it’s finally here...THE
CONCUBINE! The second ever historical Blaze book, and wow, do I love this
book! It’s set in the Forbidden City in a it-really-happened contest to marry
the Emperor. So you thought we invented Who Wants to Marry a Prince? Nope.
Chinese had it first with a marry the Emperor contest. My blog has information on the
full history and what I changed for the book. I can give you one hint. In my
book, the hero is NOT an eunuch. LOL! The back cover copy is listed below, but
if you want more, I’ve got an excerpt and reviews up at my website.
Romantic Times loved it (4 stars) and here’s what Fresh Fiction said:
“Well known for her exotic romances, Jade Lee has spun a hot and torrid love
story set against a strongly drawn background of the corrupt and powerful
practices existing in the Imperial Court in 1851. The growing attraction between
Sun Bo Tao and Ji Yue is captivating while Lee's solid historical research pulls
you right into the forbidden places the Dutch traders crave to be. This is one
exciting tale you won't want to miss!”
Okay, here’s the back cover copy
for THE CONCUBINE
by JADE
LEE:
Requirements for being a royal consort:
- 1) Exemplify
purity.
- 2) Pass all demanding tests.
- 3) Gracefully
withstand petty backstabbing.
- 4) Be chaste. Very
chaste.
Check to all! Chen Ji Yue is on her way to empress superstardom
in nineteenth-century China. She only has to vanquish 300 rivals to bring her
family great honor. Oh, and she may not find the deliciously sexy Sun Bo Tao—the
emperor's best friend—at all delicious. Or sexy.
Damn. Ji Yue is in big
trouble.
Because Bo Tao is definitely very sexy….
And Ji Yue is
about to discover that chastity is overrated….
