Katie Lane | Top 5 Reasons to Go Cowboy-Crazy

twitter

1. Tight jeans. Sometimes a picture speaks louder than words.

2. Snap-down shirts. What woman wouldn’t like to be able to take a hot guy’s
shirt off with just one tug and the staccato pop of snaps? In the first book of
my Deep in the Heart of Texas series, Going Cowboy Crazy, Faith Aldridge does
just that and finds her dream cowboy beneath.

3. Cowboy hat. There’s just something about a pair of pretty eyes peeking out
from beneath the brim of a cowboy hat that makes me melt. That, and I love when
a man tips his hat or takes it off and covers his heart for the national anthem.

4. Boots. In The Last Cowboy in Texas, there’s a love scene where my hero,
Beckett Cates, uses the toes of his cowboy boots to get what he wants. Since I
don’t want to be a spoiler, I’ll leave it at that. Ha!

5. Big honkin’ trucks. Bubba’s big honkin’ truck has become a main character in
my series. The truck appears in almost every book, and the folks of Bramble love
to see it being driven down Main Street with American and Texas flags flapping
and bull balls swinging. And the bench seat has come in real handy for doing a
little sparkin’ out at Sutter Springs.

About THE LAST COWBOY IN TEXAS, book 7 in Katie Lane’s Deep in the Heart of Texas series

Country music princess Starlet Brubaker has a sweet tooth for moon pies and cowboys: both are yummy-and you can never have just one. Now Beckett Cates may not be a cowboy, but he certainly has the heart, soul-and body-to whet her appetite. He's a sexy ex-Marine with a touch hotter than the scorching Texas sun and arms strong enough to catch her when she lands into trouble.

Playing bodyguard to America's sweetheart isn't easy for Beckett. But falling
for her sure is. Unfortunately, Starlet has a reputation for keeping a guy or
two wrapped around her finger and Beckett refuses to be anybody's backup. So now
it's up to Starlet to prove that she's put her cowboy-crazy days behind her.
Otherwise, she'll be singing solo instead of living in harmony with the man
who's loved her even before her fame and fortune.
