I’m so thrilled to be here. Thank you for inviting me! I’ve just seen my 51st book for Harlequin Presents hit the shelves,
and have been answering a lot of questions. What’s the best thing about writing
romance, for example? The readers, of course! Meeting people across the world is
a bonus I never imagined when I signed my first contract and the Internet has
brought us all closer together. When I attended RWA San Diego this year the first person to ask me to sign a
book said it was about time I wrote more polo books like my Acosta series. I
just love her for that. I love my polo players and I love my readers, so I came
home and started writing straight away. 
A new series is born! My brand new Blood and
Thunder series is a collection of stand-alone, no-holds-barred romance

Susan Stephens was a professional singer before meeting her husband on the
tiny Mediterranean island of Malta. In true 'Modern' style they met on Monday,
became engaged on Friday and were married three months after that. Almost thirty
years and three children later, they are still in love. (Susan does not advise
her children to return home one day with a similar story, as she may not take
the news with the same fortitude as her own mother!) Susan had written
several non-fiction books when fate took a hand. At a charily costume ball there
was an after-dinner auction. One of the lots, 'Spend a Day with an Author', had
been donated by Mills & Boon author, Penny Jordan. Susan's husband bought this
lot, and Penny was to become not just a great friend but a wonderful mentor, who
encouraged Susan to write romance. Susan loves her family, her pets, her
friends and her writing. she enjoys entertaining, travel and going to the
theatre. She reads, cooks and plays the piano to relax, and can occasionally be
found throwing herself off mountains on a pair of skis or galloping through the
countryside.

Great to hear from everyone! That's the rub with being in a vastly different time

Wine Decanting Guide
Not merely does it look lovely, it heightens our awareness of anticipation. It also appears super-posh, and every once in a while that can't be a terrible thing.
So why can we decant? Which wines do we make a point of decanting? How does one really get it done?
WHY DECANT?
You will find two main reasons for decanting.
This sediment is totally harmless and natural, although not so agreeable in the mouth. The reason for decanting here will be to make certain the wine pours clear and bright.
2.To permit the wine to breathe Decanting wine aerates it. Contact with oxygen develops the wine, bringing out odors and softening it. This respiration procedure is occasionally favoured for young red wines which could otherwise come across as harsh and demanding.
WHICH WINES have to BE DECANTED?
As a rule of thumb of thumb it is good to believe that red wines that have seen 10 years in bottle will need to be decanted. You might however see winemakers signal on their labels that their red wine is produced "unfined and unfiltered" (or words to that effect). In this instance you'd be prepared to view sediment in the bottle earlier. Remember of course that just a small proportion of wines commercially available have the capacity to age 10 years !
HOW TO DECANT
If your bottle is resting in your wine rack, now's the time to take it out and stand it upright. The sediment needs to collect in the foundation of the bottle - it's better to enable at least a day because of this to happen. Before you uncork the wine, take away the capsule and clean the neck and shoulder of the bottle As you decant you need to what is going on in the bottle shoulder and neck (more of this soon).
GET SOME LIGHT
