CM Doporto | Interview with PHU’s Quarterback, Raven Davenport

Hi everyone and thank you for joining College Sports Network, I’m your host, Jenna Presley. Today, I have a very special guest, Park Hill University’s star quarterback, Raven Davenport.

Jenna: Hi Raven, thanks for joining us today.

Raven: Thanks for inviting me. (He rubs his palms against his thighs and I have to force myself to look away.)

Jenna: First, I’d like to congratulate you and the team on a terrific season. Twelve wins and two losses is a great record. How does it feel to know that you had an integral part in leading your team to a winning season?

Raven: Honestly? (He lets out a chuckle. Damn he’s so hot.) Pretty good. We’ve worked hard this season, practicing and perfecting our weaknesses. I just went out there and played. I love football…it’s in my blood and comes naturally to me.

Jenna: So you didn’t set a goal to get PHU to a bowl game?

Raven: (He shifts in his chair. I think I made him nervous.) Of course it was a goal, but I play better when I don’t pressure myself. I wanted the senior players to have a great season and have a chance to play in a top bowl. We supported one another and that’s why we landed a spot in the Lone Star Bowl.

Jenna: How do you feel about your opponent, the Tri-Gold State Eagles? They have an equally competitive record. Do you think PHU can beat them?

Raven: They make a great opponent, and hell yeah, I know we can beat them. (He grins and I feel myself being lured by his contagious smile.)

Jenna: (Gathering my guts, I prepare to ask him a personal question. I hope it doesn’t make him mad.) It’s rumored that you’re dating PHU’s baseball pitcher Collin Norris’ ex-girlfriend, Lexi Thompson. Is that true?

Raven: (His eyes widen in surprise and it takes him a moment to answer.) Yes, we’re dating.

Jenna: (Damn!) I see. I’m sure many women at PHU are disappointed. (Including myself. Sigh.)

Raven: (He shrugs and his lips twist to the side.) I’m sorry, but she’s the only woman I want in my trap.

Jenna: (We’ll see about that.) I’m sure she’s thrilled to be in The Raven’s trap. I wish you two the best. (Not really.) I know this is an off question, but has anyone ever told you look like actor/model Nick Denbeigh?

Raven: (He laughs and I swear his cheeks redden.) Yeah. I’ve been told that before. Maybe because we’re both of mixed race and workout daily.

Jenna: (I want to ask him to take off his shirt, but I don’t want to lose my job.) Yeah, that must be it. (I catch myself staring a little too long.) I wish you and the team best of luck for the Lone Star Bowl Game, which is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 4th at 12 noon. You can catch it live on College Sports Network. Thanks again, Raven.

Raven: Thanks, Jenna. It’s always a pleasure talking to you. (He winks at me and a surge of heat hits my face.)

Jenna: Same here. (Shit! I’m freaking dying to kiss him again!)

It was mainly her late father’s influence of sharing his passion for Star Wars, Star Trek, and Superman movies that sparked her interest in the Science Fiction Genre. Couple that Science Fiction passion and a romantic at heart and boom, you get CM’s stories about ordinary females who do extraordinary things, become a heroine, and find love along the way.
