I’ve always loved the written word, both reading and writing it. Tie that with my
love of romance novels and you get the 5 most romantic words in the English
language – at least to me :)
1. Gaze – You know the kind I mean. The one a man gives you across a room
that tells you, you are the only woman he sees. You know he is undressing you
with his eyes and you love it.
2. Flirt – The verbal cat and mouse game played between a man and a woman.
The conversation could be about something as ordinary as brushing your teeth;
however, the sexual undertones are the chocolate cupcake’s creamy filling.
3. Whisper – When a man steps up behind you and whispers your name against
your neck, it can send chills up and down your spine. More emotion can be
expressed in that one whispered name than written in a whole paragraph.
4. Caress – The strongest man’s touch turns gentle when caressing his
woman. Caressing her neck, up and down the arm and along her thighs all reveal
his desire and love.
5. Treasure – To be treasured by a man makes a woman feel sexy and
desirable. In my debut novel, Deshi Han treats his Annie as treasure; as Hong
Kong treasure.

Leyte Province in the Philippines. Her running steps echoed from the walls. Would
he catch her? It meant white slavery if he did. Slamming open the kitchen door,
she burst out of the hotel despite the typhoon ravaging the eastern coast. The
destructive winds and rains were buffered in the alleyway behind the hotel, but
she still had to fight for each step away from the man she knew was just behind
her.
Without warning, massive walls of water rushed into the alley from both ends. The
sixteen-foot wave scooped her up and battered her against the buildings. When the
storm surge receded, she lay bruised and unconscious beneath a mass of water-
logged debris.
Annie wakes after the typhoon in a church-turned-shelter with amnesia. All around
her misery and devastation.
“I will take her.”
Deshi Han, Hong Kong’s Kung Fu moviestar/director and philanthropist, assumes
responsibility for the young American woman as one of his charity works.
She adored his accent.
As she travels to exotic cities while Deshi films, Annie quickly falls for her
handsome rescuer. But Deshi continues to deny his feelings for Annie believing a
serious relationship would interfere with his career and charity works.
His dark eyes drank in every inch of her body.
However, not everyone is thrilled with their budding romance and Annie’s
returning memory and nightmares reveal a danger from her past.
Can Deshi continue to deny his love for Annie? Will Annie survive her forgotten
danger?
