2020 is almost at an end, but our Reviewer Spotlights will continue into January! We hope you're enjoying getting to know our reviewers and columnists better. Cheers to 2021!!

Your Name
Danielle Dresser
How long have you been a Fresh Fiction reviewer?
3 years as a reviewer and about a year and a half as Editorial Manager
What are your favorite genres to read and review?
I love contemporary romance, historical romance, graphic novels, women's fiction, and historical fiction.
What are your TOP 3-5 Books of 2020?
The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa
Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert
Deal with the Devil by Kit Rocha
When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole
Confessions in B-Flat by Donna Hill

What do you like to do outside of reading?
I'm currently writing my own contemporary romance series! I also love to bake, cross-stitch, and watch TV... and by watch TV, I definitely mean watching and re-watching the Great British Bake Off and Schitt's Creek almost exclusively.
What are some of your holiday traditions?
Christmas lasts about a full week in our house. We make individual visits to my family and to my in-laws, and usually have at least one friend get-together (like a white elephant gift party or a book swap). This year this will look different, but hopefully, we can do some virtual or socially distanced visits to spread some holiday cheer. I also make this drink at least 2-3 times--it's delicious and STRONG, LOL: https://damndelicious.net/2014/06/09/raspberry-limoncello-prosecco/ (I like to add rosemary to give it a festive feel, too)

What are your reading resolutions/intentions/goals for 2021?
My goal for 2020 was to read 130 books, and I made it! I think I'll stick to 130 for next year as well. I am always trying to make sure I read diversely--both in the different genres I read as well as books by BIPOC authors and LGBTQAI+ authors. I also want to keep writing my own books and continue to write a monthly-ish column for Fresh Fiction. Oh! And supporting independent booksellers! It's so easy to one-click at a certain huge conglomerate, but it's so important to make sure our local bookstores survive, and we continue to support them in the way they support our communities.
What do you love about being a Fresh Fiction Book Reviewer?
I love being a part of a community of devoted book lovers! I get to see so many perspectives and have read many books based on the recommendation of my fellow FF reviewers. It's a fun place to be!
