Romance Historical

A princess in hiding...

A Templar knight bound by duty but burning with desire...

A search for the legendary Ark of the Covenant...

Their journey will take them thousands of miles — from the deserts in the cradle of civilization to the misty heathered Highlands of Scotland. Along the way they will face storms, treachery, and an army of assassins. But for these two who thrive on adventure, the greatest risk of all is abandoning themselves to the pleasures they find in each other's arms.

What is it about Scotland and days long past, you get into these books and just feel the history...it feels like you could have, should have been there too!

A Knight, Scotland, steamy love scenes! Sounds like paradise!

This book sounds like it will take me away!! Loved the Indiana Jones movie searching for the Arc of the Covenant!

I'd love to read your book. You are a new author for me.

Laurie Gommermann 7:34am June 11, 2010)

Sherry Russell 10:34am June 11, 2010)

The Indiana Jones movies were such fun adventures, and your books sound the same. Plus, who can resist a knight? ;-)
(
Cheryl Castings 11:50am June 11, 2010)

Oh I love me some Knights, this sounds really good!
(
Gail Hurt 11:59am June 11, 2010)

I loved the first book in the series and am anxious to read this one. +
I think treasure hunting sounds exciting. I would love to look for some obscure piece of history from Ireland or Scotland. Wouldn't matter what it was - just looking in those places would be exciting for me!
(
Kimberley Coover 12:27pm June 11, 2010)

Love to read about Scotland. Have a good friend who lives there. Looking forward to reading Seducing the Knight

Teresa Ward 1:51pm June 11, 2010)

Gerri, you got me sold. I love reading legendary secretive societies and artifacts. Templar Knights is one of them.
(
Kai Wong 2:34pm June 11, 2010)

This book sounds really good! I like to read about Scotland and knights. You are a new-to-me author and look forward to getting this book.
(
Deb H. 3:03pm June 11, 2010)

Congrats on the recent release of "Seducing the Knight," Gerri. I love treasure hunts. It would be amazing to discover the Holy Grail or the tomb of a pharaoh.
(
Jane Cheung 4:06pm June 11, 2010)

Hi Gerri! I love reading the Scottish historical romances and thrilled about this new book! I feel I learn so much from what I read and I mostly love to go back to that time period for a feel of it then! SEDUCING THE KNIGHT sounds perfect! Gosh, a great peek (excerpt). I could so visualize their exploring!
(
Cathie Morton 4:21pm June 11, 2010)

Oooh treasure hunting sounds fun... as for an artifact I would have liked to have found... definitely something Celtic... great excerpt!
(
Colleen Conklin 5:08pm June 11, 2010)

(
Lisa Garrett 5:49pm June 11, 2010)

I am so happy to se another of your books, I enjoy your style of storytelling and am heading out to pick up your book soon.
(
Vickie Hightower 6:53pm June 11, 2010)

Great excerpt! Treasure hunts are fun as long as I don't have to go into a jungle or anywhere too miserable. :) The artifact I would like to discover would be Amelia Earhart's plane, if that is considered an artifact.
(
S Tieh 6:56pm June 11, 2010)

Great excerpt. I'm glad I saw you on Fresh Fiction.
(
Andrea Infinger 7:47pm June 11, 2010)

Your book sounds so intriguing!! I would love to find any artifacts having to do with Egyptian history. I've always been fascinated with Cleopatra. Some of the more famous Kings have already been discovered, but I've always imagined myself on an expedition, searching for the lost pyramid. Who knows? Maybe I would have found Mount Ararat!! lol
(
Peggy Roberson 8:38pm June 11, 2010)

SEDUCING THE KNIGHT sounds great. It is exciting to think that history can be changed or clarified based on someone finding an undiscovered artifact. Who wouldn't want to be part of that discovery.
(
Rosemary Krejsa 9:07pm June 11, 2010)

Hello Gerri, Wow this sounds like a fantastic book to read!

Templar Knight...Ark of the Covenant...princess...and put it all in Scotland, one of my favorite places in the world...sigh!
(
Jessica Badeaux 10:13pm June 11, 2010)

Oh I would want to explore something biblical like the Ark or something!!!
(
Brandy Blake 10:27pm June 11, 2010)

Cheryl, I loved the whole treasure-seeking part of the Indiana Jones movies. My favorite was #3 (with Sean Connery, but that's another topic!) when they went to Petra like my characters did, but they were looking for the Holy Grail...you'll get to read about ~my~ Grail adventure in A KNIGHT TO DESIRE in March 2011.
(
Gerri Russell 11:41pm June 11, 2010)

Gail, Kimberly, Deb, Thanks so much for stopping by! Here's to many adventures in your future!
(
Gerri Russell 11:43pm June 11, 2010)

Jane, I am with you! I always wanted to go to Egypt and participate in a "dig". Despite the heat, I think it would be so much dun!
(
Gerri Russell 11:45pm June 11, 2010)

Oops! That was supposed to be ~fun~ on that last message. :-)

Cathie, I do a ~lot~ of research to make what's in my books as accurate as possible. Thanks so much for popping by today!
(
Gerri Russell 11:48pm June 11, 2010)

Colleen, I was in Scotland doing research a couple of years ago and went to the outer islands where they are still finding artifacts from the Celts. The museums there were phenomenal.
(
Gerri Russell 11:51pm June 11, 2010)

S, I'm with you, I would love to figure out what happened to Amelia Earhart. One of our museums up here in Seattle has an exhibit about her life at present. It was so very interesting to see the news reels, clothing, pictures, flight logs, even letters. She was truly a woman ahead of her time.
(
Gerri Russell 11:58pm June 11, 2010)

Peggy, You are an adventurer at heart! I hope you get the chance to go to Egypt someday and truly explore. A lost pyramid, a pharaoh, a mountain! You go girl!
(
Gerri Russell 12:02pm June 12, 2010)

Rosemary, That's the beautiful thing about technology...it allows all of us the means to understand history in a way we never could before. I remember the first time they had the technology to document the remains of the Titanic where it rests on the ocean floor. That technology brought true answers about what happened that fateful night.
(
Gerri Russell 12:06pm June 12, 2010)

Brandy, No one knows for certain what happened to the Ark of the Covenant. Who knows...it could still be out there waiting for you to discover it!
(
Gerri Russell 12:08pm June 12, 2010)

Sounds great: princess, knight, assassins, adventure, lost treasure, WooHoo! This is right up my street! Thanks, Gerri!

I love historical romances and with Knights,Gotta read this one. We have Indian Mounds locally and I would have loved to have been digging and found some of the arrowheads, pottery, etc. They finished excavating yrs ago.
(

Ohhh I love treasure hunting!! DH does too, he recently got a new metal detector and we hope to do some hunting this fall/winter. We just love it all, the fact of finding something that is old is just thrill.

I'm not sure I've ever thought about hunting for one specfic thing.

I've always loved the area, though I've never been there, that the book covers in the Middle East. I can remember how enthralled I was when I first heard about the city of Petra. It's certainly one place that I still want to see. I'd love to read this book.
(
Sigrun Schulz 12:31pm June 14, 2010)

(
Julie Swaney 8:46pm June 14, 2010)

I had a fabulous visit with the Titanic exhibit in Vegas when we were there. I then saw the tv video last night of the discovery of the ship, which hadn't been released before. I would have loved to have been with that explorer that went down and sent video up to the crew of what was on the ground with the titanic. It gave me shivers, the original exhibit did. If you ever get a chance to see it go!
