If the Amoveo were to celebrate Christmas, I'm quite sure they would gather at the royal family's ranch in Montana. The place has already become something of a compound for Amoveo who have mated with human-Amoveo hybrids. Between the Purist Amoveo who hate the hybrids and the Caedo family (humans who hunt Amoveo), life has been a little crazy lately.

Someday I'd love to write a Christmas novella for my Amoveo and when I do, you can bet there will be certain traditions celebrated by these ancient shape shfiters.

Richard and Salinda Muldavi, the Amoveo royal couple, have had several children in their three hundred year marriage and in all liklihood their offspirng would return to share the holidays with the family. But the Christmas celebration wouldn't be limited to blood relatives becuase all Amoveo are family--regardless of blood relation or clan.

They wouldn't get their tree form a lot. Oh no. They would find two trees on the expansive property to cut down and use for the festive season. And due to their skills of visualization they could get the trees back to the house in the blink of an eye.

Salinda would have a Christmas tree in the grand entry way decorated only with little white lights and red bows but the living room would house the big tree. They would gather together with all of the Amoveo who lived on the property to decorate the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Dominic, the hero in UNCLAIMED, would probably be caught giving the smaller children horsey rides around the family room or letting them climb on him like a jungle gym.

If there was snow on the ground for Christmas Eve, Richard would hook a few of his prize horses up to a grand white and silver sleigh and take everyone on a snowy sleigh ride around the ranch. While they wouldn't open all of their presents on Christmas Eve, they would give the children one gift--a pair of Christmas pajamas.

The Amoveo would cherish time together and relish in the traditions they've carved out over the years. While there would surely be grand gifts and sparklig ornaments, the one thing that would stand out above all others is family. The Amoveo may be beautiful, ancient, and powerful but more than anything else, they're loyal and devoted to their loved ones.

How about you? What's your favorite part of the holidays? One commenter will win UNCLAIMED

UNCLAIMED BY SARA HUMPHREYS - IN STORES DECEMBER 2013

She Works Hard to be Normal...

Tatiana Winters loves the freedom of her life as a veterinarian in Oregon. It's only reluctantly that she agrees to help cure a mysterious illness among the horses on a Montana ranch—the ranch of the Amoveo Prince. Tatiana is no ordinary vet—she's a hybrid from the Timber Wolf Clan, but she wants nothing to do with the world of the Amoveo shifters.

But There's No Escaping Destiny...

Dominic Trejada serves as a Guardian, one of the elite protectors of the Prince's Montana ranch. As a dedicated Amoveo warrior, he is desperate to find his mate, and time is running out. He knows Tatiana is the one—but if he can't convince her, he may not be able to protect her from the evil that's rapidly closing in...

Hi Linda! I never thought of visiting theme parks at the holidays but I bet they
look beautiful!
(Sara Humphreys 9:19am December 12, 2013)

Hi Bonnie--My mom says that being a grandparent is THE best.
(Sara Humphreys 9:19am December 12, 2013)

My favorite part of the Holidays starts with decorating the tree. The majority of the ornaments have been hand-made by me, and each one holds a memory. There are a couple on the tree that I made with my Mom. She's no longer here, and those are extra-special!! The other favorite part is the baking. I love to bake my Mom's special cookies, among others, that she was known for, and to give them to friends and family. It wouldn't be Christmas without having this as part of my yearly ritual!! May you have a very merry Christmas, and a happy and healthy New Year!!
(Peggy Roberson 9:29am December 12, 2013)

hi Peggy! I LOVE decorating the tree but baking is not my thing. Merry Christmas
to you and your family.
(Sara Humphreys 10:09am December 12, 2013)

Truth? I'm not a big fan of Christmas. My Mom passed away
on the 13th of December when I was 5 and since then my
Christmas' haven't felt 'Merry' despite everyone's and my
own attempts. But I do love watching children meeting
Santa. I love Santa! I love the happy faces, the scared
faces, but mostly I love how Santa makes the kids happy.
(Valerie Valicento 10:23am December 12, 2013)

Hi Valerie-I'm so sorry about the loss of your mother, especially at such a young
age. You're right about Santa. He sure does make the kids smile.
(Sara Humphreys 10:30am December 12, 2013)

(Yaritza Santana 5:39pm December 12, 2013)

I especially love getting together with family. But also love the Christmas music and movies, new Christmas books that come out to read, baking Christmas cookies and the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations, especially outside in front of all the homes (so gorgeous)! We have one home in our neighborhood that decorated the entire tiered roofline, windows, doors, etc. with bright deep blue lights, and it's breathtaking. Looks like a Christmas card.
(Linda Luinstra 5:49pm December 12, 2013)

I wanted to add, that I love your beautiful book cover with the wolf. The colors are beautiful. I love wolves esp. werewolves paranormal books so much, anyway. Thanks for the contest!

Wow, Congrats on your new book: UNCLAIMED. I love the book
cover too! When, I was growing up on the farm in Kansas I
love the White Christmas every year with pretty presents and
family. Holidays are hard for me now because my Mom and
Sister both passed away a month before Christmas in 1995. I
am thankful for Jesus Christ saving us all and that is what
makes Christmas bearable. I used to be a Proofreader for
writers and thought I would let You know that Offspring and
Sparkling ornaments is misspelled too. I would love to win
