Romance Historical

Proud and independent, Savaana Hearnes's extraordinary beauty and fiery gypsy blood have enflamed the passions of many-but she will never be indebted to any man. When an unusual offer from a well-dressed noblewoman is too tempting to resist, however, she agrees to impersonate the newly-wed Lady Clarette Tilmont. But when dashing Sean Gallagher comes to call, all Savaana's carefully laid plans are shattered by desire.

The handsome, rugged Irishman is a welcome change from the aging servants who are watching Savaana's every move, and Sean is pleasantly surprised by the palpable heat of her passion-so uncommon for such a highborn lady! But Sean himself is not what he seems. He is guarding a secret as shocking as Savaana's own. And the mission he is sworn to complete will be compromised if he allows himself to be bewitched by a mysterious minx he burns to hold and to have.

What a great story line, will
have to get.

I love that your hero is a pony. What a guy! We had a German Shepherd that would always position himself between any stranger & my children. as well as myself. We always felt safe when Wolf was around. I miss him, for he truly was my hero!

I'm sorry Lois, I meant to comment on your book, too. That cover is very tantalizing! Yep, the gal does look like she's drooling over that good looking hunk! Can hardly wait to read the book!! :)

I like that you have an animal as your hero. A nice change from the usual.

Hi Lois,
Amazing cover. I'd be tongue tied if I opened my door and saw him there. Have this one on my TRL.
Jamie Fraser is y Hero from Diana Galbadon's Outlander series.

How wonderful to have an animal hero! Who says a hero has to have 2 legs?
(
Joanne Reynolds 6:14am October 28, 2010)

Love the hero as a horse. I don't have any favorite heros. I prefer heroines, who can take care of themselves.

I'm not sure I have any hero's to speak of but I think alot of people are amazing my mom (most of the time) and my boss. all for different reasons though but no I don't think I have any hero's to speak of ;)

My Hero: My Husband of 30 years. He has taken care of me, loved me, put up with me, and stood by me through thick and thin. Yes, everything those vows meant all those many long years ago.

Ms. Greiman, when I first saw this cover, I swooned! Who is this model? And do you know who the artist is? I'll admit, I do so want to win your book, but if not, to the bookstore I happily go!

My hero was my Dad. He was a genius, literally. He could do anything in my eyes. Then he got Alzheimer's and even then his gentle nature came through. Until he reached the point that he couldn't speak clearly, he still asked my Mom every day "What can I do to make things easier for you!" I miss him.

I don't have just one hero, I have to say my parents are my hero's. They have always been there for me and I am lucky enough to have them both healthy and in my life.
I can't wait to read your book it looks fantastic.
(
Jane Thompson 12:09pm October 28, 2010)

I love your cover. It makes me want to read your book, of course. As for my hero, there have been so many in my life that I couldn't single out just one. I think everyone has the power to be a hero at one time or another.

Two of my favorite fictional heroines - Kinsey Millhone and Kay Scarpetta.

My favorite hero was my dad. He was a decorated WWII veteran, husband of nearly 60 years and father to three. He's been gone almost three years now and I still think of him every day.
(
G S Moch 1:12pm October 28, 2010)

My heroes tend to be those that fight for the underdog--the late Minnesota politician Paul Wellstone is a good example.
(
Sue Farrell 1:15pm October 28, 2010)

I enjoy all different kinds of heros and I think I'd drool over the hunk on your cover also.Wow he is one HOT guy.
(
Vickie Hightower 1:40pm October 28, 2010)

What a beautiful pony!
My father is my hero... he was a cop and volunteer firefighter for so many years...
(
Colleen Conklin 2:57pm October 28, 2010)

I've got a few - Mr. Darcy, John
Thornton (from Elizabeth
Gaskell's North and South), and
Mr. Rochester.
(
Margay Roberge 3:05pm October 28, 2010)

My hero would be my older son who served in the Marines, during the Persian Gulf War..
(
Joanne Bozik 3:16pm October 28, 2010)

I have 2 heroes in my life. My first one would have to be my cousin, who was a constant in my life when I was younger, and taught me so many things about nature, astronomy, and music, which I carried over into adulthood. The other hero would have to be my husband, of oourse, who showed me how to appreciate so much, and who stayed with me through the good years as well as the lean years. We've also learned how to "rescue" each other, so to speak, when the other one needed saving in one capacity or another. At times he's had pretty big shoes to fill, since once you get married, a spouse is supposed to take over where a father stops. That didn't come out right, but I think you know what I meant. lol

Anyone who steps up into danger to help others. Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) for example.

I love stories that have characters that break away from the same old Englishman whether the be Scottish Or Irish. Its just a refreshing change
(
Amanda Boyer 5:46pm October 28, 2010)

My hero would have to be my mom. For all the sacrifices she made to make sure me, my brother and sister had a good life
(
Amanda Boyer 5:48pm October 28, 2010)

That's sweet that your hero is your pony. Real heroes are definitely different from fictional ones. To me, the real ones are the ones who are there for the everyday challenges.
(
Maureen Emmons 6:17pm October 28, 2010)

Derek Morgan from Criminal Minds, Eric Delko from CSI: Miami, Harry Potter - just to name a few! ;) Your pony is absolutely adorable!
(
Kelli Jo Calvert 6:22pm October 28, 2010)

Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby is my hero
(
Lisa Garrett 6:54pm October 28, 2010)

What a brave little pony and kudos to you for saving him. My Dad, a WWII vet was a real everyday hero. The father of seven children, he worked his life away on our family farm and sent all 7 of us to college without borrowing a dollar.
(
Susan Gourley 8:36pm October 28, 2010)

My hero would have to be Mike
Rowe from Dirty Jobs LOL! Aside
from being a hottie, he used to be an
opera singer! Tall, dark and
handsome and risks it all to get
down and dirty ! :~)
(
Stefanie Finn 9:11pm October 28, 2010)

My heroes would have to be my grandsons. Their Mother died two years ago and they are both turning into men she would have been proud of.
(
Sheila True 9:28pm October 28, 2010)

We can never have too many heroes. A pony is as goosd as any. When we were kids, our neighbor's collie mix spent aq lot of time at our house with us kids. It was very protective of us. One day when the youngest was crawling towards a stack of rocks near our patio. The dog placed himself between the baby and the rocks not letting her anywhere near them.
My favorite fictional hero is Nathaniel from LAST OF THE MOHICANS - the movie. He is everything I look for i n a hero - brave, honorable, a man of his word.
thanks for an interesting post.
(
Patricia Barraclough 9:42pm October 28, 2010)

My real hero was my Dad, a hard worker for his family. For my fictional heroes, I like them tall, strong, kind & funny.
(
Diane Sallans 9:43pm October 28, 2010)

My heros would be my parents. They've raised myself and my siblings all to be decent human beings who work hard and appreciate lifes blessings. All while working 2 full time jobs each and being foster parents to children in need.
(
Joelle Beebe 10:05pm October 28, 2010)

My husband is my hero. He works to help developing countries.
(
G. Bisbjerg 10:17pm October 28, 2010)

My intellectual hero is Sherlock Holmes. He is very observant and smart to solve the crime mysteries.

He is why I went into forensic science.
(
Kai Wong 10:25pm October 28, 2010)

Wow, that's a hard one...

I've always loved Lisa Kleypas' heroes, with Matthew Swift from Scandal in Spring and Jack Devlin from Suddenly You tied for my favorite.
(
Christine Dunbar 10:44pm October 28, 2010)

My hero would be regular people who overcome difficulties with a smile and never give up. My mom has overcome three types of cancer and she has never given up.
(
Ginger Hinson 11:33pm October 28, 2010)

My favorite heroes are everyday ones who are sensitive yet strong and handsome, of course. I think Rhett Butler in Gone With The Wind gets my vote for solid brashness and ruthless business sense.
(
Alyson Widen 5:19pm October 29, 2010)

Of course my hubby is my hero, too of 27 years :) And the book I'm reading now is my hero! I love so much that I read because they so unique and its hard to pick just one hero! I look at them as being a hero for who they are. Right now my hero is Viscount Simon Iddesleigh from Elizabeth Hoyt's THE SERPENT PRINCE. I haven't cried from a book a few times reading it but I did so for this one. I loved how he was so true to his feelings for her and wasn't one who fought them. Loved that!
