Good morning! Thank you for having me at Fresh Fiction. I'm very happy to be back to visit with you again.

I thought that today I would share with you some of the reasons I have a long standing love affair with Regency Romances. I have been hooked on all things British since my preteens. I think my attraction started because I grew up in the sixties when the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Herman's Hermits were all the rage. They were the heroes in my teenage fantasies. I went to sleep each night listening to their songs. I loved their proper-sounding accents when they talked and I sat glued to the TV the few times they were on.

I also loved looking at pictures and paintings that showed the English countryside with its gently rolling hills, dotted with stately manor homes surrounded by fabulous gardens that went on forever with vistas, waterfalls, and neatly trimmed yew. I loved the fact that they had a King and Queen. I still think that is so cool and I'm a Kate and William watcher. I've always been attracted to royalty. So I loved the British long before I read my first Regency Romance.

To me there's just something very sexy about a powerful, titled gentleman dressed in buckskin trousers, shiny Hessian knee boots, with his neckcloth perfectly tied. During the Regency men were gentlemen. They wanted to make ladies feel beautiful, tempting and cared for. A Regency gentleman was expected to open the door for a lady, pull out her chair, and he watched his language and his manners around her, too.

I love thoughts of brocaded silk gowns, white cotton chemises, satin slippers, and three strands of pearls lying delicately against skin the color of warm alabaster. I like to think that all the grand ladies of quality of the Regency were as strong and spirited as the heroines I write in my books. Innocence during the Regency intrigues me, too. I enjoy writing about that first blush of true love that simmers and sizzles until the hero and heroine know the moment they have to be together.

I enjoy writing about ballrooms glittering with candlelight and cooled by a night wind, while beautifully gowned ladies and handsomely dressed gentlemen dance a quadrille. I love to imagine young ladies smiling behind fans, winking at a rogue, or dropping a lace handkerchief as a dashing gent walks by.

These are just a few snippets of what makes the Regency so special to me. I hope I've teased your senses about the British and the fabulous Regency Romance. You'll experience all things I've written about it here in my latest book THE ROGUE STEALS A BRIDE. It's the sixth and final book in the Rogues' Dynasty Series. But you don't have to read the first five books before enjoying THE ROGUE STEALS A BRIDE. Each book stands alone but some characters are in all the books.

I've included a short synopsis for you to enjoy.

Matson Brentwood has finally met the woman of his dreams. The lovely, red-haired Sophia Hart heats his blood like no other lady. Her alluring countenance has stopped him dead in his tracks. But no matter how attracted he is to her, he can't give into his desire to possess her in every way because she is the ward of the man he's sworn to hate.

Newly arrived in London, Miss Sophia Hart is looking for a husband—for herself and for one of her twin spinster aunts who has decided she wants a man. Sophia agrees to help her aunt by allowing older gentlemen to call on her and then come up with ways to make sure her aunt spends more time with the gentleman than Sophia does.

But there's more than just an unwanted guardian and a long list of beaus standing between Sophia and Matson. Sophia can't give into the maddening charms of the darkly handsome and intriguing Matson. She must deny her love for him and pay her debt to her father for costing him the love of his life.

I don't read a lot of historicals (too long; I don't want to read past midnight), but I DID read AN EARL TO ENCHANT and just loved it! I enjoyed your witty dialogue tremendously (always a winner "in my book", LOL), liked the mystery of her father's murder woven through the romance, melted with the tenderness between the H/h, and just had to finish the book the same day I started it. Thank you for that!
That being said, so to speak, I'd love to read Matson and Sophia's love story. Is there witty dialogue there too? Sure hope so!

I have twin spinster aunts in The Rogue Steals A Bride so I had a lot of fun with them as well as Sophia and Matson. I think I'm noted for humorous dialogue. I certainly work hard to make it so. I am looking forward to reading this final book in the
series. I have read the other five and absolutely loved
them. It's been a long wait for Matson's story because I
didn't discover your books until last summer and the other
five were all out, so I was able to read them in in quick
succession. I am rereading the last two in this series just
to get me back in the Brentwood Twins frame of mind. I love
books with twins in them because I am the mother of
identical twin boys. Thank you for the contest.

I've actually never read too many Regency romance. I think the closest I've gotten to the genre is Pride and Prejudice. It is one of my absolute favorites but I just haven't managed to pick up any other real romance novels. Perhaps I'll get lucky and yours will be the first I read. =)

I started reading Regency romances so that's probably why I
love them so much! I've now expanded into the Victorian
period, Georgian, Medieval, etc, but still love Regencies the
