I celebrate our anniversary,and our birthdays. Not much else except we make time to just have fun sometime during the summer every year, just us and the kids.

I never really thought about it. Most stories that bring it up say that the mother can't change until she gives birth.

If you can do all that ith historicals why can't you do it with contemporaries also?
I remember hearing about pirates inthe news not too long ago, and there are still girls who are forced into marriages. I say go for it, sounds like an awesome idea.
