sides the American Revolutionary war, and everything is at stake and no way to
turn back the hands of time. There is no one to trust, especially each other.
Kate should not be falling in love with Peter, but love is love, and she
responds to his seduction. Kate is caught up between so many lies, she wants to
surrender, but when she finds out that a spy exists in her household and this
spy steals military dispatches from Tremayne causing Kate in the position of
high treason. Tremayne is disgraced and he also is being watched. Kate, even though she's in love with Peter will take many risks during the war
to make sure General Washington receives very important information that will
change the ways of the war. She is fully aware that she's putting Peter's life
on the line, but continues to pass information to an undercover spy in the city
Philadelphia, (the city of Brotherly love). Months later the war is over, but
Kate is told that Peter is either dead or taken abroad. She visit's a spy master
whom she never liked, hoping he will reveal whether Peter is alive or dead. I
won't tell you a spoiler, but this book is one great read, a true Romance
Historical with great characters, twists and turns and sensuality a plus! Will Kate find Peter alive or dead? Is he back in England living a good life,
not thinking of her. This book is a true page turner, loved it very much!! And
the author gave me a bit of history of the war that I'd forgotten. THE TURNCOAT is a must

I admit that I have not read a romance where the main
characters were on opposite sides of a war. That is one heck
of a conflict. Am curious.

I think that the fire the ignites a person to hate can be also directed to love. I find that hate is a passionate emotion and that passion can be redirected. I think that the best way to engage me is the verbal foreplay of an excellent debate - so, yes, I think enemies can become lovers.

I think that the storyline is fascinating - the conflict is a great place to start - and, as a resident of Philadelphia, I love that the story is partly set there! History is SO cool!

I have read a couple of books with such a major conflict and found they are amazing read. There is nothing stronger than two people fighting for what they believe as they fight the attraction they have for the enemy. Love them!

I must admit that if by some chance I was the person to win this book and read it, it would be the first time that I would read this particular type of Historical Romance, being a love story between enemies. I haven't read a book before, having to do with American History in this vein as well, and after reading both reviews, I am totally hooked, and wish the book were in my hands right now!!

I love them. I'm actually writing one now about a vampire and a vampire hunter who despise each other with so much passion that it eventually grows into something beautiful. I can;t wait to finish it, like I can't wait to read this book :)

Enemies turn lover plots are interesting because the dynamic is a love/hate feel.
Definitely havn't read much like this but I would really love to read, "The Turncoat".

I love enemies turn to lovers storyline. Both sides learn a lot from each other that sometimes everything is not what it seems. That's when they overcome their differences.

Love and hate are both strong emotions that tend to be linked. You can't really hate someone you don't have some kind of relationship with (you CAN dislike them intensely), and you can't really love someon you don't have some kind of relationship with (you can lust after them or like them or even idolize them, but not TRULY love them). Both emotions involve our entire attention, so they make for excitement.
