For those of you who've already grabbed SUMMER ON MAIN STREET, you might have gotten the subtle reference to
Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing in TELL ME TRUE. Hunter and Chelsea are my
modern,
Southern takes on Benedict and Beatrice. On the outside, there's a "skirmish of wit"
between
them, but it masks their subconscious attraction to each other.
Or, to be more specific, Hunter's unspoken attraction and Chelsea's unrealized
attraction.
As in the play, their friends use the event of a wedding to bring these two proud and
stubborn
lovers together. "Some Cupid kills with arrows; some with traps."
I used to work at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, so I love taking the Bard's plays
and
twisting them into something new. I had a blast playing with this one.
What are some of your favorite Shakespeare plays?

I sometimes don't have time for a full-length book so a bunch of novellas fit the bill. Add small towns and I am hooked.
