no benefits, so retire
sort of means quit. I really like my job
(children's librarian) but I plan
programs and no one shows up. We
have all tried everything we can think
of to improve attendance, but so far
no luck. I would really like to stay
home and get this mess of a house
straightened and work in my garden.
We've been renovating since 1992 and
have been moving boxes and furniture
around forever. You kind of get used
to the mess. If I stopped working,
though, I would really miss the kids.
