Re: Ice Cold (2:40pm July 13, 2010):

Liked the new show a lot, especially love Angie Harmon. This book sounds like an all nighter. Keep up the good work.

Re: Hidden Wives (9:24am June 26, 2010):

Hi Sara I just finished new book "The Kitchen House" by Kathleen Grissom. It was a BD gift, about the south when there were slaves/servants, etc. I was not thrilled at first but story was wonderful & I couldnt put it down. Way better than current bestseller "The Help" which takes places later in history. Anyway, my point is that sometimes the book you don't think you'll like is the best one. I am always open to new reading adventures.Keep up the good work & happy summer reading.

Re: Death Threads (7:28am June 14, 2010):

Absolutely love the cover & title of your book. Sounds like an enjoyable cozy read that will keep me guessing. Keep up the good work.

Re: Hasta La Vista, Lola! (12:52pm January 29, 2010):

Love the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. Not just romance & mystery but funny as well. Hasta la Vista Lola sounds like a fun enjoyable read too.

Re: Final Approach (2:38pm October 30, 2009):

A local dentist is collecting unwanted trick or treat candy to donate to children in Haiti. Thought that was a good idea.

Re: Santa Honey (1:33pm October 23, 2009):

Thanks for enlightening me, I hate to see misjustice like that. I personally only use reputable sites and bookstores.

Re: My Wicked Vampire (1:54pm October 20, 2009):

I personally think your Dresden Files scene (w/the frozen turkey)is very funny. The recession, job losses, buget making are all depressing. I find myself loving humor more now than ever. I want to be entertained and love to laugh. Think that is actually harder to write books w/humor.

Re: The Trials Of The Honorable F. Darcy (2:18pm October 15, 2009):

I love Elizabeth & Darcy in P&P too. It's a grand escape to read Jane Austen's work. That is why they are all so popular & updated today. No recession or job losses, depressing news.

Re: The Promise (3:09pm October 11, 2009):

I'll read a few chapters of a book & if I'm not terribly fond of it, pass it on. Our town has a huge used book sale that benefits the local food bank. Every Oct. I make a donation to that as well. I have fave authors but am always open to new views. Michigan winters are long & cold & snowy. Takes a lot of books to keep me busy during winter.

Re: The Splendor Falls (2:24pm September 11, 2009):

In Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, the bounty hunter, Stephanie is always pigging out, a true junk food junkie. The food joints are mentioned in almost every chase. Even Stephanie's boyfriend, Joe & her family have big old fashioned dinners together.

Re: Babydoll (1:22pm August 4, 2009):

I'm afraid all my answers to the quiz were "c"s. No way could we work together. I do admire those who can. We work together well doing lawn work or gardening. Also travelling. I'm always better at following road signs & will ask for directions.

Re: It Happened One Night (2:16pm July 31, 2009):

I find nature to be inspiring. Flowers, a beautiful lake, birds singing, green grass, quiet solitude always get me going. Simple things like puppies playing,a baby smiling, friends laughing, old couple holding hands melt my heart too. The clean, fresh smell of rain is awesome too.

Re: The Diva Takes The Cake (12:45pm July 23, 2009):

Hi Krista "The Diva Takes the Cake" sound funny & mysterious too. Your blog is too. Keep up the good work.

Re: Waking Nightmare (1:17pm July 22, 2009):

I'd like to work in a flower shop or nursery where I could bring my dog & not have to get dressed up. Very laid back.

Re: Swimsuit (1:33pm July 17, 2009):

Have been a long time fan of James Patterson since "Jack & Jill". I did read "your" Women's Club book, Maxine & loved it too. I also read Patterson's non-crime fiction & couldn't believe it was the same writer. I think you are comfortable enough in your own skin to know what works best for you. You set a wonderful example for women everywhere.

Re: Object of Desire (7:47am July 9, 2009):

"Object of Desire" sounds like a good read. Could use an escape from the economy & news. I have always loved the name Devon.

Re: The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society (2:39pm July 5, 2009):

"Finger Lickin Fifteen" by Janet Evanovich the brand new Stephanie Plum adventure. Was the same old rehashed, not funny anymore story. Used to love the Stephanie Plum books but author has lost her magic touch. I also hated the Da Vinci Code. Have to chuckle to myself when I see it for sale on several yard sale tables. I also will only buy John Grisham books at yard sales. His last couple weren't that great.

Re: Everywhere She Turns (2:31pm July 5, 2009):

To keep our independence from debt and be healthier our family has given up soda (drink water & Kool Aid, expensive snacks (we love pop corn) and eat at home more often. We still buy books but at yard sales or buy new at discount & trade w/neighboring book lover. We also rent movies at Red Box for $1 once a week instead of close to $5 at Blockbuster. To save money on gas we combine errands & hit food store sales that are in close proximity to each other.

Re: Dial Emmy For Murder (3:01pm June 21, 2009):

I like to think about what I'm reading. Following the clues to figure out who did it or who can't be trusted. I think w/a partner we are getting the best of both worlds. A male & female view.

Re: Wild Heat (1:33pm April 30, 2009):

Loved reading your story, Bella. Happy for you that you are following your dreams. Sounds like a good book. Loved the cover too.
