Re: Italian Affair (8:55pm August 10, 2013):

You were named after Anne of Green Gables? How lovely! Another
Anne, Anne Lamott, writes books that impact me
emotionally...that I think about long after I read them. I'd
say Margaret Atwood too.

Re: Sweet Revenge (9:46pm June 4, 2013):

Jack sounds like he's more than just a little "rough around
the edges"! LOL. I have mixed feelings about it. I used to
always joke that I liked my men "big and stupid"--the rough
around the edges guys; but, now I have more appreciation for
the refined, gentle sorts. I like to mix it up in my reading.

Re: The Secret Life of Lady Julia (7:44pm May 27, 2013):

Danny Kaye was a great Walter Mitty! I do have a secret
fantasy life...but if I told you, I'd have to kill you (only
kidding).

Re: Night Demon (9:08pm April 14, 2013):

I giggled at the question. I always used to joke that I liked
my fellas big and dumb...jocks, really, who'd been hit in the
head one too many times. Now that I'm older, I find smart men
very appealing. The biggest sex organ is the brain!

Re: Scorned Justice (9:17pm February 23, 2013):

I'm also a big fan of Once Upon a Time!
Kill Bill is probably the most compelling revenge movie(s) I know.

Re: The Moses Quilt (7:15pm February 16, 2013):

Learning about the past can help us to avoid present and future mistakes. In hindsight, some events and actions and decisions just seem SO wrong, but sometimes it's difficult to avoid those same pitfalls in the present.

Re: A Little Bit Wicked (10:01am December 29, 2012):

I always start the new year with the best of intentions. This year, I have to get more organized at work and finally decide if I'm going to go for another (and terminal) degree.

Re: Fallen Angel (9:52am December 29, 2012):

Time traveling romance? Interesting!
I am grateful for my hubby, our good health, and my good job. I love being a librarian!

Re: Holiday in Crimson (10:34pm November 24, 2012):

Like you (and Shelby), my husband and I had collected an electic array of ornaments over the past 25+ years. Those were added to ornaments that I had from childhood, many of them made by me. BUT, in April, we had a shed fire that destroyed EVERY single holiday item we owned--2 trees, lights, stockings, Christmas cards, ornaments, wreaths, etc. A lot of our traditions were wrapped up in those "things." Fortunately, we will still enjoy watching our favorite Christmas movie together--The Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant.

Re: Heart of Danger (10:39pm November 10, 2012):

I enjoyed reading World War Z and I watch Revolution (which is filmed in my area). Apocalypse stories with viruses are the ones that grip me...because I just KNOW it could happen. I think back to Stephen King's The Stand...

Re: What The Cat Saw (10:34pm November 10, 2012):

I wish I could know what my cats are thinking. I can generally figure out feed me, pet me, or STOP TOUCHING ME, but the rest is a major mystery...LOL.

Re: The Warrior (10:46pm November 1, 2012):

Love the cover. It's very appealing.

Re: Secrets Of A Wedding Night (7:52pm September 28, 2012):

I've never even heard of faro! Is it still played today?? I do like a smart hero. While I often joke about liking "big and stupid," I couldn't have my HEA with someone who wasn't smart in at least some way.

Re: The Curse (8:42am September 16, 2012):

As a librarian, I have a large number of autographed hard copy books--they're keepers for me. I also have a Kindle.

Re: A Lady And Her Magic (8:41pm September 14, 2012):

Mine was named Timmy. He was a stuffed monkey with a striped shirt and sneakers. He was my love monkey!

Re: One Wrong Move (6:17pm September 12, 2012):

Thanks for the HOT, HOT, HOT excerpt. Can I assume that Nina will ultimately say YES to Alex??? He promises a very good time....

Re: In Rides Trouble (8:36pm September 7, 2012):

A "sleepy yellow Labrador retriever"? How sweet! I hope that he's a wonderfully faithful writing companion.

Re: A Place Beyond Courage (8:33pm September 7, 2012):

Elizabeth is a "new to me" author but A Place Beyond Courage sounds terrific. I look forward to reading it.

Re: Blame It On Texas (9:42am August 26, 2012):

Strip Scrabble? That sounds like my kind of game. How have I never thought of that? Break out the letters!

Re: In the Line of Duty (9:36am August 26, 2012):

I haven't read any in the series. How interesting that In the Line of Duty turned out to be a HER instead of a HIM. I think it's so interesting when authors talk about how the characters make things happen.

Re: Bruja Brouhaha (10:05pm August 24, 2012):

I like the "she(we)" experiences! Makes you sound a bit schizophrenic....which I think many authors must be, LOL.

Re: Wrong Bed, Right Guy (10:27pm August 11, 2012):

I haven't heard of the Brazen line. Sounds great...and I love the premise of Wrong Bed, Right Guy.

Re: Hell On Wheels (8:15pm August 10, 2012):

I love the covers and the excerpt is very sexy! Thanks for sharing.

Re: Hearts Of Darkness (7:55pm August 9, 2012):

I like Assam tea, too. And I love the phrase, "wee heroine-in-training." Every women deserves to be heroine in her own romance novel!

Re: Scotsmen Prefer Blondes (10:22pm July 21, 2012):

I'm scratching my head here. I'm fairly new to romance and have been reading mostly contemporaries. Of course, I have read classic Regency-period fiction from Jane Austen, Shelley, Sir Walter Scott, etc. What are some of your favorite Regency romances?

Re: Four Sisters, All Queens (9:48am July 14, 2012):

What a great history lesson. I love learning things like this.

Re: Jesse (2:02pm July 13, 2012):

I love your description of Lacy's little pink Stetson and cowgirl boots! Precious.

Re: The Princess and the Outlaw (9:23pm July 1, 2012):

I'm assuming Sea Mary is a spammer? Weird!
I don't think I've had a lot of magic lately. I am going out on a boat for a couple of hours tomorrow...on a river. That will be fun...and hot!

Re: Wicked Nights (11:04pm June 29, 2012):

I must admit that Harry Potter grabbed me right from the start...The Boy who Lived. I was hooked beginning to end.

Re: Starlight (4:05pm June 25, 2012):

#1: Polly; #2: the Weavers Union; #3: a church; #4: Alex; #5: Harvard; #6: Polly's father.

What fun.

Re: Into The Darkest Corner (4:04pm June 24, 2012):

I don't belong to a book club. I enjoy the solitary nature of reading.

The blurb on your book is frightening. How awful for Cathy.

Re: Sins Of The Angels (3:58pm June 24, 2012):

Your 4 reasons to be a writer sound great, especially the Mwahahahahah...You've got that sinister world domination laugh going on!

Re: No Ordinary Sheriff (12:54pm June 17, 2012):

Your new dogsledder sounds a lot like your rancher...LOL. Doing good for kids and getting pressure to sell the land. Sounds like a continuation of a successful theme. They sound good!

Re: Undead And Unstable (8:36pm June 15, 2012):

I love your posting! I'm lucky that my day job is not a SDJ!
If being UNDEAD is not bad enough, being UNDEAD and UNSTABLE must really stink...

Re: Joy Ride (6:31pm June 10, 2012):

I'm a librarian, so, of course, I believe in the centrality of books. I'm glad that you had positive interactions with books in childhood. Those experiences make a lifelong impact. If I had one wish, it would be that every child be exposed to books and reading.

Re: Her Highness, The Traitor (3:08pm June 1, 2012):

Interesting...What was your research process like? I appreciate, as a librarian, that you tried to stick closely to the known facts.

Re: The Rebel Rancher (8:15pm May 26, 2012):

Donna...I'm sorry for your loss and the loss that your family suffered. It does sound like the family had some precious time to be together. It sounds like you channeled a lot of emotional energy into Ty.

Re: A Gentleman Says "I Do" (12:00pm May 25, 2012):

Catalina sounds like a great heroine...and who doesn't love a great revenge plot?!

Re: Where There's Smoke (11:54am May 25, 2012):

The description sounds delicious!

Re: The Reason Is You (9:32pm May 21, 2012):

I, too, love the tease and the seduction...the lead up to the sex. That's why most writers write romance books for women, not men! LOL.

Re: Deadly Secrets, Loving Lies (10:49pm May 18, 2012):

Joss Whedon! He's my hero. Although, I could make a delicious case for Captain America or Iron Man. Robert Downey is in my town these days filming Iron Man 3.

Re: The Courtesan's Lover (11:32pm May 17, 2012):

I'm new to romance & erotica and I admit that I have not read any courtesan books. Sounds fun!

Re: Night Walker (10:21pm May 16, 2012):

I love Australian accents! I kinda swoon. I like your heroine's name, Kate. I'm a Catherine and never though I could be a Kate (with a K)...but look at Kate Middleton. She's a Catherine. Or I could have been a Cate (like Cate Blanchett). I wish I had discovered this decades ago!

Re: Kiss Of The Goblin Prince (11:01am May 13, 2012):

That's an interesting concept and excerpt. It sent a little shiver to me.

Re: Pretty Amy (9:54pm May 10, 2012):

YES...I, too, love great female singer-songwriters. ou named some terrific ones. I would add Jewel, Sade, Annie Lennox, Dido, Sarah McLachlan...and that doesn't include the greats who paved the way for them! Their words can really inspire young women.

Re: Karma (10:01pm May 8, 2012):

I like light rom-coms with quick, witty dialogue. There's enough heavy stuff in the newspaper. I prefer to escape with "fluff."

Re: Royal Street (11:13am May 6, 2012):

I'm not sure I would date an undead, French pirate...but the way you describe him is appealing! A pirate would just sweep you off your feet I guess.

Re: Lady Maggie's Secret Scandal (9:52pm May 3, 2012):

I have such a blissfully boring life! I've never had to make such a dramatic choice. t makes for great reading but doesn't make for good, peaceful reality.

Re: Under His Protection (10:35am April 29, 2012):

I like big, alpha heroes...but not if they're s cocky s.o.b.! LOL

Re: Untouched (6:46pm April 28, 2012):

I must admit to not recognizing the names of the songs and groups that you have connected with your book and characters. A lot of songs trigger memories for me. One very strong one for me is Anything for You by Gloria Estefan (a memory of a break up). Every Breath you Take by The Police is another one that reminds me of someone's obsession.

Re: Blackmailed by the Italian Billionaire (1:00pm April 22, 2012):

An Italian Billionaire? You had me hooked at the title! LOL!

Re: In Search of Lucy (5:34pm March 31, 2012):

To me, now, a road trip is if I have to drive to a meeting 2 or 3 hours away. I haven't driven across multiple states on a "real" road trip for more than 10 years.

The book sounds like a fun journey.

Re: True Highland Spirit (5:06pm March 31, 2012):

I love strong, kick-ass heroines. The intriguing twist here is that she's a bad girl...a "highwaywoman"? Interesting. Sounds like there's potential for a rousing good time.

Re: Neil's Fire (5:32pm March 17, 2012):

St. Lucia must be beautiful. I read some about it when I was studying Derek Walcott's beautiful poetry.

Rainy days--I like them occasionally. It makes for a great day to curl up with a good book and to do lots of napping.

Re: Hellsbane (4:43pm March 15, 2012):

Like you, I have founf myself typing out lyrics quite by accident when I was very intent on typing something but there was a favorite song on the radio in the background! That's so funny! That new Adele album is so awesome. Everytime I hear "Rolling in the Deep," I've just go to get off my arse and move. She was incredible at the Grammys!

Re: The Last Beginning (1:03pm February 19, 2012):

This year, I did get a nice card from my hubby, but that was it. He was asleep on the couch by 7:15. I don't worry about it though. I think Valentine's Day is way too commercialized and over-hyped. There's too much pressure on guys to make it something special. I'm lucky that my guy shows me he loves me in lots of little ways everyday.
