Re: Married By Midnight (4:25am August 5, 2012):

Hi Julianne First of all, so many thanks for doing the last of the series. Yep
been lots of series that I read that didn't finish by the publisher. I feel
bad because I used to be one of those readers who got upset and wrote
to an author about it. I was usually told it was the pubs decision so I
would write the pub but they would say its for the "publishing business"
or that the series didn't sell well and I would write back "but I bought
them!" Lol. So I felt bad as a reader that I wasn't doing enough to tell
others about the books. So I try to do that more. Thanks for your
patience! Your characters are so real to us!

Re: Starlight (3:27am June 26, 2012):

These haikus describe Polly Gowan and the Weavers Union. Gosh what an awesome cover too Carrie!

Re: True Highland Spirit (9:37pm March 30, 2012):

I so remember reading your first book when I saw it as a new author and I so had to tell other romance readers not to miss this one! I notice you pull out each character that makes them so unique. I could remember the child at the end of book 1 that would be the heroine of book 2! And thats another thing the heroes that are so unique. I do love those who are who they are! Some characteristics that I read that really take me by emotion is those too heroes who know and pursuit for love! They don't deny it to themselves. I love too that they are protective, I don't find that takes away the independence of the heroine, that it makes it stronger for them to need each other. I am so excited about this new book of yours! Congrats on the release!

Re: A Sliver Of Shadow (9:06pm February 29, 2012):

Hi Allison! Reading about this book is exciting! I love both paranormal romance and urban fantasy. I too love that the romance blossoms and the characters grow more in the UF books. So they may or may not get the the HEA but we see the relationship is so much more than a PR. I know I felt that spark with my soul mate and feel it 29 years still. So I think tho that the spark can be different for everyone, in that it may be one thats instant or grows in time as they get to know the person etc. So I really think its individualized and I like that variety!

Great post!

Re: An Accidental Seduction (7:04pm October 31, 2010):

Of course my hubby is my hero, too of 27 years :) And the book I'm reading now is my hero! I love so much that I read because they so unique and its hard to pick just one hero! I look at them as being a hero for who they are. Right now my hero is Viscount Simon Iddesleigh from Elizabeth Hoyt's THE SERPENT PRINCE. I haven't cried from a book a few times reading it but I did so for this one. I loved how he was so true to his feelings for her and wasn't one who fought them. Loved that!

Re: Lord Lightning (10:59pm October 8, 2010):

I heard so many raving about your book Jenny! I saw it too on some authors newsletters. huge congrats! I don't know much on Astrology and nothing from historically, so looking forward to this one! Its on my wishlist!

Re: Seducing The Duchess (9:43pm October 8, 2010):

Congrats on your debut and more to come Ashley! A beautiful dream that came through for you to write your own romances! My mom introduced me to romance books. She had those big sexy covers of the historical romances behind the series. After a while she realized I was reading those too and gave up on telling me not to read them yet, LOL. You got a fab cover Ashley!

Re: The Spurned Viscountess (7:40pm October 1, 2010):

Shelly do try Eve Silver, you'd be thrilled with hers. All this chat on Gothic Romances is so having me excited to find more to read! Congrats on yours and more to come!

Re: The Spurned Viscountess (6:28am September 30, 2010):

I sent too fast! Also, I thought in some ways, Amanda Quick's that I read had a strong mystery in hers that reminded me of gothics! It was THE PAID COMPANION. I don't read much outside of romance but I do read historical mystery series (I read maybe 3 authors so far, Deanna Rayborn, Robin Pagie, Victoria Thompson) So recommend Victoria Thompson's. Hers are set in Turn of Century NYC. So I do love the mystery within historical romances! And then too the Paranormal historical romances. I always looking for those! I had read Kathryn Smith's Brotherhood of Blood series and wow, they were great. They too gave me that 'gothic' feeling reading them. So I love this theme obviously! and lots to recommend. I'm looking forward to hearing more recommendations. I'll have to plan to re-read some Victoria Holt. Its been VERY LONG!

Re: The Spurned Viscountess (6:23am September 30, 2010):

Hi Shelley! I read all of Victoria Holt's books! I remember when I first discovered them in the library, I think it was around my senior year in HS, and I went from library to library and read all, keeping a check list to make sure I didn't miss any! That was my first intro to Gothic Romances! The other authors I remember were Phyllis Whitney (I checked off hers too!) A recent author I read was Jennifer St. Giles (hers was a couple years ago) and Eve Silver too! Its hard to find much now of them and thrilled to know you have one out!

Re: Seducing the Knight (4:21pm June 11, 2010):

Hi Gerri! I love reading the Scottish historical romances and thrilled about this new book! I feel I learn so much from what I read and I mostly love to go back to that time period for a feel of it then! SEDUCING THE KNIGHT sounds perfect! Gosh, a great peek (excerpt). I could so visualize their exploring!

Re: Blown Away (7:18pm May 30, 2010):

I love when they have trilogy coming out close together, like Tessa Dare's! First one just was out, ONCE DANCE WITH A DUKE. I either read as I get or read one after another since they are out close together. I notice that with books out further apart with the trilogies, I end up doing re-reads or close to that! The second book in Cara Elliott Circle of Win, TO SURRENDER TO A ROGUE is out in June so I plan to refresh myself with a scanning re-read the first book, TO SIN WITH A SCOUNDREL. Sometimes I just can't wait til the whole trilogy is out so I read as they come out and then refresh myself with the stories before the next book is out.

Re: Dead in the Family (7:11pm May 30, 2010):

I love reading the paranormal and Urban Fantasy with the romance in them! Like Jeaniene Frost Night Huntress series and Eternal Kiss of Darkness, book 2, is out the end of July! Too, love the historicals and so many, especially for TEMPTING EDEN by Margaret Rowe and RUTHLESS HEART by Emma Lang!

Re: A Certain Wolfish Charm (11:40pm March 31, 2010):

So a joy to meet you Lydia and wow, I'm super excited about your series! These sound perfect! Love werewolves! My happy ever after drink would have my favorite of peach snapps and orange juice (yep a screwdriver) so refreshing! Fits perfectly!
Thanks Id love to be in the contest

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (9:30pm November 30, 2009):

Hi Tina!! Each year I add a new Angel ornament to my tree in memory of my mom. Its a beautiful tree now with 9 Angels on it. A friend helped me through the first Thanksgiving with doing this and I so love to look for a new Angel ornament to add. We are not able to do the exchanging of gifts but we treasure those times watching some funny Christmas movies (we rarely miss watching National Lapoon's Christmas Vacation)!

You have a wonderful holidays and congrats on a new cowboy release! Love them!

Re: The Day The Falls Stood Still (8:00pm October 30, 2009):

I grew up in Central NY and we visited NF a few times growing up and now I'm closer there in Western NY. I so love feeling the sprinkles coming from the falls as I stand there and watch them. Too its so neat to see in the winter as well. Its been a while since I've gone! I remember reading some stories about those going down in a barrel (and those attempting but being caught before hand) on the news here. I'm for sure going to look up some now since I'm fastinated by it! I'd love to be in the contest to read this! The answer is Bess Heath!

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (7:46pm October 30, 2009):

Hi Tina!! So love that cover with the cowboy and winter! It goes perfect together! I'm looking forward to it being in the stores in a few days to read!

I've read many of Laura Ingalls Wilder and I remember a couple years ago when I was going through my surgery and dealing with not just the pain physically but emotionally too and my hubby decided that I needed a small trip and he took me to the library. I ended up picking up LITTLE WOMAN to read in a sitting there and that comfort all came back to me.

Re: The Cowboy From Christmas Past (5:52pm September 30, 2009):

Hi Tina! You get the best cowboy covers for your books (for the best cowboys stories too) So thrilled on this new release and for all you do!!

Re: A Dark Love (5:39pm September 30, 2009):

This sounds so fab!! I never thought of it being called a Spidey sense but so understand that feeling! I remember that once recently with needing a new car and having that feeling that I shouldn't go with this car, this amount and all. Sometimes you can walk away from it and sometimes you can't (those tough car sellers!)

Re: In The Garden Of Sin (10:01pm July 15, 2009):

Oh great on the new book coming Louisa! Great info on the research! I learn most I do now from the romances I read!

Re: Dragons Prefer Blondes (4:28pm July 8, 2009):

I confess I'm not one who's into superheroes much so I found one that I was told about that was a cowboy in the comics, called Sanders! He saved people on stagecoaches :) He would be my pick. They should put his comics out again!

Re: Loving a Lost Lord (2:24am July 6, 2009):

Hi MaryJo!! I love to escape into a historical romance. I just love the history back then, the society, especially in regency, Victorian, etc. They make such wonderful comfort reads for me because I can be just into that world when reading and its a great feel. I'm totally excited about your new book. A huge congrats. I have many favorites of yours, and WILD CHILD is on the top!

Re: The Texas Twins (10:14pm June 28, 2009):

Hi Tina! So love that cover and won't be missing that story! Love your books! My mom used to have a small table set up with a puzzle on it. I would always see her go and work on it each day in the evening and I joined in and it became a tradition for us to do! I've since did a couple myself and did the background gluing to put them in a frame! I miss doing one, I have to soon!

Re: Loving a Lost Lord (10:03pm June 28, 2009):

I love reading a variety of genres but too I have my favorites like historical. The under that have favorites like arranged marriages and rogues, so I'm gonna look for those themes too so I may read more of similar themes but each book is so unique in itself! I love it!

Re: To Ruin The Duke (11:02pm June 9, 2009):

Hi Debra!! So thrilled to read your post here! One of my favorite keepers, hard naming one! is SILENT MELODY by Mary Balogh. (Also ANNIE'S SONG by Catherine Anderson. Awesome reads.

Re: Master Of Craving (9:21pm May 27, 2009):

Re: A Little Light Magic (10:47pm May 26, 2009):

Hi Joy!! I'm having so much fun hearing more about your book and thrilled I have it to read! SOON! Doing some catching up!

I'm exactly in the middle and there was 7 of us. I remember my mom calling us for dinner and would call out each of our names! And not our short ones! LOL. My dad had a nickname for us all.

Re: My Forbidden Desire (9:43pm May 25, 2009):

Love how unique your books sound Carolyn! From all I read I know it can be so different because you create the 'world' for these books you write, right? Or is there facts about werewolves from history? I wasn't sure because I've always thought that some things were created for the books but too got to make sense! Love your post!

Re: Killer Cuts (11:18pm May 20, 2009):

I so love your lists! I came to get my list added on and its the right place! I loved the Mary Balogh series and so can't wait for that Hardcover and gotta fit it in my budget somehow, LOL

Re: The Infamous Rogue (9:41pm May 18, 2009):

I so love a reunion story! I love how they get to mend and grow and heal and all that! I'm excited about This one!!

Cool will check out LuAnn

Re: Sea Lord (10:26pm May 5, 2009):

I always loved Beauty & The Beast! There's just something about that in a romance book that is perfect!

Too many may not have heard of this one, but it was The Great Sea Serpent of Hans Christian Andersen. I love reading his! I used to have a collection and I let someone borrow so I must get again!

Re: Relentless (11:32pm May 4, 2009):

Hi Lauren. I so love a variety! I love to be surprised when I'm reading too! (I just don't read outside of romance except for Urban Fantasy and Historical Mysteries) otherwise I stick with romance. I discovered Fantasy romance with reading ebooks and so glad I did! So for me, I really love trying something new with themes and genres in romance!

Re: Enchanting the Beast (8:44pm May 1, 2009):

Hi Kathryn!!! Yeah the new one is out! BEAST!!! I thought i'd get it with the monthly shipment with Dorchester but it wasn't one of the book club books. I must get SOON! I saw too at your site you working on the next one! Congrats!

I so can't wait for WILD HEAT. I read your others and love them!

Re: Killer Cuts (8:42pm May 1, 2009):

A wonderful list!!! I just put a bunch on my wishlist like Adrian (love this vamp series), Haddock (so been waiting for this one!), Kenyon (don't miss any of hers), Knight (Great heroes!), Tabke (I need to get this whole trilogy), Davis (Firemen!), Balogh (Beautiful regencies) and Johnson (new to me author).

Sara, I love Balogh's books too! Have you read SILENT MELODY, its a earlier book and just so beautiful!

Whew! Now going to add more to this list from this site, LOL.

Re: The Madness Of Lord Ian Mackenzie (9:29pm April 30, 2009):

Hi Jennifer! Loved those pirates! Too I'm looking forward to Ian's story. For me with a disability too, I love to be able to read their HEA but too those struggles and emotions we deal with each day and more so that helping others understand and accept. I've read a couple too with the heroines with deafness (Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson and Silent Melody by Mary Balogh). With Anderson book, she had alot of healing herself to overcome with another issue as well. Very emotional read. I recall a book by Kristen Hannah who wrote earlier historical romances called ONCE IN EVERY LIFE and this was a time travel where the heroine comes from the present to after Civil War (I think, I remember the western setting) and coming back to a hero who had Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and too the heroine was deaf. Quite a read, wow!

Re: Take Me Two Times (10:24pm April 23, 2009):

Hi Karen! Awesome on the sequel! I love to re-visit characters and neat to see updates on the characters from the previous books, like saying Hi, you know? Sounds so good!

Re: Cleopatra's Perfume (10:18pm April 23, 2009):

Hi Jina! I always wondered how it went for you as an author reading your own book. Do you get the joy too from reading it or more so catching what you wrote rather?

I so love getting within a story! I do get there and like a fly on the wall watching it unfold. Then I can be sitting a few days later and a scene would come to me and so feeling along with it. Especially those historical setting and fantasy! So would love to read this book. Great to meet you.

Re: The Accidental Human (6:14am April 14, 2009):

I'm mostly great with covers but only one cove r that I so much wanted to find a different cover and that was Sandra Hill's book where they did a trial of putting a like 'cartoon-ish' cover on it and I laughed because it so didn't fit her Viking heroes! All the rest weren't with the cartoon cover, so that was good! LOL

Re: Unseen (2:32am April 12, 2009):

Have a great Easter! Thanks for the huge list! I love it!

Re: Paradise Valley (2:30am April 12, 2009):

I read THE CLUB by Sharon Page. Awesome historical! I think I may start Jade Lee's DRAGON series next!
