About book covers, I mean.

Oh, I know, this is a subject that has been beaten to death, but I've had some experiences of late that make me rethink some of my previous preferences. I love the covers for my Jinx treasure hunting covers, including my current WILD JINX, but I am being told by the powers that be that the big buyers do not consider these good sellers.

Like I wrote to another writer a bit ago. I never read the back cover. When I pick up a book to read I check the picture on the cover and the title. If I like what I see I read it. Doesn't have to be a "hunk" on it. Wild horses, a quiet pond, flowing river, all those catch my eye too.

I don't buy your books for the covers. I buy your books because of the writing inside. I especially dislike covers that look nothing like the descriptions of the people inside. All cover designers should be required to read the book before designing the cover! I like your Jinx cover as they are.
