Melanie Milburne | Celebrating my 50th Book!

blog

Dear Readers,

I am so thrilled to be celebrating the release of my 50th romance novel with Harlequin Mills and Boon, Never Say No To A Caffarelli. This is a special novel to me in so many ways, not just for the milestone it is, but also for the characters that embody all that is so addictive about the romance genre: a dashingly handsome and ruthless hero, a feisty and beautiful - in looks and in nature- heroine who is the only person who can unlock his hardened workaholic heart.

Rafe and Poppy are opposites. He is a hard-nosed, fast-paced, bottom line businessman. She is a sweet and caring nurturer who runs an old fashioned homey tearoom in a sleepy English village.

He wants her dower house. She won’t sell it. But for all the sparks of angst that fire between them, there is something else neither of them can control.

Here’s a sneak peek…

Rafe slid a hand into the thick curtain of her hair, loving the feel of those bouncy curls moving against his skin like dainty, springy, fragrant blossoms of jasmine, each one caressing him, intoxicating him.

He would allow himself one kiss.

Just to see if it was as he remembered. Maybe he’d imagined the sparks of electricity shooting up and down his spine as his lips had come in contact with hers. Maybe her mouth wouldn’t be just another woman’s today. It wouldn’t make his head spin and his desire race like high-octane fuel through his veins.

He brought his mouth down within reach of the perfect bow of hers, taking his time, letting their breaths mingle.

‘What are you doing?’ Her voice was soft and husky, her warm, sweet breath dancing against his lips like a teasing spring breeze.

‘What do you think I’m doing?’ But before she could answer, or the controlled and sensible part of him could change his mind, Rafe did it.

I hope you enjoy Never Say No To A Caffarelli, Book One in my Scandalous Caffarellis Trilogy.

Since Poppy owns and runs a tearoom I thought I’d tie that in with the giveaway. I have a signed copy for a reader who can tell me what their favourite cake/cookie/ slice is to have with the perfect cup of tea.

Best wishes,
Melanie Milburne

Wow, Congrats on your new book: NEVER SAY NO TO A
CAFFARELLI. My Mother made the best lemonade cake in a long
sheet cake pan with fork holes and made a fantastic frosting
with frozen cans of lemonade and drizzle it all through the
cake holes. So moist and would melt in your mouth. That
would be wonderful to have with a hot cup of tea. I miss her
great cake now that she has passed and is with GOD. Thank
You very much. Cecilia CECE
