Ophelia London | CROSSING ABBY ROAD

bookbubgoodreadsYouTubetwitterfacebookamazonblog
Hi there! Thanks for having me on your fabulous blog again, this time to talk about my new novel, CROSSING ABBY ROAD. The story is about Todd, a relationship-weary former Marine sniper, who is finally ready to lay down roots and start building a life, starting with a big meeting with the bank today to talk about opening a second surf shop.

Then Abigail Kellyโ€”the lead singer in one of the most popular bands todayโ€”walks
into his store. Abbyโ€™s in town for one day, so, like the tagline on the book
cover says: Toddโ€™s got only one day to win her heart.

Iโ€™ve decided to do a little profile sketch of my two main characters. Hopefully
youโ€™ll love them as much as I do!

Meet the Hero

Name: Todd Camford

Profession: Ex-Marine sniper-turned owner of Toddโ€™s Tackle surf shop

Origin: half Italian. Fluent in four languages

Home base: happy to finally plant permanent roots in Seaside, Florida

Kudos: Bronze Star with a โ€œVโ€ device for valor while serving in Afghanistan as a
scout sniper. Awarded โ€œBest Uncle in the Universeโ€ by five-year-old niece

Workouts: boxing, cave-diving, running on the beach

Vice: allowing his temper to get the better of him, needing to please his father
too muchโ€ฆsometimes, closed off to loveโ€”until now.

About Todd: strong, patient until pushed, tendency to force-feed key lime pie
to adorable rock starlets, ready to fall in love for the last time.

Meet the Heroine

Name: Abigail Kelly

Profession: lead singer of Mustang Sally

Origin: a British Isles hodgepodge; music speed-reader, can say โ€œGoodnight,
thank you for comingโ€ in seven languages

Home base: Malibu, Californiaโ€ฆwhen not on a tour bus

Kudos: 5 Grammys, 6 AMAโ€™s, 9 Peopleโ€™s Choice Awards

Diet: Lazy vegetarian; when training, eats only dark chocolate, no alcohol

Vices: pink champagne cake, tendency to be a people-pleaser, and men with
exceptionally nice posteriors

About Abby: creative, caring, loyal, cautiously-optimistic, looking for love in
all the wrong places. Maybe she needs to try a new placeโ€ฆlike, sayโ€ฆa small beach
town in Florida?

***

Hopefully these little character profiles whet your romance whistle, and youโ€™ll
have to know what happens when these two explosive personalities collide. :)
When it comes to reading romance, are you more about opposites attract or a
perfect match?

About CROSSING ABBY ROAD

He's got one day to win the heart of America's sweetheart

Todd Camford went from Marine sniper to owning a beachfront surf shop in
Florida, and he couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, the programming from his
training hasn't quite been eliminated. His ex called him an unfeeling cyborg,
but he's a free-flying, unfettered hawk, damn it. Relationships are out of the
question...

And then she comes into his shop.

Everyone knows who Abigail Kelly is--mega rockstar, tabloid fixture. Still,
nothing prepares Todd for Abby's smoky gray eyes or the swift breathlessness of
their instant chemistry. He'd be an ass (or possibly insane) to think he can
resist her. Just for today, maybe he'll keep an eye on her to make sure she
doesn't get mobbed. Because really, how much damage could one day with a
super-hot, kick-ass celebrity really do?

About Ophelia London

USA Today bestselling author Ophelia London was born and raised among the redwood trees in beautiful northern California. Once she was fully educated, she decided to settle in Florida, but her car broke down in Texas and sheโ€™s lived in Dallas ever since. A cupcake and treadmill aficionado (obviously those things are connected), she spends her time watching arthouse movies and impossibly trashy TV, while living vicariously through the characters in the books she writes. Visit her books here, but donโ€™t call when The Vampire Diaries (or Dawsonโ€™s Creek) is on.

Re: Ophelia London | CROSSING ABBY ROAD

I don't think I really have a preference. It really depends
on the mood that I'm in, because an opposites attract
Romance involves a bit more to the story line than a perfect
match does. The stories also tend to run a little
different, and opposites can tend to be frustrating at times
while reading them, until the couples get together. I'm
looking forward to reading your latest book. It sounds like
a great Spring read, and I have it on my TBR list.
Congratulations on what I know will be a big seller!!
