Hi Fresh Fiction Readers!
I am so excited to be here chatting with you in celebration of the final book in my Kissed by Death
series, DESCENT!
There
are a thousand reasons why I love my job, but getting to bring characters to life that would
only otherwise live in my head is the part that blows my mind every time. Four years ago I
sat
down at a computer with a handful of research notes on World War Two pilots, reincarnation…
and a
sweet southern dead boy named Finn. I never in a million years would have imagined that that
moment would have led me on a four-year journey through Heaven, Hell, and a little place
called
the Inbetween. They might be dead, but this band of reapers warmed my heart in the best way
possible.
Finn, the World War Two fighter pilot, who stole my heart in every way he possibly could
have.
Protective and loving and loyal, he was a character I swooned for. He was a character I was
proud to write.
Anaya, whose story made me laugh and cry and sit back in complete awe of the love between her
and Cash that came from places I didn’t know I had in me. The kind of love that’s perfect in
such a flawed way. She was one of those life changing characters. A character that made me
wish
I had even an ounce of her strength and bravery.
And Easton…what can I say about Easton? This one is tough because it’s still raw. I think I
saved the best for last with him and he had to wait such a long time to be heard. As Gwen
would
say, Easton broke me and put me back together all wrong, on unsteady legs. He might not
believe
it, but tall, dark, and deadly deserves it all. And I tried my best to give it to him.
People ask me often, why on earth would you write about death? It’s so dark! I really don’t
have
an answer. Only that this series wasn’t about an idea. It was about a group of people who
lived
in my head, twisting me up with their stories, begging to be let free. And as dead and
sometimes
seemingly doomed they might seem, they took me on one of the most exciting journeys of my
life.
Thank you for taking the time to share this moment with me and if you are diving into the Kissed by Death
world for the first time, or ending it with me today, thank you! I hope you love Easton and
Gwen’s story as much as I did.
Tara Fuller writes novels. Some about grim reapers. Some about witches. All of course
are
delightfully full of teen angst and kissing.
Tara grew up in a one stop light town in Oklahoma where once upon a time she stayed up with a
flash light reading RL Stine novles and only dreamed of becoming a writer. She has a slight
obsession with music and a shameless addiction for zombie fiction, Mystery Science Theater,
and
black and white mochas.
Tara no longer lives in a one stop light town. Now she lives with her family in a slightly
larger town in North Carolina where they have at least three stoplights.

He'll destroy everything and everyone to save her...including himself.
Easton doesn't believe in love. He believes in death. Darkness. Sin. As a reaper for Hell,
it's
all he's known for more than four hundred years. So when he gets slapped with the job of
training the boss's daughter, an angel that knows nothing but joy, he knows he's in for a
world
of trouble.
Though he's made it clear he wants nothing to do with her outside of work, Gwen will do
whatever
it takes to get close to the dark and wounded reaper - even taint her angelic image and
become a
reaper herself. But in all her planning, she forgot to factor in one thing - how far the
demons
Easton doomed to Hell will go for revenge.
When the dangers of Hell threaten Gwen, Easton will destroy everything and everyone to save
her.
But as the darkness closes in, will he be able to save himself?
