I love spies. Give me a spy novel, and I'm gone for the afternoon, chasing bad
guys, hiding in corridors, thinking about secrets. It was inevitable that I
would eventually write about spies. I just didn't expect to write about them in
a futuristic romance.
I started the Assassins Guild series with the idea that every character in the
books would be an assassin in a universe where assassination was legal. But I'm
one of those crazy authors whose characters talk to her, and when this book
rolled around, both Jack Hunter and Skylight Jones told me emphatically that
they didn't want to kill people for a living. They were both working hard to
prevent more deaths, by providing information to the right folks.
Somehow, Jack and Skye convinced me to make them spies.
I had no trouble with that. It made the book feel fresh to me, even though I'm
very familiar with this science fiction universe. It made me see the Assassins
Guild from yet another perspective.
Jack and Skye have a lot of fun from the moment they meet, but they're also very
serious people. They're well matched, only they don't know it from the start.
They must go on that journey that all couples—real and
imagined—take, figuring out how they fit together.
I hope you accompany Jack and Skye on their journey. I promise you adventure and
romance, and a heck of a very good time.

I love the description of the book. Not sure I would want to live in a world where assassins are legal, but it definitely would make for an interesting read.

Since you love spy books, I know I'm in for a wild ride with this one!! I can't wait to read it, and end my Summer on an up note!! The cover is wonderful!! Even the script ends a nice touch to the cover!! This is definately a book everyone should have on their TBR list!!
