First off, many thanks to Fresh Fiction for giving me a chance to talk about my latest book, HEX IN HIGH HEELS.

If you've read my series you know that my witches are sexy, snarky, and have attitude plus. They can take down the bad guys without chipping a nail and the words “charge it!” are in their vocabulary. They have a metabolism we wish we all had and the way they look is cuter than drop dead gorgeous.

They're the ones you'd love to have coffee with at Starbucks, go shopping, or find a great place for lunch.

In many ways they're just like us.

Well, except for the fact, magick is infused their very genes. If the coffeemaker breaks down, they can conjure up a quick mocha. No stain dares stick to their clothing, and if the face needs a little brightening, they're on it.

In my previous books we met the vampire and wizard who stole Jazz and Stasi's hearts, and now it's Blair's turn for some hexy romance.

HEX IN HIGH HEELS begins a few months after WICKED BY ANY OTHER NAME, and  it's Blair's turn for romance. Jake's furry secret is revealed and Blair is fine with that. In fact, she'd like nothing more for him to land in her bed when he can't shed on the sheets. Except Jake's backing off. And trouble's around the corner between Weres wanting to take over the mountain Blair and Stasi have protected for decades. No way are they going to allow that to happen. Agnes, the mayor's wife, has hired some elves to add ambiance to the local winter festival. Of course, we are talking my love for throwing twists and turns into my books. That means these elves aren't the cute you'd see working for Santa type, but ones you'd want to stay far away from.

And did I mention that Jake's mother and brother show up to cause a Wereload of trouble for Blair? Trust me, there's no warm and fuzzies there since the Weres aren't all that fond of witches.

Not that it bothers Blair. She'll tackle whatever is thrown at her, even her boyfriend's wolfie-mother who's determined there will be no witch in her son's life. Especially since there's … oops, nope, can't say anything more on that. You'll have to read the book to find out just what the Weres are up to where Blair is concerned!

I can tell you that Jazz's mischievous bunny slippers, Fluff and Puff, are back and find a unique way to stick around. That Horace gets a chance to create chaos and revels in it. And you'll see more of diva romance author Thea along with a first glance at Maggie, another witch who is in my next book.

So sit back to revisit Moonstone Lake, meet some more of the residents, and see what kind of trouble Blair can get into along with her determination that no way is Jake getting away from her even if he thinks he's doing the right thing on her behalf. After all, where else can you get a boyfriend and cuddly dog all wrapped up in one sexy package?

What about you? Do you think you could handle a guy you could take to the dog park one day and admire all his manly muscles as he straps on a tool belt the next?

Do your Weres have to be wolves or are you willing to give another species a try?

Tell me what revs your engines for those supernatural guys.

Re: Linda Wisdom | What's Hexier Than A Witch?

Linda Wisdom: Thank you for the news about your "Blair" witch project.

I really go for active, assertive romantic heroines, ones who can take on anything and anyone. If they're witches, they'd have to be that way. Otherwise, men would just use them as hex objects.

I also go for adorable, cuddly, furry creatures. Only in my case, it's cats.

Not that there's anything wrong with dogs. It's just that I'm a cat person. Even as I type this, my cat Lucretia is sitting in my lap purring away. It's no mean feat to blog for hours on end with a cat in one's lap. Especially one this big and heavy!

I dig romances in which pets play significant roles, but I can't imagine a were-cat. And you know how proud cats are. They'd probably consider turning into a human a step down.

As for what kind of supernatural being I'd most like for a romantic hero, I'd say a ghost. I don't believe in them, but I wouldn't mind being haunted by one. Especially if he looks like Patrick Swayze did in that movie.

Keep up the good work!

I love shifters, all kinds at any time; mix them up, bears, wolves, cats and even throw in vampires; the more the better

I like the wolves but give me a leopard here and there to keep it interesting! This book looks so cute, added to my list!

I love the wolves, the more ferocious the sexier.

I agree about the were-cats. Especially the big ones like leopards, lions, and panthers! I find that even more interesting (read "sexier") than say a were-kitty cat. LOL! Only because the large cats are usually so sleek, toned, and sinewy that I can better imagine them as a sexy human. Then again, I'd like to see what you could do to make a reader believe in a were-kitty cat... LOL! I also love the idea of a ghost/spirit lover. Ah! I might as well admit it! I love anything paranormal! Keep on writing and I'll keep on reading!

I do love reading paranormal stories and your new release certainly caught my attention. With the addition of those nasty holiday elves I'm hooked. Congratulations!

This book sounds like a fun romp! Don't know how I've missed this series, but it sounds like a lot of fun. I'll be looking for it.
