Happy holidays! I love this time year. In fact, I love everything about it! I
don’t know about you, but I give a lot of books for presents, everything from
cookbooks for the mother-in-law to manga comics for the nephews. I have to
share my love of books. It’s just the way I’m made.
I have some wonderful books to share with you this month. Maybe you’ll want to
pick some up for gifts or just to read during those quiet times. (Smile, like
we have any quiet time this year.)
Midnight Sins is the
second book in my friend Cynthia Eden’s trilogy. She says, “When I originally came up with
the idea for this story, I thought of it as Basic Instinct meets The X-Files.
The hero of my story, Detective Todd Brooks, is on the hunt for a serial killer-
-he just never expects to fall for his chief suspect. And the man certainly
never expects to discover that Cara Maloan is a succubus...”

Haynes has a great new anthology, Unlaced, out with Jaci Burton, Joey W. Hill and Denise Rossetti. “My editor invited me to do an anthology about
corsets,” Haynes says. “Sure, I said, then hung up frantically searching for a
story. At the time, my husband was setting up to take my updated author photo.
He came up with the idea! Why didn’t I write about an amateur photographer who
takes erotic photos of a woman in a corset...and go from there.”
Wolf Tales VII is Kate Douglas’ new one
about Chanku who are being attacked by all sides. “Who is leading the attacks,
and why? When uber-alpha Anton Cheval calls his people together, their combined
sexual energy leads to unexpected results and an increase in unexplained powers-
-with frightening consequences,” says Douglas. “Will the Chanku survive a
future that puts all their lives at risk?”
Free Pass, from Elizabeth Scott, is
about couples that offer each other a none-time fling with a stranger. When
each of them pursues their fantasy, there are surprising results. “So much of
what is out there is written by men for men,” says Scott. “I created a book
from a woman's perspective... it explores erotic fantasies with a
tantalizing "what if?" It was so much fun to write, because I turned off my
inner censor and let the naughty storyline take me for a ride!
In Nora’s Soul, by Margay Leah Justice, all
hell breaks out, for real. It’s what happens when angels of light and dark
collide on Earth. “This was the book that got inside my head and wouldn't
leave,” she says. “I had to write it due to the persistence of one particular
character named Dante. He wouldn't leave me alone until I got it right.
As a lieutenant of the Federation military, Sera Ayers is accustomed to giving
orders, not taking them in Undercover, by Lauren Dane. Now she must obey the one man she can't stand—and
can't stop thinking about. “With the enemy Imperialists gaining ground, a
covert team is assembled by Ash Walker,” says Dane. “Ten years before, Sera had
lovingly submitted to Ash's dominance in the bedroom. But when he was forced
into a political marriage, she refused to play mistress. His marriage now over,
Ash wants Sera on his team—and back in his bed.
