Georgia McBride, Publisher at Swoon Romance | Love in Winter
October 6, 2013
It’s October already. Where did the summer go? It seems like we were just
filling our eReaders with beach reads last week, and yet, soon we will be
trick-or-treating! And brrrr. Is that a chill in the air? It’s definitely time
to find someone to cuddle up with. As the leaves fall, and the pumpkin pies bake, I start thinking about one of my
favorite things of all time; curling up by the fireplace with a good book. There
is just something special about stolen kisses under the mistletoe, falling in
love by the fire, and holding hands while walking in the snow. At Swoon Romance,
we have short and sexy love stories to warm your eReader screen all season long. Love and Other Games
Love and Other Games is
a collection of four sexy new adult stories centered around athletes competing
in the Winter Games by Ana Blaze, Melinda Dozier, Aria Kane, and Kara Leigh
Miller.
Worth More Than Gold by Ana Blaze
Amy Pierce, the klutzy sister
and manager of
America’s Skating Sweetheart, is used to being invisible next to her famous
sister. But Amy catches the eye of a sexy Norwegian ski jumper at a party near
the Olympic Village. It’s a magical night, but an awkward next morning has her
running. Everyone knows Erik Andresen’s best shot at an individual medal was
back in 2010, before an injury sidelined his dreams. With a little bit of luck,
these two might have a shot at something worth more than gold. Trouble with Gold by Melinda Dozier
Nadia Hoffman rescues US
snowboarder and notorious prankster, Ty (Trouble) Madsen from a most
embarrassing situation involving a fence, his boxers and his pride as the sparks
fly between them. One mistake could cost Nadia the position she hopes for as
part of the Olympic Committee,
and she’s not about to let Ty make trouble for her, even if he is irresistibly
sexy and she can’t seem to stay away from him. The Girl Behind the Gold by Aria 8232;
Greek aerial skier Lia
Milonas’s parents
are about to lose the family farm. Saving it means medaling and landing a huge
sponsor. While her no-nonsense attitude has her well on her way to a medal, it
hasn’t won her a place in fans' hearts. “Come back with a story that will make
readers cry, or don’t come back.” This is what Brandon James’ boss told him
before he left New York to cover the Winter Games for Moment Magazine. With a
wink and a smile, he can charm his way into any invite-only party, but that
career-making story is nowhere to be found – until he meets Lia. The two strike
a deal that should get them both what they want - but neither would have guessed
they’d also find what they need.
Ice Gold by Kara Leigh
Miller
Colton
Campbell thrives on the fast paced, adrenaline rushed lifestyle of being an
Olympic hockey player. Despite Brenna Jessup's abhorrence for the games and the
athletes, she's hand-picked as the official photographer for the U.S. Olympic
Hockey Team. When a faux pas by Brenna almost costs Colton his career, she owes
him. Too bad for her, Colton doesn't want apologies -- he wants retribution! And
he knows just how to get it -- and her -- in the process. Masked Love by Nicole Zoltack
Isabelle is content being a maid, and will do anything for her lady. As
Christmas nears, Lady Theodosia nervously awaits introduction to the man she has
been pledged to in marriage. But first, a masquerade ball Isabelle is asked to
attend and help Lady Theodosia manage her nerves. Meeting an enchanting stranger
at the lavish affair has Isabelle wishing for a life she can never have.
Thinking she will never see him again, she returns his flirtation and even
reveals her face. Imagine her shock when he shows up the next morning,
announcing his claim on Lady Theodosia.
Unwrap Me by Carolina Jordan and Samantha Spencer
This year, Christmas comes early for grad-student Peyton Wagner in the form of a
TA job away from her Podunk town and abusive ex, Blake Hunter. But as Peyton
soon discovers, some miracles come with unexpected and deliciously tempting
surprises. And when her past and present collide in a shocking yuletide twist,
Peyton has to choose between playing it safe with her mended heart, or risking
it all for the chance at a new future . . . and the gift of true love. What about you? What kinds of romantic things do you like to do during the

Sure enough I'm seeing a lot of Christmas romance books out already! They are not really a two-person hobby though, the men prefer something else so we have to go along with them when we want to be romantic. Like walking on a cold breezy beach on a fine winter's day. (Clare O'Beara 2:48pm October 6, 2013)
we live in pa so we see snow alot here i like to see it but i love cozing up to a warm cup of tea and a cozy warm blanket and lay on the couch to get warm (Denise Smith 3:31pm October 6, 2013)
hot chocolate for two and the electric mattress pad warming up the bed - ah! bliss! (Beth Fuller 3:31pm October 6, 2013)

Congrats on your new books. Growing up in Kansas we had lots of snow and blizzards to play in the pretty white snowflakes and giant ice sickles hanging on our roof. The most fun I had one year was the neighbor across from our farm was riding a snowmobile across their crop field. I was watching and then he took me for a ride zooming across the KS crop fields. What a cold chilly blast from my past that was. Fun for sure. Now, I am living in Austin, TX and we do not get much snow here but one year we got enough for my husband to make a tiny snowman that was so cute. Thanks for the great memories and I would love to win and read your books this Fall and Winter. Thank You so much. Cecilia CECE (Cecilia Dunbar Hernandez 8:09pm October 6, 2013)
I don't really care for snow anymore. (Wilma Frana 9:13pm October 6, 2013)
Put on a fire and turn the lights out to watch TV. It is fun and romantic! (Sue Galuska 10:34pm October 6, 2013)
Hayrides, corn stalk mazes, pumpkin pies, and pumpkin soups. It really doesn't matter much what you do as long as you're with someone that you love. (Marcia Berbeza 10:48pm October 6, 2013)
Fall and winter are great seasons for extra cuddling time. I especially enjoy walks in the park in the Fall looking at the trees and how beautiful the leaves look. (Holly Sines 11:25pm October 6, 2013)
Just time together really. (Mary Preston 5:05am October 7, 2013)
Go to Bali to enjoy the sunrise and sunset (Rina Darmayanti 5:30pm October 8, 2013)
Picking apples, trying to hold onto a lot of pumpkins and carving the best one, singing carols and sharing the warmth of food with friends and family are things I like to do now that it's cooler. Watching the leaves change colors and going on walks and snappy smell of fires lit in the fireplace make me get out the winter clothes and changeover my closets.
