What's the name of your latest release?
Christmas on Reindeer Road
What do you love about writing holiday/Christmas romance?
Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love everything about the holidays: twinkle lights and colored tinsel, snowflakes and mistletoe, hot chocolate and sugar cookies, family gatherings and treasured traditions. Which is why I love writing Christmas romance. I get to enjoy the magic of the holidays all year long.
Are your hero and heroine full of Christmas cheer or the holidays bring out the worst in them?
My heroine, Mallory Maitland, and my hero’s youngest son, Teddy, are Team Christmas. While my hero, Gabriel Buchanan, his twin sons, and Mallory’s stepsons are Team Bah Humbug.
What's one of your favorite holiday traditions?
Hosting a family party to decorate the Christmas tree.
Which Christmas movie do you watch on repeat throughout this festive time of year?
National Lampoon’s “Christmas Vacation” with our adult children, and Jim Carrey’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with our grandchildren.
The best Christmas song is...
Mallory’s favorite Christmas song is “All I Want for Christmas is You!” and mine is “Mary Did You Know”
Do you prefer to be home for the holidays, or do you like to travel?
We prefer staying home for the holidays.
What can readers expect from you next?
Highland Falls book 3—Falling in Love on Willow Creek. This is Sadie Gray’s story. She made an appearance in books 1 & 2 and is the granddaughter of Agnes MacLeod, the owner of I Believe in Unicorns. Sadie’s love interest is FBI agent Chase Roberts, who’s undercover in Highland Falls. If you’ve read Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge, you might be able to guess why he’s undercover :-)

Highland Falls #2
Fans of RaeAnne Thayne and Debbie Macomber will love this USA Today bestselling author's latest holiday romance about two single parents whose holiday wishes come true in the small town of Highland Falls.
Can the magic of mistletoe bring together two busy single parents?
Mallory Maitland knows all too well what it's like to feel abandoned, which is why she's sworn never to give up on her two stepsons - her late husband's children. But when the teens land in hot water, she's got a whole new problem: how to resist the caring and incredibly hot Chief of Police Gabriel Buchanan. All Mallory wants is to give the boys a magical holiday. She doesn't need the distraction of wondering what it would be like to kiss Gabriel under the mistletoe.
After his wife died, Gabriel left his job as an adrenaline-chasing New York City homicide detective to focus on raising his three sons. But back in Highland Falls, he doesn't have to go looking for trouble. It finds him - in the form of a beautiful neighbor and her troublemaking stepchildren. With Gabriel's mother-in-law looking for any excuse to gain custody of his sons, Gabriel can't risk getting involved with Mallory, even though she's the only woman capable of making this Christmas - and all the rest to come - his best ever.

We travel but not far. We visit my grandparents on both sides but they live fairly close to us. (Meredith Winn 2:01am December 4, 2020)

All of our family is within a 30 minute drive so I don't consider that traveling. Though this year, we will be staying at home. (Doreen Fontes 9:15am December 4, 2020)
For years when the kids were young, we would always be home on Christmas Day. But the next day, we'd travel up to New England to be with our extended families. This year, it's just my hubby & myself visiting our 1 son. Will truly miss being with the rest of the family during this pandemic! (Annmarie Weeks 9:57am December 4, 2020)

I like to stay home. I enjoy relaxing and not being on a schedule at home. We always went to all the other homes of family when the kids were small, and I always felt bad for taking them away from their new toys. (Tina Rucci 1:14pm December 4, 2020)
Stay at home. Most of family is close and traveling to see any of them would be a nightmare of airports and snow delays. (Cynthia St. Germain 5:23pm December 4, 2020)
We take turns hosting so some years we travel and some we don't. I like the holiday either way as long as we can be together. This year will be a zoom gathering, and that is fine if it means we can all be together and healthy next year. (Eileen Pelletier 6:33pm December 4, 2020)
No need to travel because all our family is close, plus weather is always questionable. (Tracy Urschler 8:25pm December 4, 2020)
I Stay home for the holidays. It may sound crazy but I have pretty bad PTSD from a car accident years ago that was cause by hitting black ice. Now once winter comes and it snows or freezes out, I can not bring myself to go out. (Monica McConnell 10:10pm December 4, 2020)
I used to travel to my kids or Mom's who has been in Assisted Living for a year. Now I talk to my kids and stay home and share leftovers the following day. I do remember one year visiting my Aunt and Uncle across town and my husband decided to go on the freeway during a blizzard. The snow was coming sideways straight at us and when someone was ahead, the tail- lights helped to guide, otherwise there was nothing to mark the edge of the road. We did make it home, but it was a white knuckle ride and we did go slow. (Alyson Widen 12:17pm December 5, 2020)
I travel to San Diego to visit my sister after the holidays. (Joy Isley 3:42pm December 5, 2020)
I like to stay at home because all my family come to my house. (Becky Kinard 5:34pm December 5, 2020)
Stay home with a cozy mystery! (Rebecca Shields 8:53pm December 6, 2020)

Now that I am older I love to stay home. The younger families come to visit with me at Christmas. (Tina Bartunek 2:29pm December 7, 2020)
At this stage of my life, I prefer to stay home or only travel a short distance to be with family. (Anna Speed 3:39pm December 7, 2020)
Would really love to read. I enjoy holiday reads this time.of the year. (Dianne Casey 5:40pm December 7, 2020)
I’m a homebody. But if I travel, it’s to see family. (Kimberley Coover 6:05pm December 7, 2020)

We have done both and enjoyed both. We live far from our original families (NY and Florida). Two of our children live near us in TN and our oldest lives 5 hours away in NC. Normally she comes here and we have a nice family Christmas. We have traveled with our oldest and her family several years and celebrated elsewhere. We have enjoyed both, but I prefer a home Christmas. (Patricia Barraclough 2:25am December 8, 2020)
