Love romance? Love Harlequin? Have you always dreamed of writing a romance of your own? Enter Harlequine's 5th Annual SO YOU THINK YOU CAN WRITE (SYTYCW) contest to make your dream a reality!

Harlequin’s 5th annual writing contest SYTYCW is open to 7 different countries. The editors are looking for new writing talent with fresh, vibrant voices, for 18 of their Categories (imprints/lines). Contest includes a grand prize of a 2-book publishing contract with Harlequin!

The initial submission period occurs July 2 – September 21, so get your manuscript ready!

This year Harlequin has partnered with WattPad, the world’s largest community of readers and writers. Contest entries are submitted through Wattpad! Visit the Official Wattpage contest page for more information and to submit your story, then share with all your friends using #SYTYCW15.

Grand prize: 2-book publishing contract with Harlequin!

Open to legal residents of: U.K., U.S., Canada (excluding Quebec), Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa (collectively, the “Territory) who have reached the age of majority in their country/state/province/territory of residence or older at the time entry.

SYTYCW contest timeline:

- July 2, 2015 – September 21, 2015 (online writing contest): Write and post your Harlequin romance story on Wattpad.

- September 22, 2015 – October 6, 2015: Judges read FIRST CHAPTER and pitch (Part I and Part II on Wattpad) ONLY to determine the top 50 submissions (but full manuscript must be posted by September 21 to be eligible).

- October 8, 2015 – October 14, 2015: Go to www.Wattpad.com/user/HarlequinSYTYCW and vote for your favorite top 50 submission. The top 25 out of these votes will move on!

- October 15 – November 9, 2015: There are several steps combined here (read rules and regulations for more details) but the judges review the top 25 manuscripts in their entirety, and the top ten finalists move forward.

- November 10, 2015 – November 17, 2015: Visit www.SoYouThinkYouCanWrite.com and vote for your favorite!

- November 19, 2015: Winner announced!
