Twice As Nice: Frisco and Fort Worth Book Club Recaps

This week has been a busy one for Fresh Fiction’s local book clubs! Both Frisco and Fort Worth readers gathered on Monday and Tuesday this week to discuss all the latest book news.

For Monday's meetup at the Frisco Barnes & Noble, readers shared thoughts on our titles for the month, WOULD-BE WITCH and FIRST GRAVE ON THE RIGHT, and we had a lengthy discussion about love triangles in long-running series. We had an even split between Team Morelli and Team Ranger (for you Janet Evanovich fans), but all agreed that we would like to see more love triangles that end in the good guy's favor--especially in young adult novels. Other things we're craving include more American historical romances, New Adult books in which the twenty-somethings have realistic money problems, and more hours in the day to pin books and recipes on Pinterest. We can dream, can't we?

On Tuesday, our Fort Worth group met up to enjoy some delicious barbecue (thank you, Spring Creek!), pumpkin cupcakes, and the latest book news. As a few of us were in-between books, suggestions flew from every side of the table for the best picks in everything from cozy mysteries to sci-fi space operas. Our tastes are highly varied at the Fresh Fiction book clubs, but readers will always be able to find fellow lovers of any of their favorite genres.

Are you in the DFW area? Come join one of our monthly book clubs! Find out more on Meetup, and we'll see you there!

I don't live near that area, nor do I have the extra time to
belong to a book club at the moment, but if I did, your
clubs sound like the type that I would love to be a member
of!! What a fun group of Women!! Besides the fun
discussions, you have some yummy food to boot, and I'm sure
some lovely friendships have been forged in the process!! I
had to smile today, after reading this posting!!

We always have a great time! Wish you could join us sometime, even if maybe via cyber?

I live in Minnesota but I love to read about the meetings.
We watched the Centennial series on TV and I would love to
see more Amercian history books. Tracie Peterson is a
favotite author of mine as she has written American
Christian Romance Books and I learn a lot.
Keep up the good work.

I need to add I just finished my review for I Adored a Lord by
Katharine Ashe and I found her on fresh fiction.
